I've sure I've never had to call you names or insult you, the fact that we think you can earn more than the stipends you earn doesn't make us foolish. Now you call me stupid? I'll won't bother calling you names, you need to just grow up |

maczig: I really do not understand what u guys are trying to say here. So why can't the shaft pull or is the car damage proof? Dont you know the state of our roads and style of driving. A car that is being driven on these very bad roads at least 10hours/7 days a week will definitely develop one problem or the other and shaft is not exempted. Why do you people believe so much in tokunbos like this. A car that is over 14yrs old on the road before landing in Nigeria.
Dru23 you also mentioned that ur civic was driven on this same roads we ply everyday for two good years without any leg issue not even minor. So you want to tell us that during those times the civic was driven on these Lagos roads that no linkage, absorber pad, bushings, low arm or even brake pad sef wasn't replaced in the vehicle? Not for a vehicle of 7 months old(almost brand new) , forget naija roads, a Toyota made in 2018 just 7 months old would not have a shaft issue in 7 months. |

jesusson2020: this job is not executive job, is not job that we suppose to see graduate doing, but our economy situation is bad, many site engineers, (pope191, Xneg) 300million naira oil And gas sector are relegated to.
So for people like me going home with minimum of 3k every day is enough, afterall my boss go home with 5k every day and when repair come, I call him to bring back that 5k.
If the job gives you mental quit so u won't fall into depression like formal ABA business man Gentlelife50. But jesusson or whatever you call yourself, is this fair? So you used your partbers vehicle anyhow since you can always ask him to fix the vehicle else you jump to the other. |

Do you want to be a driver forever? You don't plan to have your own vehicle? What sort of jesusosn mentality is this? Do you also have a bricklayer history? |

I wont post my earnings because the haters will come after me. I currently drive a Corolla 2006 30k delivery. My issue with my current partner is his attitude(rude abusive and negligence to repairs)I have NEVER defaulted his payment... A driver pays 35k and still handles repairs? 15 pages and your vehicle is still not sold, look price is very important when it comes to selling a vehicle , you need to think beyond nairaland, think of those big men that will just search randomly online and see a vehicle, believe me, it's very difficult to make that call to ask for price, people will rather call for negotiation and not for price, my former boss bought a surprise venza for his wife completely on nairaland, he's not a member, it only came up as a search online, he was impressed with it and ask us to inspect and he made a transfer and that's it. You can never find an online dealer in UK or USA ask you to call first before you know price. Try and emulate them bruv. |

mrsage: Surge happens when you have more riders than drivers in any location.
With the increase in the number of drivers surge has now become history.
Some new drivers can only read about it in textbooks.
Then again I don't completely trust those Ehailing operators. But what do I know... Lol... I don't trust the operators too, there should be surge sometimes irrespective of number of drivers, Monday morning, after 1am, heavy rain etc then we destination specific surge/pricing. |

tunlapapa: This one also caught my attention. Gone at those days that you see red apple in the morning till like 12pm on Monday, Tue and Wednesday, steadily at lekki 2. Gone are the the days I would have made 10k before 12 pm. Gone are the days that surge is always constant during closing hours at V.I. Those days that there was always surge at ikoyi from 8pm. Gone are the days that red apple would grow all over Lagos on Saturdays. What those saying Uber( E-hailing) still pays are the ones that didn't see those days. But seriously what went wrong? Is uber /taxify trying to enslave us? Ok we agree they reduced fares in order to get more riders, what happened to surge on Mondays and evenings? The strike is inevitable. |

pope191: I already gave up on this matter, but dia is need for clarification, points r not being tackle, all we get is where I am coming from and where I am, how about where u r going 2? Complete mute over dat. You make 10k gross per day and soh? What's the point of displaying net/gross when cost and energy can't b determine and you said its all about encourage, that ain't encouraging, but a way to make ppl see no sense in that small voice in their head.
NNPC, Civil servant push for better living and regulatory of their welfare, but anytime anyone tries to plant this seed, some one crawl from nowhere & be like kill it, its unnecessary, while uber/both keep changing policies as if the people deh are dealing with are less of human, dough! I don't blame dem, cos I am not part of dia member or accurately know what its takes to run the company, but a bit of sensitivity won't hurt.
About leaving the platform if you feel you can't meet up with change in flux... I think that is the most insensitive thing I've ever heard. We are quick to forget this work cares for you as much as your last day, no bonus, no entitlement, no pension, no experience, if you like spend 5 years on it, if you have no reasonable exit plan, you are back to zero... So for a work that takes all you time, degrade you in term of societal value and if care is not taking, your children will call you uncle, I think one deserves a beta reward when its all said and done
Note: I drive my car and only work when d spirit leads, but it burns when I see drivers on rental go through all dis #HeartFlow #LifeShouldntBeThisHard You have indeed said it all. Jesusson please read and digest, I also did same. |

jesusson2020: See mumu, the 10k I earn is after Uber commission. Uber only post ur earning, they don't post your earnings with Uber commission.
Rent:5k Fuel:1500.... I didn't drive fully. I spend 3k fuel If I drive fully. Card:100 for that particular day. Food 600 twice eating My take home 3700
3x7=21k... I make more.
Fridays to Sunday I make it double and even more. Going by your calculations, you used 1500 fuel to make about 13000 adding ubers commission. Your hybrid prius must be a brand new one |

QuitNotice: Your experience is inconsequential in the midst of those that followed the train from the boom days to date. I made up my mind never to quote you, but since you decided to quote me, I will speak. You once posted a dashboard revealing about 10k gross for that day, singing praises to Uber. Now, your dashboard never revealed to newbies that at least - 5k was for car owner (35k weekly rental) - 2.5k was for Uber (commission) - 2.5k was for fuel - let's forget card, sub, data, law enforcement guys, food, etc. How come you make 3k daily? How come you make 20k weekly, when 3k X 6 days = 18k? Even if you make more than that, you can see the money is going to be spent on expenses. Are you advising or deceiving newbies? You claim we attack your claims, yes. You can't deceive newbies, and we sit and watch. You are an ex labourer, so Uber is sweet in your mouth. I believe your advice should be for your former labourer colleagues; not for the public. There are bankers who follow this thread, considering leaving their jobs for Uber. Some of them net in multiples of your 3k daily. I apalling and ludicrous that same you came here one day, claiming Uber work is better than working in a bank! Some are not in the banking sector, but are doing better than an average Uber driver. The way you are going, in 1-2 months' time, shame go de catch you to comment here. You've said it all and I think afterwards no one should pay attention to my labourer. |
