According to the recent 2018 Nigerian Appropriation Bill, Nigeria is going to pay in instalments for the three JF-Thunder. Meaning the deal was never cancelled only delayed. http://www.budgetoffice.gov.ng/index.php/2018-budget-proposal

The case of an elderly woman found guilty of killing her disabled son has provoked an outpouring of compassion from Chinese social media users. https://s1.postimg.org/4x1c9bnxqj/china_still.jpg The 83-year-old, identified only as Ms Huang, was found guilty of the manslaughter of her disabled son, Li. She fed her 46-year-old son about 60 sleeping pills on 9 May and strangled him with a silk scarf as she used cotton pads to cover his nose. Huang was found guilty of manslaughter by the People's Intermediate Court of Guangzhou and received a three-year suspended prison sentence. She said she took her son's life because she feared no one would care for him after she died. Li was born prematurely with severe mental and physical disabilities that left him unable to walk or talk. Prosecutors asked Huang why she could not have arranged for Li to have been cared for by his elder brother, but she said she was not prepared to burden him. "It was my fault to give birth to him and make him suffer. I'd rather commit murder than leave him to someone else," Huang told the court. "[F]or the past two years my own health was too poor to take care of him any more," the 83-year-old said. "I'm getting older and weaker and might die before him," she said. "The idea of killing him occurred to me a week before and I had been struggling." Head judge Wan Yunfeng said: "She deserves mercy even though she did break the law." 'Inexplicably sad' - reaction from Chinese social media The case has gone viral on the Chinese popular social media microblogging platform Weibo. One popular comment highlighted the difficulties that having a disability can have on a person and their families Yuangungun DeXueqiu said: "In this country, a mental illness or disability can make an ordinary family's lives disastrous. For such people, there is really not enough aid." The case has also reopened the debate around euthanasia in China. One Sina Weibo user said: "This happened because euthanasia has not been legalised." Some users disagreed with this statement, saying that "This has nothing to do with euthanasia, but with current social welfare issues." According to the China Disabled Persons' Federation, there are 2.7m people with disabilities in the world's most populous country. However, there are only 6,740 registered disabled care support services, which can only provide some total care for about 204,000 people with any type of disability. This means that the burden of care for disabled people in China often falls upon family members of people with disabilities. As one Weibo user put it: "The problem lies in social welfare and the [social] security system is far from perfect." Some users expressed their sorrow for the defendant. Some saw the incident as "inexplicably sad", while one commenter said they felt "drowned in sorrow". There was also empathy for her plight, with one user saying: "No-one can understand this mother's love. After all, she personally took care of him for 46 years." Source: http://bbc.in/2yowUo4 |

See wetin IPOB don cause. This is a very serious issue as parents no longer want to vaccinate their children. I just hope we don't see polio and other vaccine controlled diseases resurfacing in the nearest future. |

OjukwuWarBird:U guys need to clearly understand the nature of Nigeria military exercises. It is usually carried out in conjunction with military exercises such as Exercise Python Dance. It is targeted at the elderly, poor and the locals in the community that it takes place. They mostly setup tents where people come to visit them. The medical outreach was never targeted at school children. Soldiers never visited any school for immunization. Soldiers never escorted any groups, either medical doctors or Vaccination Agents, to any school. All this apprehension is as a result of Radio Biafra propaganda. |
chiamaka4g:Even this is fake news. They never gave anyone vaccine. |
dunkem21:It is just a tradition. BTW, how did you know it wasn't successful? Did you take part in it? |
dunkem21:It is just a free medical outreach which is always done in conjunction with every military exercise. It is optional. Mostly, they treat adults with eye problems. Diagnose and treat some minor health condition. Carryout minor surgical procedures etc. Just do a little search on Google about it. What I don't understand is why people are making a fuss about it. Guess Radio Biafra spread the rumour. |

Nigerdeltaboi:Eh, I am starting to fear some people in this thread. The reality is in this present world you can't be fully anonymous. At least I know the full name of half of this thread members, including some Southies. |
madgoat:Lol, u can try them maybe with package worth less than 3k. Make sure you come back to this thread to give ur testimony. Mention my monicker. ![]() |
Agbaletu:Some of their staffs can be lazy to do proper searching sometimes but if you keep pressing them they will. Your package may even still be in their office, perhaps at the bottom of some old sack. Their was a time one of my package was mistakenly sent to Area 10 Post Office, they gave me a call and I requested it should be transferred to Kubwa Post Office. Two days later I collected it. All in all their service has been good so far though they still need to improve on a lot of things. For instance they don't use computer in keeping track of packages, instead they use books. |
holuphisayor:I have placed several others through them and till date I have never had any reason to complain. They even call or text me when my order arrives NIPOST. So I find it strange when people complain of missing or stolen packages. Cc ejlive agbaletu madgoat spidermon

One unique thing about miracles is that "if you want it to work well you have to fake it well.
