those Gunships Don't even need to fly low level for u to feel their downwash.
Last year when MI35p flew over my compound the gates where literally vibrating...
And it's fast grin I couldn't take a pic
Which is why I find it ridiculous when I watch scenes in American military movies where helicopters land on their target's roof and the occupants of their building will still have no clue.

I have seen NAF and Nigerian police helicopters flyby on several occasions and I must say those beasts make hella of a noise. You hear them before you even see them.

I think the video only shows ground coordination bombardment not airstrike.
Yes, just artillery strike is shown in the video as it was recorded yesterday. Today, Chadian Air force Sukhoi ground attack aircraft pounded ISWAP terrorists location in the Lake Chad area.

VIDEO: Nigeria, Cameroon, Chad Pound ISWAP Terrorists in Lake Chad Islands- MNJTF Spokesperson

In the continuing offensive operations to degrade and ultimately neutralize the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) and other criminal sub-national entities, the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) has in the past 48 hours been conducting joint artillery and air interdictions of identified ISWAP strong points and High Value Targets in the Lake Chad Islands (the Tumbuns).

2. Following recent collation of intelligence from multiple credible sources, the Cameroonian Air Force Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) platform conducted a detailed surveillance of ISWAP strongholds in the Tumbuns which identified some of their key installations including training camps, logistics bases and other high value targets. Based on this, a massive air and artillery interdiction was conducted by the Nigerian Air Force jets and the Artillery of MNJTF Sector 3 (Nigeria) while the Cameroonian ISR provided aerial observation. The Battle Damage Assessment shows that several terrorists were killed, while many buildings believed to have held valuable terror infrastructure were incinerated. Secondary explosions which could be seen in the video suggests that operational vehicles and fuel storage were also impacted in the ensuing inferno. As part of the strategy to sustain the tempo of the operations, in the early hours of today, the Chadian Sukhoi Ground Attack Aircrafts also conducted series of interdictions on multiple targets in the Tumbuns.

3. In the coming days, the combined air assets of Troops Contributing Countries under the auspices of the MNJTF will intensify interdictions to further degrade the capability of the terrorist organisation. This is with a view to restraining ISWAP from carrying out any attack on military or civilian targets within the MNJTF area of operation.

4. The MNJTF with the support of Troop Contributing Countries and strategic partners, will sustain its current posture until the liquidation of threats of terrorism in the Lake Chad Basin is achieved.

First of all, which ISR asset his this ?

Coalition forces of Nigerian, Chadian and Cameroonian forces pound BHT position around lake chad basin area.
From the video, it says it belongs to the Cameronians. Chadian Sukhoi also took part in the airstrike.
It's good to know that our neighbors are also engaging their air force in the fight against terror.

Maybe if you read Nemesis' post, you'd emphatize with the soldier a little bit. Even DHQ's post mentioned the psychological state of mind that could make a soldier make that sort of statement.

Excuse my ignorance, but if the video depicts successful ambush, why are there soldiers walking around playing to the Social Media Crowd that love to encourage them to dissert the army? They, Nigeria soldiers, seem so vulnerable out there crying and looking lost and easy to mow down by the ambushing forces. Perhaps I’ve watched too many movies in which when soldiers meet an ambush like this they are usually picked off by the force that lay the ambush. In short, where are the Bokoharam terrorists that apparently successfully set the ambush? If the Nigerian forces entered a minefield, which is what it seems like, why are they moving about so casually wailing and not moving cautiously? And aren’t minefields unfortunately part of the historic reality of the NE as in many other conflict arena, so why this reaction?
ISWAP actually released, allegedly, very gory pictures of the attack. They claimed 4 soldiers were killed in the IED explosion.

The way these northern governors are handling this issue of banditry is vexing. Bandits kill people, governor pay them a visit in a clear PR stunt to promise them heaven on earth. He leaves and bandits come back again. It's a circle that never ends.

I watched a TVC documentary the other day about banditry in Katsina State. The governor gave the bandits amnesty and even released some already arrested kidnappers back to the Fulani community. Did that stop them from continuing their booming kidnapping and cattlerusling trade?

OPERATION LAFIYA DOLE AIR TASK FORCE NEUTRALIZES SEVERAL BOKO HARAM TERRORISTS, DESTROYS THEIR FACILITIES IN MASSIVE AIR STRIKES AT ALAFA YAGAYAGA, BORNO STATE

1. Boko Haram Terrorists (BHTs) in the Sambisa Forest general area of Borno State have been set in disarray as a result of massive air strikes conducted by the Air Task Force (ATF) of Operation LAFIYA DOLE on 15 May 2020. The operation was executed based on credible intelligence reports as well as series of Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions, which showed that the terrorists had upscaled their activities in the settlement by importing additional fighters and increasing their logistics stocks preparatory to attacks on troops’ locations and surrounding civilian settlements. Consequently, the ATF dispatched an enhanced force package of attack aircraft and a surveillance platform to engage the location.

2. Overhead the target area, significant activity of the terrorists was observed in different parts of the settlement. The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) fighter jets took turns in attacking the target area, neutralizing many BHTs as well as destroying their logistics facilities and other structures in successive passes, thereby further degrading their will to fight.

3. The Armed Forces of Nigeria, operating in concert with other security agencies and stakeholders, will sustain the offensive against the enemies of our Great Nation. We shall not relent until peace and normalcy are restored not only in the North East but also in every other troubled region of our beloved Country.
