Health / Dangers Of Miracle Drugs In Weight Loss Management by xsey: 1:34pm On Feb 13, 2019
Dangers of Miracle Drugs in Weight Loss Management

I know this article may not really sell like ads promising unrealistic miracle overnight weight loss.

The Nigeria and African market is gradually turning to be a dumping ground for all manner of drugs, herbal remedies and fast solutions.

You can hardly go to any supermarket, surf the internet without coming across products with big promises.

I'm really concerned about this. I've seen many suffer self-inflicted problems on themselves all in the name of Self medication and these miracle solutions.

Well, after trying many solutions in this area, I have come to a logical conclusion...There Are No Miracle Solution Anywhere when it comes to Weight loss Management except the one that's safe for your overall health.

The So-called solution for those it has worked for is not a universal solution... I will be making a big mistake if I recommend the same supplements or diet that works for me. Our bodies are different and we react differently to the same thing. But I can recommend the globally accepted methods to anyone - Proper Nutrition and Fitness (Exercise).

There are other folks suffering from other issues who would be far better off booking an appointment with a qualified Medical Doctor but would rather put his/her life in the hands of a marketer who probably mastered the act of selling.

We Need Our Lives Back:
That's the reason for writing this Note.

I really don't have anything against any marketer or company. But at least there should be a guide before buying a product.

The problem in this part of the world is Relying too much on information via the internet over Age-long Clinical solutions.

In a simple language, relying solely on internet information for your health matters might be a slow poison. Can be very dangerous. I'm not suggesting that one cannot get quality info online. I'll be totally wrong to say that.. As a matter of fact, you're reading this Note online.

But I always suggest you always read info objectively and with an opened mind. It's safer that way...

Moving to the main point:

Here are some basic Facts That is universally accepted (Any additional information or suggestions are welcome)

1. You have to be very careful what you consume. Medical folks are not stupid. They agree that supplements are what they are (Supplement means to support). What marketers of supplements do is to give a Hype for their products by selective very few testimonies from people that the supplements works for.

Even those testimonies can be queried over a period of time. NAFDAC approval of supplements doesn't mean its claim of curing the ailment is valid but simply means it's safe for consumption. This is clearly written on most of these drugs

2. You're simply what you eat overtime. "Don't be deceived. Bad foods corrupt good body".
No food is itself is bad but it must be what is good for you. Many have bought into Diet programs like 3-Day Diet Program, 7 Weeks Diet Program, etc.
But the truth is some of these work but others don't.
In some cases the situation either become worse after the initial success in weight loss or leads to other medical complications.

3. Genetics is something you can't change. It's who you are. What you inherited must be properly managed.

4. For those with Big Tummy, In most cases having a "Flat Tummy" is your sole responsibility. Except you're pregnant or dealing with issues like Fibroid.

5. You didn't acquire that fat in 1 day, so your miracle solutions can't reduce your size in 1 day or few weeks.

6. If you don't do it gradually you are going to pay for it someday - pray it's not dangerous payback.

7. *Proper Nutrition and Fitness Best Suited to each individual" as a lifestyle, remain the only Clinically Proven Ways of Maintaining a Healthy Body.

8. And when it comes to Nutrition, There's nothing like no one size fits all solution... This is where people get it all wrong... No 2 persons are the same. In weight management, you need a Personal Coach who must be Medically Certified to do such.

9. A bad or excessive weight loss may give you at least one of these bad symptoms immediately.
I) Bad Mouth Odour
ii) Saggy Breast.
III) Reduced Butt.
Iv) Wrinkles in your body or face.

Every year, Medical students go through the eye of a needle to qualify for different certifications.

Business / Re: Exportation Business Is Not As Hard As People Feel.... by xsey: 11:45am On Dec 04, 2013
Hello house!

I've followed the thread for a while.

"Export of Foodstuffs, Agro commodities, etc"

Here's my personal opinion based on my personal experience and observation in the business.

Export: is expanding your goods/services to the International Market. That is; you want to establish links Globally.

The first thing to master is "your product"

Product Knowledge:

Do you really know and understand your products very well?

I agree that Nigerians in diaspora need certain food items, But are you aware that the packaging and product specification required to bring food items to the UK and US is completely different from how we handle and package our food items here?

** Is Your Product "Perishable or Non-Perishable?**

Experienced exporters try to put some measures in place especially when you export perishable commodities to foreign countries.

**Ask Yourself tough questions**
Do I want Profit and Regular Income?

If your main goal is profit and not just the prestige that comes with being an exporter, Some of those food items would make you more profits if you sell them locally. - " My Opinion based on experience"
While some would make you more money exporting them. It's all about thinking.

Yam for example: Few people can do the "hard work" required to make it work because it requires hardwork to meet up with the standards by the UK GOVT for bringing food items into their country.

The specifications varies from buyer to buyer.

Generally exportable yam should have the following characteristics.
Diameter- 3.5-4.5cm, Length- 15-40cm, No hair (No fibers), No fingers (branches)Very smooth body with no sand (if at all it should be very minimal)
No injury (if at all it should be very
minimal)
Not too big (enough for a family to
eat at once)
This is one of the specifications and it varies
.
"If you cannot meet up with this specification for example, don't send your products" if you can meet up, you may go ahead.

"Also if you do not know the measures to protect your product quality from Nigeria to your country of destination, keep your money or sell Locally"

This rule must be followed for all perishable products.

* Do you have a Buyer yet or How do you Intend getting one?
You must thread carefully here.
Negotiate a good deal.

* What form of payment is the Buyer offering?
There are different forms of payment and you need to be skillful in choosing the best form.

If you're not very sure of your product, never sell it.

Meanwhile, when you sell to the Local Markets, you make your money within a week and turn it over. Your N50,000 is just okay to do this locally rather than trade in export (with the hope of making the so-called millions with N50,000)
The specifications for local market is very easy to meet up. (No special rule) as long as you buy at the right source.

Think Deep!

However, if you want to go into export business, just know these:

1. Export is a real business and must be mastered. Take enough time to master it. "If You rush into it without thorough preparation, you will soon rush out"

2. My personal advice is that "Don't, Never rush into it without proper knowledge, adequate information of the Processes Involved and preparation"
The necessary regulations that applies to your export product.

3. Also, there is a major difference between what you hear by anyone and what is actually happening in this export business.

4. Export business also requires you to learn how to master details. As in pay attention to details" There's nothing called insignificant details in export. All the details matters a lot. (It's a business of details)

5. Accept that nothing is free! Whether you want to sell Agro-commodities locally or export, real work, effort and money is required.

6. If you will get any training at all, get Hands-on training/mentoring/field experience. This is by far the best form of training you can get.

The manuals and countless talk or gist only can only give you an introduction to this business....

7. Start your export career with "Non-Perishable" Exportable Products.
You must be very sure of how to maintain the quality of your products till it gets to the final destination.

8. You must ask questions and query everything that is against 'common sense"
If any export offer sounds too good to be true and too easy to do, Run!

That's my candid opinion anyway and it's based on my experience of several years in the business.

There is a lot to learn.

I love to improve too!
So I'm open for honest Corrections, Contribution and Questions.

Enjoy!

1. Is the form still available (deadline) and How much is the form?
2. How do I get it or how Can you help in getting it?
3. Do you have the prospectus or how do I get the list of Courses available for Social science/Management sciences.
I have a Bsc Accounting, which MSc programme can I apply for (aside MSc Accounting)

muhd. T:
@prologue. The following are the rebate that the coy pay customers on each flour they buy. Volume discount, cash discount, wheat offal discount, special wheat offal discount, special city discount, quarterly rebate (every 3 month), annual rebate (once in a year). The rebate being paid by the coy depend on customer city, so it varies.
@ Johnsilver19. 2 million as capital start up for flour distributor is too small but you can be a sub-distributor with it so forget about the loan stuff. I won't advise you to go for loan cos "na interest go pocket your profit at the end of the day"

Please, I was about planning to locate your office (Golden penny) in Lagos for Wheat Offal...I have the market for Wheat Offal in Ibadan and Ogun State and I want to register as a distributor or at least a sub-distribution depending on your company's terms and requirements...
We want to start with Cash...Please How do I go about it..
What's the minimum quantity 300 bags or 600 bags? And the Price...
Thanks for the information so far...
Business / Re: Ginger Exportation Foreign Buyers by xsey: 12:14pm On Apr 05, 2013
Ginger export is cool if you have the capital to finance it..
Getting a contract is the easy, the quality of what you want to send is the main thing.
I can help with the contract as long as you can finance the contract.

Don't bother getting a buyer from b2b website, it's a long process, highly risky and the success rate is low.
If you have the source(good quality), we could find a way of working together.

Agriculture / Re: Egg Distribution Or Pig Farming Which Would You Advice With Reasons by xsey: 10:08pm On Feb 28, 2013
@sweetdbest;

Poultry business is very profitable no doubt but before you get to that point, there are processes involved

Here's my best Opinion about egg Production.(Layers)
There are loads of poultry farms all around in Ogun/Lagos/Ibadan.
I'll suggest you walk up to any of the poultry farmers around (Your approach matters a lot here)
Just explain to them your honest intentions.

You may consider working for them for free to gain relevant experience.

Learn on a daily basis(or weekends) for about 3-6 months. you would have a better understanding about poultry business and know which aspect you want to master if you are able to do this.

Production is not all about the money, it's about investing Your Time first.
After your hands-on training, Start Small and grow as you gain more experience.

No book/theories can give you the exact figures to expect. Any sincere farmer will attest to this fact.

Volunteer to work for free till you gain relevant experience in that field. **Layers requires hands-on experience**

Don't be tempted to venture into poultry Production because of the Potentials alone. Learn all you can about it. Invest your Time in learning before investing big money.

Layers requires loads of cash and it's only very profitable if you know its management.

Best of luck
Agriculture / Re: Egg Distribution Or Pig Farming Which Would You Advice With Reasons by xsey: 8:52pm On Feb 28, 2013
Egg Distribution is Perfect if you have the flare for Marketing.
You just need to be very sure of 2 important things;
1. Your regular Source.
2. Your Market.

At the moment, Eggs are not easy to come by in Lagos and Ibadan. We have only succeeded in getting about 1,000 crates in 1 week.

I have tried egg production before...I didn't enjoy the process, management, high running cost, patience, etc. Plus Too many troubles. *My Opinion though* (That does not mean production is not good.)
I still have plenty friends who are comfortable with production.

But, I feel most comfortable with egg Distribution than production. It meets my immediate and short-term goals.

The Market is Very Big and easy for me.

Egg Distribution/Production or Pig Farming.
Egg distribution is by far better in my opinion.
Agriculture / Re: He Wants To Resign & Do Vegetable Farming - Please Advice by xsey: 4:52pm On Feb 27, 2013
My Opinion; Passion drives any business especially Farm Business.
Nothing is wrong with trying, but make sure you try when you have done your proper homework.

I have always been self-employed; While in school and after school. As it is, I don't know how it feels to earn regular pay.

I have been into FarmProduce Marketing for a certain period of time. But before I commited much capital into the business, I have understudied many examples(Mentoring).

One thing is common in Farm business;
1. *Look before you leap* Take Calculated Risk
2. Develop a Good Passion.
3. Start small; (In case there is a mistake, it will be small)
4. Grow your farm Business as you gain experience.
5. Read books/ebooks on farm business.
6. Get a Mentor and be a good student.
Understudy and ask relevant questions.
You can eliminate your farm business frustrations with the help of a Mentor.

Before you resign, Get full knowledge about the business through Mentoring.

All the best!

WAOOOO #600,000 turns #1,200,000 IN TWO MONTHS

In October 2010 a friend of mine was entitled to a N600,000 loan at his working place. He told me his intention was to buy a TOKUNBO car , But he got my contact and i simply gave him an idea that when you spend this money to buy car you immediately become a debtor cause it'll be considered spent but if invested you are not a debtor but an investor.
Luckily for my guy he followed my advise by investing the money in an export business of Charcoal ....... costing him 600,000 per container three weeks later he collected 2850Euros changed it at the rate of N210 per euro making a sum of N598500 meaning he only need 1500 to balance his initial of N600,000. The however the 2850Euros was just 80% of the money in return. he repeated this exercise three times in two month having a profit of about N200,000 per consignment.
What a wise decision!
Now he can buy his car and still have his N600,000 working for him.

Wise Saying : learn to be an investor and not a spender, a penny invested is better than a million spent" BE WISE
