Congratulation and there should be no any presure for collecting your money; if you have opted for the cheque payment, your cheque should by now be on the way to your address for collection by a special post. Please be expecting it from your address which you have on your account for collection.
Afetr receiving your cheque you will need to deposit it in your bank and valla! money will follow.
But do you have a dom account?, if you don't please get it ready before it arrive. Though it is not mandatory to deposit it in dom account but it has more advantage.
It may take about two weeks at latest, from the time of issuance.

Me I no dey sell anything again on Godaddy until I see PayPal option. I have some money trapped there just because I selected check. You must accumulate up to $1100 before they will issue any check. Na wetin dem tell me

I sold a domain thru auction at godaddy one time like dt and I did nothing. once d domain is sold GoDaddy will send d domain to the buyer if he also has a GoDaddy account but if he does not have, they have a way to making sure he gets d domain. I don't think u have any prob. d only prob is getting ur money. if u sell it less than $100 u can get d cash u must sell it all least $120 to be able to receive payment by check.

Observation: I doubt selling name on Godaddy auction while your name is on namecheap.com.
But however, there are two scenarios for transfer of domain names.

1) There is no problem about this issue, the buyer must have made the payment to godaddy by now and the transfer or pushing would have also been done by godaddy and the money will be transfer to you as soon as the domain is received by the new owner. And thank God now that you can receive the money in dollar in your domicilliary account and collect it in dollars as at yesterday new order from CBN.

2) If your domain was registered on namecheap.com the transfer procedure is that: you will need to send the authorise code to the new owner and the buyer will initiate the transfer from his own interested registrar and a mail will be sent to you for your consent and the buyer will receive the domain within 5 days after payment for renewal and anyway, you must have collected your money before anything else.

is d domain registered with godaddy or namecheap, if its with namecheap cos dt I what I am guessing from ur comment I guess u can Contact their customers care service cos I know dt if its godaddy, the domain will be transfered directly if the person is using godaddy

You registered this type of domain in just October 08, 2015 and you are now saying you are tired of it. Well if you like just let it drop and you will see who will take it up.
Though there is no plural form of banking, however you can still sell it as a premium domain.
Try to rank your blog with banking keywords contents on google and market it.
