What this article did not mention is the extent of brutality the soldier inflicted on the poor girl in the name of discipline. The girl passed out and had to be revived , also he didn't flog her with cane but wood. You need to see the bruises on the young girl's body. I am not holding brief for cutlass wielding Mother, her actions are condemnable and requires sanctions. But the soldier himself went over-board. PS.
