Everyone has his or her own opinion. To an aethist, believing in God is not truth, to a Moslem the resurrection of Jesus is not truth. Now back to we who profess Christianity. One person says tithing is allowed another say tithing is not allowed. To the 2 individuals their own view is the truth.

NOTE: None or 1 might be Gods own truth.

The Problem here is that, using the Do not judge tactics does not give room for a healthy discussion from the scripture concerning what is the truth according to God. The issue is that correction is now being termed judgement. So, no one now has the right to criticize the actions of anyone anymore in Iine with his own truth. If the criticism is in line with our dogma we hail, if not, we say DO NOT JUDGE!!

MY OPINION!!!

It is quite unfortunate that a case of murder would now be classified as being "trigger happy"
There are only 3 classification of issues like this that I know of
Self defence, man slaughter, and murder.
Where policemen shoot at peaceful protesters I think it is murder. Cos he is aware that he is holding a lethal weapon. He knows that shooting a person would kill that person. He knew all the way , yet he fired. I personally have no other name to call it. MURDER!!!!

He should gave gotten the maximum sentence!!

When john the Baptist confronted herod, was he judging him?
When Paul confronted Peter openly for trying to please the Jews was he judging him?

I'm sick and tired of these people

When you go to the U.K, you must hear them shouting and cursing loudly on the streets in Yoruba

You come to Queens and Brooklyn, you must see them fighting on the streets

Just last week, i was in at the mall and 2 women were also causing havoc there

They are louder than African Americans

Wrong in my opinion. What happens is that you hear stories of the insignificant few fights involving Nigerians because you are Nigerian. If someone reports the thousands of fights by African Americans or whites it would not be news (interesting)to you. That you do not hear of other people fight does not mean that they do not. Go to you tube, to a neutral search ( women fight on the street) then come back and tell us how many are Nigerians.

I don't buy your logic . There's principles in the law and old testaments that are still applicable in the new because they are kingdom principles. That's why you can't do away with fasting ,praying,worship ,offerings and tithing. Alms giving and honour for father and mother. The things that are longer aplicable are things that Christ fulfilled

read the verses she quoted. Then speak from there.
Fasting , was restated with directions ( don't look sad and dirty because you are fasting, clean up and shine up)
Prayer was restated with direction( avoid vain repetition, pray through Jesus the Christ, pray not for show, make it between you and your God)
Worship, was restated with direction ( jesus the high priest, decently and in order, in spirit and in truth, apostolic examples)

But tithing............. Nothing ( our giving today is only free will giving as stated in 2cor. 9:7, 1cor 16:1-2) no compulsion... The difference is that offering is free will while tithe is compulsory. It is just like tax if you evade you would be punished.

Why not use the money they are using to look for oil in the desert for agriculture or something meaningful, then we have other source of income, we can start looking for more oil in irrelevant places?

If economy is well diversified, southern oil will rest.
America is the biggest oil producing nation with over 10million barrels of oil a day, if they stop production today, it won't affect their economy 1bit.


Think now. if oil is the only means of generating income, we are left at the mercy of oil prices.
If we have other source of income, even if naija delta say no more oil, Nigeria won't crumble.

By the way, no amount of oil found in the north can ever come close to 10% of what is been drilled in the South.. Why not let everyone have unique thing to brag about for the over all instead of the country instead of oyel oyel.

Do not say the oil in the north cannot be up to what is in the south, because you are not the one who put the oil there in the ground.

Secondly, hardly would you see any government involved in exploration or prospecting for oil they give exploration and prospecting licenses to corporations. And it is done In the name of the government.
Talking about everyone having their own resource is not like oil, agriculture is everywhere and hardly does any nation envy another for cash or food crop. But oil is a different ball game. Our unity and disunity hangs on oil. Iraq, Lybia, Kuwait, Syria(Isis), all this countries' wars was as a result of oil. In the world today the general notion is "He who controls oil, rules the world" no nation would say "you have oil,I have palmoil so what's the difference". It is an issue of power(money power) I am from the south south and I say to you the north and the oyinbos would kill for our oil. Even tribes within the south south would kill themselves for oil money.

Qatar, UAE, lybia, Iraq etc are oil producers. Yet they are renowned oil producers. There is more oil in the deserts.

That been said, we need oil money to diversify. Another thing that at least there is a chance that the southern oil would be left for the southern people through resource control

Sergio Ramos is known for his die hard nature. With his never say die attitude which has made him notorious for unnecessary fouls leading to high rate of red cards. He is termed as being stubborn, heady and ruthless.

In order words the manager's job is to ensure that you do your job hence he must take the glory while you get the recognition whether openly or In secret. There are so many things management see and do that junior staff don't until it materializes.

I must confess I am so impressed with the quick response of Mr Seun. This is the kind of customer relationship that build businesses. This kind of response to users is worth emulating. I have noticed over the years that nairaland has not changed must. There has been nothing new when it comes to user interface and experience. I am opening this thread to get feedback to the mods and developers on the need to add some more features.

Please add an UNLIKE button just like YouTube. This platform has not evolve for years now it has always been the same old way please add some fun.

Let's get some other suggestions hopefully the developers would listen.

Although am not happy about it. However we must understand things from their angle. If an actor should say " Mohammed is a pedophile" or "Jesus was gay" some stupid religious fanatics would carry placards and begin to riot and Moslems would begin their suicide bombings as if those words really changes anything. I believe they do this in order to prevent issues from extremists. For me it is all rubbish. Just today, a governor (christian) in Jakarta(mainly Muslim) was arraigned in court for blasphemy against Mohammed. And he might be sent to jail for just saying that the word of the prophet is irrelevant to politics and that people should not allow his opposition to use the Koran as a basis to stop them from voting for him. Religion should not be used as a basis for circular collective living, it should be an individual affairs.
