Op u really nailed it, some customers can be very annoying. Was snapping one female Corper, forming slay queen, I snapped her five short, she kept complaining that she did not like them I should re-snap, while others were there waiting for me, I just walked out of her. After like five short you can't pick one, and others were waiting for me to snap them


That of children no get part two, my friend stop snapping children's birthday. He will just look for way to dodge the job

You can give a man 1 billion now but if he has no plans on how to spend it, it will be wasted but give a man 1 billion today, if he has plans.. he will make double if not triple in 6months or a year.
Same goes for the weekly 1m.

Numbers won't do justice to my rating of your girlfriend.
So I'd verbally describe and analyze what I see.

I really appreciate every one that gave me positive advice on what to do. The Agent came to my apartment on today 21 july, he pleaded with us that is just aware that the landlady sold the house, but we should calm down and put all the blames on him. He promise to get us a place we will relocate to within some little period and for the little period

As for the two weeks nice we should just calm down it won't be possible, he is going to discourse with her and if she persist on the two weeks he will take her to court.

I really appreciate everybody that took their time to tell me what to do. Am so grateful.

My say on this.

First, you made a mistake by not signing a tenancy agreement with the landlady. That is aside for now.

Secondly, if the receipt given to you has a fixed tenancy period stated on it, you are are covered because agreement can also be oral (parol). If you paid for a full year, you are a yearly tenant and should be given 7days of owners intention to recover possession. Mind you, you are not entitled to 6months notice because your tenancy should be tenancy for a fixed term according to Lagos state tenancy law 2011.
In view of the above, your landlady has no other option than to wait for your tenancy to elapse before quitting you unless she wants to use force which is against the law if you know your rights.
If she wants to sell her property to another person, she can do so while you are in occupation and you become the new owners burden.
To cut the whole thing short, contact a lawyer to write to her on your behalf. She should settle her issue with her estate agent.

Your landlord is trying to make you uncomfortable, even if the house was sold the new owner cannot forcefully evict the sitting tenants without court order which will require a minimum of six months.

Just tell the co tenant sent to you that you will gracefully wait for the new owner. Meanwhile try to find out what is really going on from various reliable sources.

The landlord knows that he can't evict having came in through the recognised caretaker. Find out if that caretaker have power of attorney in respect of that property.

From there you should know your stand

I have been renting accommodation since my university days. The very first property I rented....I signed a rental agreement with the agent who was acting on my landlord's behalf. Halfway through my tenancy, the landlord died...and his sons shared the property. Yet.....because I had signed a legal agreement....the son who inherited the building where I was living could not move me out....until my rent had expired (and he even came to offer me a new rental agreement....but at the time I had to move due to changed circumstances).

SInce then, I have been signing rental agreements. Even the brief time I spent outside Naija....I signed rental agreements. I am in the process of moving out of my rented flat to a new place....and I signed a prepared agreement yesterday.

Bros....no document. In fact, thank God your landlady no come call Agbero and police to come and violently evict you. Even if you go to court....na waste of time.

Next time....ask for signed agreement....prepped by a lawyer and /or legally recognized agent representing the landlord/landlady/owner of the rental. Even if you are renting from your BEST friend......do that thing...so that when wahala strikes....at least you get defence.

Sufficing that the Agent you contracted with is the one that manages the landlady's estate, then you are safe.
The principle in this case is that he who does something through another, does it himself.

The Land lady is under the obligation to hv an agent whose character is unquestionable. because sufficing the Agent has been known to have been acting on the landlady's behalf..
The customers contracting with the Agent, will be shileded by the law, should in-case the Agent does something and the landlady complains that she knows nothing about.
If a Principal (ur landlady finds out that the Agent is questionable, she is to put the public on notice, because even after sacking the Agent without notifying the public, anyone who enters into an agreement with the Agent, believing that he is entering into a contract with the landlady will be protected by the law.


in this case, the Agent is still working for her principal... so you are covered.. get a lawyer for cover.

My caretaker told the landlord that I paid part of my rent and he is pleading on my behalf that I will pay the rest *while it's all lies*..,
The landlord came for normal inspection and fortunately, I m home. We've never met before, I spoke/relate freely with him like somebody who is not begging for mercy.
He then told me what the caretaker said about the money issue I laughed and refer him back to his dubious caretaker who has even increase the rent without him knowing.
In a nutshell we became friends and now chat on whatsapp.

Back to the topic, if OP knows that the information getting from the neighbours is true, then go and confront the landlady directly.

I got this new apartment in April, through a caretaker/agent, we did all necessary discussion though no any written agreement. I paid him both the rend and commission and he gave me my receipt, I move into the apartment in June. I got home last night and got information that my landlady said he has sold the house out that they need to start working on the house before August rain. So we should start preparing on how to move out.

After my findings from the person that passed the information to me I discover that she is having money issues with the caretaker because my neighbour told me that she claim not to know that they are new tenants in the house, she heard it from people that they are new tenants in the apartment which she is not aware of so i just concluded that for her not to be aware the money has not be giving to her by her caretaker.

Now, the information reaching me is that the caretaker claim he want to balance the people that pack out of the house. He said their rent did not expire before they move out.

I told my neighbour that she sent to us(me and the other guy), if she is having issues with her caretaker they should resolve it within themselves for me I no dey pack
I need your advice on what to do

I just pack in not up to three weeks now,when I entered my apartment this evening my neighbour called me that the landlady said she has sold the house and the contractors need to come and start work before the rain get serious by August. I told him that house that paid in April and pack in June ending and u are asking me to pack out in july
When I did my findings I discover that she is having money issues with the caretaker. From information gather the caretaker is claiming he used the money to settle those that packed out of the house before their rent expires

Still thinking on what to tell her when I meet her by weekend.

During my service, I only went with 2 white shirts, 2 shorts, a wrapper, toothbrush, towel, and a Sunday wear I also used during my exit day from camp. And lastly with less than 15k

Note: I knew I'd become a platoon leader which will reduce my expenses. So be sure of yourself before you can do likewise.

Surprising thing was how I left camp of 3weeks with over 40k.
Bross if you become president eh go bahd oh,how did you get the 40khuh I believe is from the money your platoon members contributed.

When the contestant for Mr macho bought new suit with our money because he was the platoon leader....in fact his friends had to called him on phone not to come into the camp because guys were waiting for him. Our Mr macho kindly went and hire suit at affordable price.
