doctokwus: Can anything shock us about a govt that hid NLNG taxes running into billions of dollars from other tiers of govt;that denied abduction of Chibok girls, that never even knew other school boys, girls, women and men were abducted; that played politics with the fight against insurgency;under whose watch more than $20b if not up to $50b went into private pockets? The only thing that would shock me about the GEJ govt is if it it turns out the above mentioned revelations are the only ones that he oversaw under his utter maladministration. The man was incompetent, corrupt, mischievous, petty, tribal and possibly devilish in the way he handled Nigeria and nothing can be more shocking than that. dis were same tin u guys were saying when Gej was on power now u Apc ve successfully taken power from him nd still yet u re still talking of the past when u guys re already in power. why is Apshit nd it followers not tired of lying nd get serious for once |
Crime › Human Eaters In Lagos Stripped Naked By Angry Mob; Almost Set Ablaze by Xfemt(op): 6:26pm On Jul 11, 2015 |
Yesterday angry crowd of people striped naked two men, who were accused of eating human flesh after beating them and almost setting them ablaze. The Police however intervened and took them away. Here’s how PM News is reporting: Earlier, a passer-by along the rail line in Ikeja saw three men in tattered dresses. One of them was making a call and one eating a meat suspected to be human flesh. The passer-by raised an alarm that attracted the mob which instantly pounced on the two suspect human part eaters. But the one making the phone call managed to escape. Their problem was compounded when the mob moved to their hideout behind the Ikeja Local Government Secretariat fence and found a cutlass, knife, charms and meat with fat which the mob suspected to be human flesh

Romance › Re: Fear I Will Never Get Married :/ by Xfemt(m): 8:44pm On Jun 26, 2015 |
Arami92: So Nairalanders! i Need advice oo!
I'm Nigerian, but i'm very Americanized..(came to America when i was small).
People tell me i'm a very pretty girl, and most of my friends say it won't be hard for me to get married...BUT i can't seem to get a boyfriend talk-less of marriage. At 23 i've never even had a serious boyfriend and i don't know why. i'm starting to wonder if there is something seriously wrong with me that i cannot see.
Here are the things i think may be the problem (based on my opinion and what others have told me):
a) I'm not always super approachable. i'm not mean at all but i don't go out of my way to be talking to everybody. But i always dress well, i smile and act friendly and i'm not mean to people. But my friends still say because guys may be intimidated when they see a pretty girl who has a stuck up appearance they won't approach her. I have pride but it's not arrogance.
b) I'm still a virgin. I get scared when it comes to sexual things because my biggest fear is to lose my virginity with a man that will only leave me or doesn't truly love me. So when i'm dating a guy and he tries to make things sexual i always cut that very short!. My friends say this may be a turnoff to guys because you have to tease them and give them something to hang on to because men are very sexual. (Like i won't even kiss you until i really like you.) BUT my father raised me to never be ashewo! So i try to keep myself as pure as possible for the right person, so sometimes that gets in the way of the natural flow of things.
c) I'm stubborn o! Like sometimes i like to form *Hard-to-get* I was always told as a woman you should never be too easy for a man, that you should let him chase you. And this is usually what i do. And i also don't always show my emotions. Like if i'm starting to really like a guy i'm very scared to express it. I always hold back unless he professes his love for me first. I feel like if you show too much emotion too soon you can scare men away so i let him lead on how much emotion to show.
d) lastly I only like to date Nigerian guys. But i live in a city where there are very few of us. My friends say when i move to a city with more Nigerians the suitors will be rolling in but idk. I still cant help but feel like maybe something is wrong with me.
Words of advice will be appreciated<3 plz follow me back let talk or call me 08065500452 |

TV/Movies › Re: Workers Shut Down AIT, Raypower Over 17 Months Unpaid Salaries by Xfemt(m): 10:20pm On Jun 04, 2015 |
metronaija: Scores of workers of Daar Communications Plc, operator of African Independent Television (AIT) and Raypower FM Radio, on Wednesday shut down all broadcasting activities at the Benin studio in protest over unpaid salaries.
The protesting workers were said to have blocked the main entrance to the station located along the Benin/Lagos bypass.
A detachment of anti-riot policemen were however called by the management of the station to forestall any break down of law.
It was gathered that the protesting workers put at 50 of AIT and Ray Power, were owed salaries salaries spanning between 12 and 17 months.
One of the protesting workers who did not want his name in print for personal reasons, said newly employed staff of AIT were being owed 12 months while old staff were yet to be paid salaries between 13 months and staff of the Raypower FM, the Radio arm of the broadcast outfit were owed 17 months.
“The stations generate millions of naira on a daily basis, so there is no reason why we should not be paid our salaries. They have no excuse not to pay us our money. It is share wickedness and man’s inhumanity to his fellow man. We have families to care for and children to pay their school fees. Many of our children have stopped going to school. But their own attend schools abroad.
“Look at where our station is located, in another village so far away from Benin City. You have to chatter a taxi carb for not less than N500.00 to get there if you miss the staff bus. And not even every cab driver will agree to go there because of the wrong location of the station, yet, they expect us to be there everyday, whether you have anything to do or not,” the source told
Chairman of the organization, Raymond Dokpesi (Jnr) was said to have spoken to the protesters on phone. He allegedly appealed for calm, assuring them that the management will within one week do everything possible to pay parts of the salary arrears.
He however allegedly threatened to pay-off any of the staff that decided to resign from the establishment.
