You can follow Wode Maya as well to gain some business, investment and travel ideas, and also search for his China vids on YT or via
Google.

Hong Kong folks are a lot more tolerant because of the British experience and their international business outlook.

China does not control the key institutions - IMF & Worldbank- to be an economic hegemon.

The American and the Europeans are in charge of these key global institutions. They can afford to breathe down your neck and tell you the policy changes you need to make before they grant you a loan. In some instances they even force political changes... remember Greece and PM Tsipras?

I think you missed the point. China is not interested in hegemony. Their policies have always been one of harmonious coexistence.

They have made technology so cheap that poor countries could afford to industrialize. You can setup a mini sachet -tomato plant in your backyard all thanks to Chinese technology.

The basket does not have all the goods and services in the country and some of the composite items like energy-related costs, school needs etc maybe temporary price increases
