If you truly believe that COVID-19 is not in Kogi state then you're daft.
Kogi shares boundary with 10 states and all have declared cases of the virus. Yahaya Bello, for reasons best known to him, has discouraged testing and if you don't test, how can you know there are any cases. |

jln115: Personally I think the Bronco would've been more bang for your buck in Nigeria's case, as it can fulfill a multitude of roles..........A country like the US can afford Aircraft with specialized roles, where as in SA and Nigeria aircraft have to be multi role as the funds simply dont allow for specialized aircraft.
Again this is just my opinion, and NAF definitely didn't go wrong with the A29!!
Also being SAn im slightly biased towards the Bronco 2 I learnt on Smithsonian that the US used OV-10 against ISIS in Iraq. That Vietnam era airplane still going strong. |

Yeah, they do that a lot. If they put the energy they expend in calling people to come back to their network in fixing it, they wouldn't need that cooperate begging in the first place. Odunayaw: You immediately thought I meant immediate threats ba? Don't jump next time. The threats range of Nigeria, present, future, in the ages to come will never need us to arm like Algeria. I recall the first time myself and my sibling watched "24". I remember saying, "Thank God Nigeria is not having terrorism problems like USA." Few years later Boko Haram issue became full blown, worse than what Jack Bauer had to deal with in "24". Very few people saw that coming. The only thing that is constant in life is change. We can't predict the future threat Nigeria will be facing which is why we need to prepare for all eventualities. |

FieldMarshall06: People no dey believe say some people dey wey know pass them. I myself have good knowledge of missile systems.
Moving target does not matter bro. It depends on the missile. That guy said repeatedly ''Fire & Forget missile''. Those are advanced missiles that have inbuilt radars. When they approach the preset vicinity, their inbuilt radar activates, tracks the newest position of the ship, and thrusts for impact just below the waterline.
Radars are different types and categories. Most anti-ship missiles have an ''approach tracking mechanism'' different from the original source that fired the missile. So, the original preset coordinates only takes it to the vicinity of the target, but the missile's tracking system locks on to the target's newest position for final impact.
Anti-ship missiles may use inbuilt radars and high explosive warhead; anti-aircraft missiles may use inbuilt radars and fragmentation warheads that explodes fragments around the plane to increases the chances of destroying the moving plane. Some missiles are heat seeking, radiation seeking, etc. That is, the missile's inbuilt systems use the heat or radiation from the target to track it.
So, moving targets don't matter. Missiles are not rockets. They are designed for moving targets; and they have inbuilt systems that finds a property of the moving target, locks on to it and follows it to impact. That is why missiles pursue fighter jets to hell. The pilot does all the manoeuvres, yet the missile is still following. That is because the inbuilt system has locked onto something from the jet- maybe exhaust heat, radiation, signals- anything. So your moving target at sea don't hold water. And forget this matter abeg.
Satisfy yourself that the guy @fineman87 know pass you. He was a top shop on Beegeagle's blog too. I know that. Okay Fineman87. This is one of your account for exigencies? |

Despite the fact that a lot of people misunderstand him and call him names, he still does his job. Kudos to him! NAF has been doing a tremendous job in ensuring there is no breathing space for the terrorists. I can't imagine how the battlefield will look like when the Tucano and JF-17 arrives. The DSS and NIA need to up their ante in other to counter ISWAP intelligence gathering unit. We have seen how this unit carry out raids in top vigilantes' homes to murder them. |

Look at the first page and tell me why virtually everyone didn't listen to the clip before talking trash. You may not agree with a point by stating your point. Insulting a man who never insulted you is the basest form one can be. If you don't agree with an opinion, you are free to counter with a superior argument, not with insults to anyone let alone a man of God. Too many people need to learn Man of God. He is just a charlatan, nothing more. |

Seun: The "facts" of the matter (according to Pastor Chris) are as follows: 1) The lockdown was not science. So he was right all the time. 2) Everything we knew became like we never went to school. (clearly) 3) The lockdown didn't save lives; it put lives at risk. But it is good for politicians. 4) The face-masks are embarrassing to science. Real science. 5) The scientific masks are not useful in public. They are used in clean environments. 6) The WHO and CDC said the mask will not work. 7) If we go by science you should not wear the mask. 8} Wearing of the mask is not science. It's politics. 9) Scientifically, the face-mask is dangerous to your health. 10) This is the truth. What he is unwilling to accept is the fact that the mask may be unable to prevent one from catching it but it definitely will reduce the chances of one spreading it. |

komekn: I challenge you to give one post not two a simple screenshot will suffice , where l said contract delivery starts in 2024.
If you can not what does that make you. ❓❓
I am specific with language not assumptive and my diction not ambiguous but very clear. Here you go. komekn: In all honesty l have zero interest in the rational of the USA's over priced arms industry cost benefit analysis. And the comparison benefits of the F35, A29 & A10.
It's a deviation from the core discussion, which is essentially what's best for Nigeria.
In that context is it best value to buy 12 turboprop A29 Tucano for $600 million that will not be delivered until 2024 for supposedly poorer partner countries. It's an absolute waste of money IMO.
Consider how much the over priced precision ordinances and missiles that the A29 will require to be effective. Do you think it's sustainable in the long term❓
It essentially it makes a nonsense of the claimed operating cost of $500 an hour when you are paying $600 million to procure just 12 aircraft.
But back to the original discourse which was to look at alternative options and consider best value for the greatest delivery outcome.
A consideration of other platforms which l did with the immediately available Wing Loong II UAV. And its much cheaper precision ordinances and missiles and 30 hour endurance for ISTAR. As well as the SU25 which has a comparable operating cost to the A29 and far more adapt to the CAS role which people feel, not me is intrinsic for succes in the NE.
But a quite a few consider the discussion to be antagonistic and contentious. Which it really should not be. |
