This story does not say anything. How are they sure that they are kidnappers? All this yeye type of journalism. You show pictures, no iwitness interviews from both accusers and the accused, just picture and knowing Nigerian nature of irrational stupidity to believe the first to report they will all believe that they are kidnappers.
Note ...not saying they are not, but what if they are not. Just do good fact finding so that rational people would be able to come to a sensible conclusion. |

macof: The mecca claim was invented by Muslims in Oyo, It's not a yoruba thing. The coming from heaven is a myth of creation not historical...this oduduwa is an Ebora (spirit) sometimes personified as a woman
but we are talking about the oduduwa who was a king not a spirit ife traditions which include coronation rites, shrine sites, popular sayings among others points to Oke-Ora as oduduwa's origin Infact an Ife historian - Eluyemi claims "Atewonro"( descending on a chain) is reference to Oduduwa descending from Ora hill... not from heaven So ora hill is where he was manufactured? Except you want to tell me he is no human. Google "oduduwa Bini version" then compare with the Yoruba version then apply common sense. Then choose which one to believe. |

Brainiacmrtolz: If you need to rebuke please write letters just as apostle Paul always did, even Samuel protected the dignity Saul in public, when he failed to killed all man and animal in the and as God instructed because Samuel knew that judgement is of God only. Nathan never publicised his rebuke unto David for for the world to hear.
If you know the rate at which social media and print media of this generation has driven people from God you wouldn't want to go online and start condemning ministers of God, because there are some people who gave their life to Christ because of them.
It destroys them, their works and all they stand for Christians even go to extent of printing out articles just to destroy ministries they don't like and claim God revealed unto them to do so. In the Islamic world, if you speak against their religion or leaders, it's called blasphemy and you can get killed for it. Not because they believe that they are perfect but they protect their own.
But in the Christian world it is a normal thing. We get attacked and killed all the time. Even christians against each other and the unbelievers ridicules and rejoice about it.
Now if you declare to the world that certain ministers of God are bad all the time how perfectly can you can prove to unbelievers(who has their own believes and religions) the authenticity of your religion.
My point is it takes a lot of courage and sacrifice to put yourself out there to preach the gospel of God. So if you must rebuke or protest against against a minister of God. Don't go cowardly online and condemn him or her. Write a letter or personally approach him or her and give your counsel. My brother , I get your honest concerns and sentiments Do you know if they have been approached personally? No. The bone of contention here is your hypocritical support for people who do things that are not inline with the scriptures because they claim to be ministers of God. Who made them ministers? Are they ministers by their word or by the word of God. Well the issue is not who is and who is not a ministers. I would continue to say I am not a Christian who window dresses and try to make believe. That is pretence. The social media is for everyone. Using the social media is not only for the so called minister but also for those who may be deceived by the false teaching of a self acclaimed minister. And peradventure the minister would also have the time to read this and ponder on it then we might be able to have a honest discussion. My point is ....you don't compare Christianity with any other religion cos as far as I know salvation is only through Christ. The beauty of Christianity is this we all are meant to test all things by the word of God and hold unto that which is good. We must defend the word of God by the word of God anywhere, anytime. If we make this our culture the better for the faith we hold. Let's leave this topic ....whatsapp..08185062942( introduce yourself as "brother with the brain" ) |

damosky12: Acts 10:46 For they heard them talking in [UNKNOWN] TONGUES (languages) and extolling and magnifying God. Then Peter asked, AMPLIFIED BIBLE Acts 19:6 And as Paul laid his hands upon them, the Holy Spirit came on them; and they spoke in [foreign, unknown] tongues (languages) and prophesied. AMPLIFIED BIBLE They clearly spoke in the same unknown tongue is that which Paul talked about in 1 Corinthians :
14:2 For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh NOT UNTO MEN, BUT UNTO GOD: for NO MAN UNDERSTANDETH HIM; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. "No man understands him". That is why it is called UNKNOWN.
What on earth are you talking about? It will do you a lot of help to relax and learn sir.
Paul never rebuked those who spoke in tongues without interpretation. Where did you get that from? Read this in context
1 Corinthians 14:6 Now, brethren, if I come unto you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, except I shall speak to you either by revelation, or by knowledge, or by prophesying, or by doctrine?
{Paul already asserted that Tongues are spoken to God and also used to edify the man or woman speaking it. However, he Bagan to relate to speaking in tongues in the local church. Hence that verse above. Please look at following verses in that perspective.}
14:12 Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church. 14:13 Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret. 14:16 Else when thou shalt bless with the spirit, how shall he that occupieth the room of the UNLEARNED say Amen at thy giving of thanks, seeing he understandeth not what thou sayest? 14:17 For thou verily givest thanks well, but the other is not edified.
{Clearly, what he is saying here is that you should interpret what is being said in tongues so that the man who doesn't see the sense in what we are doing may be carried along. Now pay attention on the following verses. All these are said in the context of speaking in tongues IN the LOCAL CHURCH}
14:18 I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all: 14:19 YET IN THE CHURCH I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue.
{This is clear enough. He said: even though I pray in tongues more than all of you, yet in the church, I will rather speak with five words in my understanding than ten thousand in other tongues so that I may be able to teach others}. The man Apostle Paul spoke in OTHER tongues really seriously.
Tongues Are Spoken To GOD. Interpretation IS ONLY NECESSARY IN THE CHURCH To Educate The Unlearned .
No I don't understand myself when I speak in to guest. It is a language spoken to God. Not to me. See
1 Corinthians 14:2 For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God.
1 Corinthians 14:14 For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.
Hope you get the English?
LOL. You must have heard "most" of the tongues in Nigeria. Funny you. Study the scriptures and stop deceiving yourself.
I typed that because I hoped you learnt. In fact, I am still hoping you have learnt something this time... The question now is,what are you really saying? Are you intentionally selecting verses in the same chapter to decieve? Are tongues meant to be used when addressing a gathering or audience without interpretation? How many people or so called ministers adhere to the direct command of Paul that when in a public gathering tongues should be interpreted or the speaker should be quiet? Are biblical tongues gibberish as we hear today or languages of people, considering Paul's statement that "there are many languages in the world, but none is without a meaning"? |

Brainiacmrtolz: Who is that perfect man that ever lived on earth? Even the Lord Jesus Christ condemned been called good ( not because he wasn't perfect, He was perfection). who is that man that God has personally chosen to judge and condemn his servants? you?.
Was apostle Paul perfect in all his ways in his ministry? was he even not a persecutor of believers of Christ until he had an encounter with God? How perfect was Abraham? who lied about his and his wife's identity, and committed adultery with a slave.Didn't God called him his servant, a man after his own heart? How perfect was David? who committed error upon errors and yet God called him his friend. Didn't the Lord Jesus Christ wrote on the ground and then said that the man who has never sinned should first cast a stone.
were we not taught to pray for our leaders in the church that they may not miss their way lest they mislead us?
Strike the shepherd and the flock will scatter
Were we not taught to love our neighbor as ourselves? were we not taught to examine ourselves? To remove first the pebble in our own eye before we can unto another?
Didn't the Lord Jesus Christ address an issue like this in pain when he proclaim a curse saying "oh ye Jerusalem who stones the prophets, woe unto you!"
King Saul as wicked as he was to David, was he not spared by David saying he dare not put his hands on an anointed man of God?
Didn't David mourn his death and even demanded that the circumstances around Saul's death must not be published in the streets of the Philistines.
2 Samuel: 1. 20. Tell it not in Gath, publish it not in the streets of Askelon; lest the daughters of the Philistines rejoice, lest the daughters of the uncircumcised triumph.
-And if a minister be wrong in his way of faith, is judging and condemning him or her the real way to help.
Don't you see that our God is love not hate
My brother we are sent to preach the gospel and guide ourselves in prayers lest our brother or sister give in to the devil (the tempter).
Let's pray for our fellow Christian to have an encounter with God not cast a stone on them. Unconditional love must be in within the body of Christ not hatred.
if a kingdom be divided against itself it cannot stand. look towards the greater image of our religion not of a man. This is not about who is and is not perfect. Brother, please speak in accordance with the word of God. 2tim 3 16... The scripture is there for reproof and correction. Peter being an apostle did not stop Paul from rebuking him in line with the scripture. David being king did not stop Nathan from rebuking him. Saul being king did not stop Samuel and even his son Jonathan from pointing out his fault. To mention more. . Ahab and Elijah, herod and john etc. Then the most important Jesus said we should go out to preach and teach Nations to observe what he has taught. Where you refuse to correct you partake in the same sin. I don talk my own |

Brainiacmrtolz: All I see is another post intended only to damage the image of Christianity possibly by an acclaimed Christian. And it breaks my heart that Christians undermine their religion in public and then talks about winning souls into the kingdom of God.
They travel around and overseas to get a convert but eventually resist him from entering the kingdom of God by making him more dammed than they are.
While some are fighting the good fight of faith some are out there destroying the works of the servants.
Instead of just preaching saying "Repent for the kingdom of God is at hand" all you hear is condemnation of a servant of God that striving to win or a servant that slips on the journey of faith.
If people of other religions are putting out messages that destroy the credibility of Christianity why should Christians be a part of it. If a minister do some that is not totally right it is not your responsibility to judge the person ( whom you did not send) , why not leave him or her to God who he claim to serve. As long as he or she claims to be a Christian he is our brother, she is our sister we must pray for him or her.
When we condemn ministers of God we don't only strike their image we strike the image of of our religion at large.
Christians need to wake up and protect our religion not destroy it. So when Paul condemned peter for a wrong doing ,he was attacking God. This rubbish has to stop. If you must accept every person who come to you claiming to be ministers of God then where do you put the word of God. Do not be moved by every wind of doctrine, test every spirit, beware of false teachers/prophets. So I as a Christian must in order to protect the religion protect unscriptural act. So I must throw away the bible and protect the religion. Which kain rubbish be this? We must be ready at all times to contend for the faith which was once and for all given to us. My friend go back to the bible and stop your blind followership of people claiming to be ministers. |

Availability of replacement parts and aftersales services. Phones will definitely become faulty, when you have to wait for a part as small as mouthpiece or battery to be imported by special order then you are in big shit.
When considering price, one must also consider the cost of maintenance, repairs and second hand value.
... Personally, I also consider the rootability of the device. |

Originalsly: Just my view... in this century there is and always will be glut in the oil market. Technology has made it possible to now extract oil that was not possible in the last century... the US ...which was the biggest buyer is now trying to sell oil. Doesn't mean oil is no longer important... it is not that important. My take on the rush to extract oil in the North is part of a bigger plan... the plan to set the North up with all it requires to be a self sufficient country, then secede and leave 'Nigeria' saddled with the debt.... the reason also why the $30 b loan is sought after without explanation. So looking at the big picture... this makes sense to me... why settle secede and have to depend on 'Nigeria' for oil? Discovery of oil in the north is Paramount to our peace in Nigeria. It is understandable that most of the problems we have today with regards security in the ND is as a result of concentration of oil in that region. Not forgetting the non-transparency of our passed military leaders in allocation of the oil blocks, we must also be factual. To tell you the truth the Non-native owners of the oil blocks in the ss would not just leave their investments because some group of people are agitating for ' their own share". If there is oil everywhere no one would be held ransom. The NDA should be agitating for specific development of the area. When I say specific I mean demands that are time specific, realistic and achievable for the benefit of the region. Mend did this initially and it yielded results. I remember when mend would demand for things like, employment of their youths with specific number or percentage stated, cleaning up of the polluted land, training for the youths etc. Although the "the settlement of the boys" became counterproductive, things like this are genuine demands. But to say " leave my land " is the biggest joke and an attempt to bite more than one can chew. |

MrPresident1: Oduduwa is a code, there was never anbody called Oduduwa, it is all mythology. Here is the breakdown
Oduduwa is the codename for a mass of ancient Israelites who arrived this present location from the middle east. Oduduwa, typically represented as a woman in the mythology, is the wife of God, or Israel who fell into idolatry and as a consequence was driven away from heaven, heaven being again the code word for leadership and world rulership.
So Oduduwa who fell from heaven is how the ancients coded the fact of history that the Yoruba are ancient Israelites.
It is all written in the Bible "The Obaship of Benin is a dynasty, this dynasty descended from Oduduwa through Oranmiyan via Eweka the first." Self Contradictory.... We are talking history you are talking about mythology and fiction. Who told you oduduwa never existed. You mentioned oramiyan yet you would disregard his grandfather. Tell this people that their father never existed -----alaafin of Oyo, alaketu of ketu, orangun of ila, olupopo of Popo, Onisabe of Sabe, Alara of Ara, Owa Obokun Ajibogun of Ijesaland.. If am correct that their forefather never existed.. |

MrPresident1: The Obaship of Benin is a dynasty, this dynasty descended from Oduduwa through Oranmiyan via Eweka the first.
dy·nas·ty ˈdīnəstē/ noun noun: dynasty; plural noun: dynasties
a line of hereditary rulers of a country. "the Tang dynasty" synonyms: bloodline, line, ancestral line, lineage, house, family, ancestry, descent, succession, genealogy, family tree;
Eweka was the love child between Oranmiyan and the Bini woman. Now listen well, it is a dynasty, OK? Dynasty. The Obaship of Benin is a dynasty descended from Oduduwa.
The Benin royal family hails from Ile-Ife and it is a dynasty.
“The Ekiokpagha treaty is the compulsory rent a new Oba-elect must pay before he is pronounced an Oba of Benin kingdom and before he is also allowed occupation of the Benin kingdom leased to Oba Eweka 1 by Ogiamien Erebo in 12.00AD.” You are right about the oba dynasty originating from ife, replacing the ogiso dynasty in igodomigodo( old name for bini) but before you go further so that no one gets confused by this post, have you asked yourself where oduduwa came from? Heaven___mythology, mecca___Yoruba historians, Benin___ Benin historians. Now act as a learned person, read the three accounts and let common sense guide you in choosing what to believe. |
