Kimba, well i must tell you that almost everything invented for man has its good and evil side. you can either use them for evil or good this lies in the hands of every individual. the first thing i would like to mention is the TV, it can be used to educate, learn about God and also used to corrupt. the next thing is the internet. there is an abundance of knowledge on the internet. it makes life very easy, while studying i had quite alot of work that involved different industries, organizations and countries which i would not have been able to complete. apart from academics there are so many Christian websites that can be joined on the internet. on the other hand the internet can also be used for evil there is so much pornography on the internet. but like i said it is left to individuals.

Wow, you can't imagine what you would do without watching TV? I have a whole lot of things to do. We didn't attend Deeper Life when we were young and you bet, my dad didn't allow us to watch TV. We had a TV in the house, allright, but the first command was "thou shalt not watch TV". Reason, to help our academics. He didn't want us to become addicts. Today, TV is a major sickness in the Western world. I attended a seminar sometime ago, i myself was surprised

I was not brought up to watch TV like an addict, when i was growing up there was a balance there is time to playand a time to study. it cant be about books, books, books and books. i can tell you i am disciplined person. i noticed one thing when i got to the university, quite a lot of children who ran wild were those who were not given freedom at home. smoking, drinking, partying like it is going out of fashion,having boyfriends or girlfriends, weeding and doing all sorts of things. Don't get me wrong, not all of them turn that way but quite a lot of them do try to have their fun because when they get home, thats it. there are quite a lot of things you can learn from watching TV, the TV can also corrupt a child but if properly monitored there are so many harmless programmes to watch.

i really do not blame the youths for running away. there are a 1001 reasons i cannot begin ti list them but i will try to list the few i can. First i would like to tell you that i am Christian and born again. i attend a pentecostal church in London it is called Kensington Temple (KT) for short.

when i was in Nigeria i knew quiet a number of deeper life people. some of the people who worked for us attended the church.in my own opinion here are some reasons the youths run away from the church

(1) The Children are not allowed to watch television.i cant imagine what i would do without watching TV. I think people should make time for everything your watching TV does not make you a bad person. the TV has the ability to corrupt but it can also educate and there are religious channels that one can watch.i in particular love to watch the Tom and Jerry cartoon. there is nothing pornographic in these cartoons they are just fun to watch. Hotel Rwanda was a good movie and so many others like that. the parents are just depriving their children of harmless fun.

(2) The church or the members do not allow their children listen to secular music . my opinion on secular music is that as long as
the lyrics of the songs do not have any swear words or bad words in them it is OK to listen to them.i love oldies and quite a number of them are not harmful.

(3) Dressing, the men really do not have anything to lose. men dress alike they can be fashionable and still blend into the church. its the young girls i feel sorry for. they are not allowed to be fashionable.they have to cover their heads, arms knees and every part of the body. in that Nigerian heat. in the summer in my church you can never find people covering up like these people do. there are ways of looking decent.and fashionable. i don't think what a woman wears has anything to do with her inside. some people cover themselves from head to toe and are promiscuous. i agree as a Christian girl, lady or woman, one should look decent but i think these people take the dressing to the extreme. and please what is wrong in a woman wearing trousers?Deeper life parents should watch Cristian channels on TV or cable e and see how these people dress.

(4) jewelery is another issue that needs to be dealt with. Why are the women no allowed to wear earrings and rings or why do they not wear them. if they decide not to wear them that is fine but why compel them or make it a rule that they must not be worn.they may say the members are not forced but if a worker or someone who is a member wears earing i am sure that person will get the cold treatment from members.

(5) the women are not allowed to get their hair done.like i mentioned earlier on the average man is not affected.why should a woman not be allowed to get her hair done or relax her hair if she wishes to. the women also have to cover their heads all the time.

(6) i know people will say they are no forced to do all these things. they are not expressly forced but it is done impliedly. imagine a deeper life worker who is female turns up one sunday with her hair relaxed, not wearing the usual hat or a scarf on her head and wearing stud earing's. i can bet you that she would be asked not to work that day.

Well, i don't think any church has the right to ask people to take a test , compel them to take a test or even force them to take a test before marriage. These churches mean well but it really is not their business. They can only advice them to take a test before marriage while the marriage counselling is going on.It is now left to them to decide whether or not they want to.

Lagos was once like Abuja, that was many many years ago. not to worry i can assure you that Abuja will slowly but surely become like Lagos.Lagos has 1001 things wrong with it. it is overpopulated, dirty, it has no been properly maintained over the years and loads of other things.

Bimbo Akintola anyday anytime, She made Genevieve's English sound like ABC in Keeping Faith. If you disagree please watch it again and compare her acting in the midst of Bimbo Akintola and Funlola Aofiyebi and you would know that Genevieve is a little bit overrated in the Nollywood industry. Don't get me wrong I am a fan as well I just can't and would never compare her to Bimbo Akintola. I think she is too comfortable in the industry and has probably forgotten to be a Julia Roberts in not just with a pretty face. Pretty face fades after a while but pure talent doesn't. Talking about Genevieve's beauty, are people just judging by facial looks only because I hate the way Genevieve walks and the way her bum sits on her hips or should I say legs.A very pretty Lady won't walk pass Genevieve and say Oh my God! Abeg my fellow Nairalanders Genevieve can only make mouth in the midst of her fellow people(in the country of the blind one eyed man is the king) but where Bimbo is mentioned (Okin Ni Baba Eye meaning the Peacock rules all birds) and it definitely includes Genevieve!

Bimbo and funlola are in a class of their own i am not a fan of nigerian movies but i have watched quite a few and i know and think that Bimbo is a million times better than the Genevieve girl. Even when it comes to looks she has such a fine face.

Bimbo akintola is it everytime. you cannot compare. and please what is all the noise about Genevieve. Bimbo speaks better the way she pronounces and she can deliver whatever role is given to her. when it comes to acting Genevieve cannot stand near her. even in looks i think and know that bimbo is better looking.

The commit the piracy before any one else does by using foreign songs as their soundtrack without the permission of the record label or the artist.they should know better than this. i believe on person out of the whole movie crew should at least be educated and have knowledge of the law.they should have acting school or a performing school and only the ones who can speak english properly should be allowed to act in the english movies.

How can you compare them? is that a joke or what? this is a sad thing to say but tuface does not have 1/10000 of the money akon has not even the success. akon is known internationally and tuface is just known by nigerians not even all Nigerians know him. its like comparing a mongrel dog to a poodle, they are miles apart. where akon goes tuface cannot think of reaching. the Nigerian music industry is a million years behind the American music indsutry, the quality of our music videos the sound and there is no even the presence of technology in those vieos. i think tuface should be happy doing what he is doing in Nigeria and be content and hope and pray that he will reach international stardom one day. but if he has to do that he has to first move out of Nigeria and work on himself a great deal.

You have to take heart, i know the feeling. but there is absolutely nothing you can do about it!!!! thank you stars he is not doing it behind you!! you just find it hard to bear the thought of him with your sis and you just do not want to think of what they will get up to. you just have to block your mind, i believe your sister is an adult and she knows right from wrong. we do not always choose who we fall in love with you know, just pray and hope everything works out well between them and remember you date and break the hearts of other peoples sisters and daughters. if it works out for the both of them fine and if it does not end well take it that it was just a phase meant to be and a learning process for your sister. do you want to marry her? if he makes her happy and treats her well let it be coz thats the most important thing you know.
