I would think government policies aimed at improving agriculture, preservation of perishable products would create employment. |

Yamiriflathead:
Although disappointing Tinubu tried to hold Lagos with the figures he pulled so far. Lagos is the Capital of Southern Nigeria, so what were you expecting? This was a fight between ibos+SS+woke yorubas against Tinubu supporters in Lagos who are mainly yorubas and maybe Hausas in Lagos.
I hope Tinubu and yorubas have learnt a bitter lesson from Lagos Elections not to befriend and feed a cub because it is homeless, hopeless, and dying. It will grow up and eat u up someday.
I'm happy yorubas can now sit down and ask qtns as to how they got everything wrong and redress it with BAT as President.
The take home from this defeat is..
Yorubas need to stop drafting non yorubas into the civil service and stop giving them prominent appointments. There are always technocrats who can always fit into any political office from the SW
Yorubas need to stop selling their lands to non yorubas in Lagos and SW
Yorubas need to stop giving out local government of origins to non yorubas in Lagos
Yorubas need to stop allowing non-yorubas contest for Elections in Lagos or SW
Yorubas need limit the numbers of voters registration of non yorubas going on in Lagos, they care so much about Lagos and don't care if their homes rot, Henceforth let them go home and vote. They can't come and dictate to you on how to govern urselves after creating an enabling environment for them to thrive.
Contain them politically, Period!
Congratulations to the incoming President of Nigeria BAT the ASIWAJU of Lagos for winning the most Free and fair Elections since our Nascent Democracy nothwitstanding Zip it! Lagos is for all law abiding Nigerians the same goes for all other states in Nigeria. A better Nigeria is all every right thinking Nigerian wants. A Nigeria that works for everyone irrespective of tribe, religion and political affiliation. |

Starboytwo: How many people are in bene republic again?
If Nigeria was just like eg Ebonyi, small, maybe 5 million people, it will be very easy to govern.
Don’t be comparing 5million people to 250 million people. Over 300 ethnic groups. Over 500 languages. Oboy, incomparable. Nonsense point of argument. China has 1.4 billion people yet it is a hundred times more developed than Nigeria. Nigeria has more natural resources than Benin Republic. For goodness sake Nigeria is one of the world’s top producers of crude oil! Stop making excuses for the failure that Nigeria has become because of bad governance/ leadership. |

SKIBiNSKI: I agree with your comment up till your questions.. China are not obligated to show evidence and America has not disputed China's claims that the US spies on them, that is an evidence maybe not much evidence you may seek but it is. and again why should China mention that the US spied on them when the US did? They are not obligated to do so. Perharps China didn't see any need to mention it then and China didn't perhaps also saw it as a threat as the US sees it. And it wouldn't have made any difference if China mentioned it then or mentioned it now. The US spied on China period. There you have your answers, atleast the ones i could come up with.
I would like to read your own answers to your own questions. Assuming you must have had an answer to counter anyone else's before you asked. I applaud the decorum you showed in your response. One bottle of Hennessy for you! If there’s one factor that can unite agitated Chinese people who have suffered or are suffering economic losses, property devaluations, effects of Covid lockdowns…it is something I call ‘the factor of a common enemy’. Japan and America are considered by most Chinese as sworn enemies of China. For instance during the first wave of Covid in 2019 / 2020, the Chinese government seeing its citizens were demanding for answers about the virus blamed America for the virus - a strategy that momentarily united the nation, and calmed fraying nerves. Interestingly, when Covid cases spiked, foreigners were blamed for importing the virus into China- a strategy that led to a number of foreigners in Guangzhou, Foshan, Nanhai…, being given quit notice by their landlord. Whenever America naval ships sail in the South China Sea, or venture through the Taiwan Straits, their every move is big news on TV, radio, WeChat, Weibo, Kuaishou and on every newspaper most notably ChinaDaily - a newspaper I enjoy reading for its in-depth analysis of Chinese and global news. A few days ago, a Chinese coast guard ship shone military-grade laser beams on a Filipino coast guard ship in disputed waters temporarily blinding its crew. The incident made headlines with photos of the encounter splattered on all social media platforms. Nancy Pelosi’s infamous trip to the disputed island of Taiwan made a lot of buzz so much so that her flight path was watched live on WeChat! News of Japan increasing its military budget made headlines, and was discussed online for days. Last Year December when a Chinese fighter jet intercepted a US reconnaissance aircraft over the South China Sea, the news made headlines. Reporting such news serve to unify China against perceived enemies; project its military might and build patriotism for the Motherland amongst Chinese people. So, the onus is on China to prove that American spy balloons indeed entered its territory because failing to do so is utterly antithetical to China’s modus operandi. |

omonnakoda: You said I sound like I live in China What does that mean? Considering that I am typing not speaking, how do Chinese residents sound? Again this business of shooting down is assumption Speculative Do you know the meaning of the word? The claim is either true or false Proven or unproven. Without knowledge of What their strategy is it presumptive to expect them to show you photos I really don't want to be rude but your brain capacity is low You are not very bright and are wasting my time Speculative : Not based on fact or investigation. If the Chinese indeed spotted American spy balloons in its airspace, they’d be photos of such objects on all Chinese TV channels, and social media platforms. Why aren’t there any photos? Why weren’t those sightings mentioned before now? America spying on China is well documented by the Chinese the same way China spying on America is well documented by the Americans. So as it stands the onus is on China to show evidences of the American spy balloons that encroached its airspace. |

omonnakoda: why would it make news That is an assumption assumption assumption The same China that tried to hide COVID? All societies do not operate the way you assume Some suppress information Where did anyone mention shooting down? You assume too much Just like you assume I live in China Governments can choose to classify information without explanation You reason by assumption and engaging with that will be too tedious and wasteful of my time I asked if you lived in China; it was question. Did you miss the question mark? The Chinese would not spot American spy balloons without shooting them down. Merely spotting the balloons would make the news. What happened to he said balloons after they were spotted? Waved Goodbye? The fact the Chinese didn’t show photos of the balloons make their claim speculative. |

So when you say make THE NEWS You already lost it to US disinformation What is THE NEWS? Who controls THE NEWS There has been blackout news on Yemen,Palestine and other things that they don't want you to hear. Why is Yemen removed from THE NEWS
If you didn't know before you must see it in how the Ukraine war is reported The US is not holy. Honestly you sound naive China has no need to report it or come out because they are both doing it It is not just balloons, hacking IT systems ,biological weapons ,printing each other's currency and a lot more is happening They are all doing it What do you imagine is the work of the CIA
Where were you when it emerged the US was listening to Angla Merkels phone calls You sound like you live in China, do you? If you live in China, you’d have known if American spy balloons were detected and shot down, the incidents would make the news in China - on TV, radio, and on the Internet through WeChat, Weibo, Baidu… |
