If the USA truly believed in the efficacy of the A29 why would they have only 3 of these aircraft according to you, that's SHOCKING. When the USAF procures it procurers in hundreds not even in units of 10.

It's common sense that seems to have evaded quite a few here. if the USAF has only three, that in itself tells the story.

USAF ordered only 3 units of Super Tucano and another 3 units of AT-6 Wolverine because they are for experimental purpose. The experiment will commence once delivery starts in 2021. It's only after the experiment that the correctness of the hypotheses can be determined.

USAF wanted a high performance, low budget plane that can perform wonderfully in uncontested airspace / low threat environment. And the A-29 Super Tucano is that plane. The Super Tucano has excellent battlefield record that cannot be overemphasized so it's highly likely to win that experiment. After the experiment USAF will then go ahead with initially cancelled order of 360 units.

The problem with you is that you're unable to change even in the face of new information. And a man with an unchanging mind is doomed.

The first probe was to test the strength and viability of troops, their Response Time, Response Approach/Deployment Pattern and Rate (RADPAR), response firepower and avail themselves of strategies to implement in subsequent waves of probes/assails that's forthcoming.

Next ISWAP/JAS probe on the Monguno base would be multi-pronged than last time and since they've started with SVBIED (which unfortunately for them​ wasn't detonated​), there won't be less than three [3] SVBIEDs in their trail this time. Probable reasons:
i. To avert last time scenario of failed detonation.
ii. For optimised suppression of fatal/hardened counter attacks.
iii. For psychological deterrence. Etc

Operation Lafiya Dole Land And Air Components Repel Attack And Inflict Heavy Casualties On Boko Haram/Iswap Terrorists In Monguno Borno State.

The Ground troops of Sector 3 and Air Task Force Operation LAFIYA DOLE successfully repelled attack on Monguno town & state of West Africa terrorists who attempted to breach Munguno Town in Borno State on Saturday, 13 June 2020.

During the combined brave Sector 3 counter attack and precise ISR and munition delivery by the Air Task Force, 20 Boko Haram/ISWAP fighters were neutralized and 4 of their gun trucks destroyed. The troops also captured some of the terrorists and their equipment.

The High Command of the Armed Forces of Nigeria commends the Land component and Air Task Force of Operation LAFIYA DOLE for the dexterity and professionalism exhibited during this operation.

The #troops are further encouraged to remain resolute and decisive in their ground and air offensives in the theatre.
