Phones / Re: Subscriber Options for UNLIMITED Internet - WORTH IT? by Xionez(m): 4:09pm On Oct 22, 2019
So a marketer for Smile Network came to market their network to me.
Seriously, how do these people do it. Its obvious their data plans are currently not worth it. Yet they still push their plans like it is best thing since sliced bread and jam.

The 1GB I did for N1000 was a regret. The speed was nothing special. I get more on Airtel...sometimes up to 1.8MBps (Megabyte not megbit per second) on a hot busy afternoon.

I offered to do a speed test which she codedly declined. Lol, inside life.

Will be managing my Airtel. Not unlimited but very much worth it IMO.

Lolz. Reminds me of the time I resubscribed, expecting my normal extra data...only to be greeted with shinkini data like that. This meme expressed my reaction accurately...

About the new iPadOS 13, Apple claims to have reworked the Files app to be a more robust app.
I've seen so called "extensive" youtube reviews on the Files app on iPadOS 13, and all of them don't even delve into what matters the most...can one really move files to a particular app folder so that the app itself actually reads from it (or write in some cases)?!.

Yes, Files app can open zip files and all that. But what is the essence when a third party app cannot have read/write access to it.
No Youtube blogger seem to address this question.

A use-case scenario can be using the Files app to move a video from external storage drive to VLC media player folder so that it shows up on VLC media default playlist.
Another is copying a PDF from the external drive to a book app and the said PDF showing up on the Bookshelf of the third party app ready to use anyday anytime.

Could you check if this is possible or not?

I'm currently hunting for a tablet to store and easily access my growing cache of books and novels, and no Android tab seems to fit the job description of price, features, battery usage, standby time and most importantly developer or manufacturer support.

My interest in Apple was rekindled with the possiblity of manipulating files natively on the iPad Pro after exporting from a Lightening flashdrive. No need of docking to a laptop. Lask of this was the major reason why I dumped my iPad Air and pick up Huawei Mediatab. Its been a boring since then as I get no updates, features compared to iOS.

Actually it is the Chinese version that got stable, the Indian Version is still beta.

Also you can't download it via OTA, you have to download the ROM and install manually

After looking at things critically, I guess nothing is lost much between Note 8 and Note 7.
The major points is the camera upgrade, the increase in RAM & ROM for the price and the CPU upgrade.

The GPU is the only let down. The Adreno 610 isn't bad at all but the Adreno 512 holds its ground. And thats going by the Samsung A70 reviews on GSMArena which coincidentally which compared that of the Note 7 GPU with Samsung A70.

I like the fact that Xiaomi produced an upgrade for a lesser price...even with better specs to boot.
This cannot be said for some other Chinese phone companies...if you know what I'm saying.

Xiomi M1 A2(4gb,64gb)== battery=3000 capacity and Xiomi redmi 7(3gb,32gb)= 4000 capacity. Which one is better, please help I want to place order this Saturday

Personally, I would be going for one with the largest number of ROM support on XDA developers between the two options. That, for me, is a sure fire way solving possible problems in the future...if they ever come up.
Thus, I would be going for the Xiaomi M1A1

So today, I just found out that the Note 7 can play music through the USB-C port. Just listened using the Type-C earpiece from my friend's recently purchased Samsung A80 and the sound was clean and clear.

So many possiblities to explore on the Note 7.
I wish I would stumble upon a way to use custom fonts because the Theme store offerings are not up to my taste.

i have enough data, i can use my browser to access the internet bt all other separate Apps (u-tube, play store etc) cant access the internet.
What could be the issue pls?
Note: I hv turn on (mobile data on each) many App so it can access bt no way.

Also, i cant access my stored files and downloads if i want to make use of them, any help out there?

Check the app permissions for the affected apps. The data may have been limited to Wifi only or to a particular non data SIM (assuming you use dual SIMs)

Finally it's been a long time coming

Normal things.
Google doesn't have a straight forward roadmap. One minute they are championing an app or future roadmap, the next minute it is being shutdown and consequently merged with another upcoming app or being kicked out the door.
They can change things at any time, any day

The last time I was hopeful was when they announced Project Treble. Since then, I began to appreciate the efforts of developers as they actually make the best use of features that are dropped in the bin.

This is gonna be fun.
Transsion are famous for selling phones with outdated SoCs for outrageous prices (like the Infinix Hot 7 Pro).
August 28 marks the day that we would decide if they are actually fooling Nigerians into paying huge cash for recycled specs.

Mediatek GT90 is a brand new processor. If Xiaomi can sell the Redmi Note 8 with a spanking new SoC for a lesser price than a Transsion phone with similar specs but having an outdated SoC, then it will be a real eye opener.

It will put an end to endless arguements. A defining moment in Transsions future. Very sure breaths are held especially as Xiaomi is holding the price for each unit close to their chest.

August 28th and 29th will be very very interesting.

Who has hybrid sim adapter for sale? I need one, hope it works for redmi note 7 pro

Yes o. I've tried it on my Note 7 and my sis Note 7 Pro and both worked. It requires a bit of patience but the reward is greater. Flexing 64GB fast memory and 2 active SIM cards. It's like shading both A and B and C in a question paper and getting your full marks!!

I don't think so bro.

If you are eligible for double data, you'll be eligible for triple data.

If you sent GET to 141, also send MIFI to 141. It will work.
