Buhari took far too long to make the right decision. Clearly, some of the ex-service chief could not adapt to the changing security situation of the country which is why they failed in discharging their duties. |

LTGEN: Let put a contrary opinion to that last statement about the NAF cutting costs ( not defending them) I kept quiet on the last two videos that the NAF released . MARTE : This was brutal to watch and the aftermath showed why they used the 500 kg napalm bombs that was to send an extra ordinary message one picture showed the insidious nature of napalm burned to the skeleton ( 2 bh kia) TIMBUKTU triangle At first it showed some rockets being aimed closed to the vehicles ( missing on purposes?) no this was for shrapnel purposes to maim not to kill thereby a liability for bh In the same video the next strafe it got the next set of vehicles ( spot on) i have also seen some gun trucks with not bullet holes/ cannon but shrapnel that has torn through them. My critique of the NAF is this : Not enough MI-171 E They don't have any future plans to buy the MI-28. This is what they should be planning for ( The future). Did you mean not enough MI-171E or MI-35M? |

GabrielYulaw: Understood. But i said the East is *about* the most peaceful region. Since robbery and kidnapping dey everywhere let the government just flood all regions with checkpoints, rather than mainly reserving that for the East. I don't know how terrible the checkpoint situation is in SE but the South generally, has these ridiculous checkpoints that benefit only the theiving officers manning them. There are not as much checkpoints in the North compare to the South which makes you chuckle at the irony. And SE is the most peaceful geopolitical zone in Nigeria right now. It is not perfect, but the security situation over there is better than the other regions. However, it may not remain so for much longer, especially as the IPOB now have an armed branch. |

Sahara Reporter, aka, number one enemy of Nigeria is already dragging NAF for posting fake images as images of recent ops in Marte. Out of the four images posted by NAF, only one was old yet Sahara Reporter is discrediting the veracity of the entire collection.
I don't blame them though, sychopant who care more about their pocket than the military have continued posting old images as new muddling the whole thing up and when they are corrected, they labeled people as jealous and unpatriotic.
This is also why some people have issues with most of us on this thread, especially when they posts old images and videos claiming they are new. |

NewDelhi: Why was that soldier stabbing and trying to use knife to pluck out the eys of that dead Boko Haram fighter? This action is far worse than the incidence of 2013 that sparked outrage when an American marine urinated on a dead Taliban. He shouldn't go unpunished. Seriously, Nigerian Army should advice soldiers to stop maltreating corpses. I understand their anger but it is not a good thing. The other day, one was breaking the penis of a burnt terrorists. I couldn't stomach it. |

Sad There is a reason why Defence Headquarter Nigeria had to publicly proclaim twice that they have no link with him. DHQ specifically accused him of making up stories to could jeopardize the relationship between Nigeria and her allies. |

kabe1: With the recent offensive I would expect NAF to begin as a matter of urgency quick fire drills on base protection in Borno, Yola and Zamfara.
SF forces and QRF need to practice base defence as often as possible to ensure an terrorist adventurism is decisively squashed. NAF is the biggest threat to the terrorists right now. The 2013 Maiduguri Air Force base attack should never happen again. All Air Force bases across the federation needs to be beefed up as a matter of national security. |

JohnEagle96: probably enroute to Maiduguri we need more of it and Mi-35P Not enroute to Maiduguri. Definitely back to KD base. If you stay in KD, you will notice lots of military helicopters going and coming back from missions. It's 24/7. The Airforce is really trying, tbh. |

shogz89: Parson my ignorance bro, but was this assault by NAF carried out during the day, or are we seeing a night operation through the eyes of a night vision enabled aircraft.. Cos some part of the video is bright and other part looks very dark with burning vehicles? It was all at night. Some parts of the footage were captured with normal camera while most part was infrared camera. |
