NYSC / Re: NYSC Program May Be Scrapped As Discontinuation Bill Gets 2nd Reading by Y2kdon: 9:42pm On May 24, 2021
Isn't this long overdue? The number of innocent young people that die on this course is outrageous.

The scheme is excessively over-hype and with FG wasting billions of Naira on foods and all other logistics yet what they dish out in camps are below mediocre.

The monthly allowance is now N33,000 and by 1 year is N396,000. Why not pay each graduate this lump sum after due verification to enable them start up something in life to encourage entrepreneurship, than exposing them to all manner of life-threatening circumstances all in the name of "service to the nation"

The aim of this scheme had long been defeated and I can't wait to see when it would be scrapped indeed.

Is LA Buena Vida a Scam? Read >>> https://www.nairaland.com/6521497/la-buena-vida-heard-it

Please don't be misguided by the fake reviews on trustpilot.
Like a pyramid scheme.

It's an MLM. It operates a binary system - you bring 2 people who will bring 2 and the 2 bring a further 2.

Do you know that if one person starts a network marketing in a binary system and each person signed up brings 2 people every month, in 36 months, there should be over 68 billion people in the network. What is the population of the world?

Ask yourself, what will happen to the last set of people that will be signed up? Who are they going to sign up?

In every network marketing system, the bulk of the participants are at the bottom. In a binary system, 50% of all the participants will be at the bottom level at every single point in time and another 25% will be in the level just above them. Then 12.5% will be 2 levels above. Mind you that these 3 levels haven't made any gain at all.

What does that tell you? At every point in time, 87.5% of participants of any network marketing company are either running at a loss or have just managed to recover the capital they invested. Less than 10% are the ones that have made any reasonable profit.

So for every Mike, Nefo, Kelechi, Sam (Ifeanyi) etc who have made money in La Buena Vida, there are tens of others who have run at a loss.

Scam and the government is yet to suspend them? Scam and the government officials are partnering with them?
Nigeria is like this today because of persons like you! And I ask, must you keep hating?
Cheap blackmail! Keep blackmailing a legitimate MLM organization while it keeps soaring like the eagle. You hulk!

Not really your fault anyways, your likes are called blackman, who cannot find out the so many secrets written in the books.
There's no need asking for your age as your write-up says it all. Go read some books and stop swimming in ignorance

Career / Staff Protest At Access Bank Head Office Lagos (photos) by Y2kdon: 11:02am On Dec 02, 2020
Some staff sacked by Access Bank during the recent lockdown due to Corrona Virus pandemic protested on 2 December at Access Bank Head Office in Lagos.

They are demanding for their entitlement with the hashtag #PayUsOurEntitlement.

Most of them are not employeable again due to age having spent 4-13 years on the job

A leaked video of the MD/CEO Mr. Herbert Wigwe justifying their sack went viral during that period.

I wonder why Access Bank is always cast on the bad light!

Career / Access Staff Sack And Denial: Over 1000 Sacked And Was Not Paid Off by Y2kdon: 9:31pm On May 30, 2020
Access bank unjustly sacked its Support Staff after spending years with them. Tellers, Customer Service Officers,Security guards,Drivers and Cleaners were sacked.

This is the bank we all worked for and represented wholeheartedly throughout our stay in service.

As a Customer Service Officer (CCO) I would protect them from customer bashing and attempted defamation in explaning and pacifying customers anger, even with all the illegal recoup of fund and debit entries on customers accounts E.g multiple unsolicited ATM cards issuance fee, SMS alert fee( This one don't even calculate because you lose count of it) card maintenance fee, recoup of fund for non-existed transactions (ATM and online trasactions).

Access bank cares less about their Support staff who do virtually all the work in the bank(Customer complaint and enquiry, cash and tellering, Fund transfer,ATM services, etc) and yet discard them like rags just to maximize profit.

It's still disheartening that over a 1000 of us(Support Staff) are laid off on the 1st May 2020 (MAYDAY) and NO BENEFIT or SEVERANCE was paid to us for the undiluted services throughout these years. And the worst was that they go about to deny that "NOBODY WAS SACKED" That it's a rumor. Just to save face in the market populace. This is a bank donating billions and palliatives all in the name of assisting to fight the impact of COVID-19 pandemic, yet sacked some of its loyal staff who have laboured for years without benefit same period it was doling out billions and palliatives. What a hypocrite! What a bank!!

We worked days and weekends including Sundays to see that things were right. Especially during Post-Intercontinental bank merger and during Post-Diamond Bank merger. We slept on the chairs and on empty cartons and would leave the office sometimes at midnight and this is how we were paid? It's well.

I can't recount all here in writings. All we are asking Access Bank is to pay us off because we deserve it and to cushion the impact of this COVID-19. Our years of loyal service cannot be in vain. Access Bank should not deny us by tagging us "Non-essential Staff acquired from Diamond bank" because we were not those, but support Staff of Access Bank.

abysirius: For complete 1 year I stayed in Aba and I doubt if Aba is as terrible as u're painting it. Most especially all these areas that u mentioned. Fine, Aba has a drainage problem. But if u've been to a place like Onitsha then u will understnd that Aba is better. For your info, I stay @ Omenazu (corpers lodge). Umunghazi, Ariaria and even 'aiorun' permit my spellings, are our catchment areas where we (family house) do our monthly shopping. Aba to me isn't bad. Let me ask u: have u visited Ajegunle b4? Boundary, Alakoto, and all those places them. What will u say about those areas? Aba is okay joor. Abi na where all these lawless pple no dey sef? Na for Osusu town hallan very close to BTC I do inec reg as Aro1. So I know aba wella. Aba, I love Aba.
