Statistics shows that more than 88% of the world's phone users waste money on phone purchase. Why? What they buy is not what they need or want. So before you hit the phone store, how can you avoid this mistake so as to spend your hard earned money judiciously when making a phone purchase? Here are what you must do first: 1. What are you looking for in a phone? Imagine spending N200,000 purchasing a phone for photography and you discovered your neighbour's N45,000 phone equals the picture quality of your phone or even did better. That's heartbreaking, isn't it? Do you know that phone makers have specific users in mind before production? So you must first of all identify who you are and what you want. Do you like photography, gaming, social media, durability, or aesthetics in a phone? Well if it's photography, you need potent camera phones, good lens. This is not a measure of pixel counts. Gaming, phones with capable GPU (graphics processing unit). Social Media? Good antenna and much network bands/supports. Durability? Preferably metal or plastic. Aesthetics? Glass or metal. If you find technical specifications of a mobile phone challenging, you can do a little search on YouTube or Google. 2. How much can you afford? Our purchasing power differs. If it's N10,000 you have, you have right to getting the best value for your money. So after identifying what you want, look at the list, offerings and decide which to buy. Can you afford a new or second hand phone? What's the maintenance cost? Is this a good time to buy or should I wait for a price cut? Being a fanboy will only make you miss the best your money can buy. 3. Availability and Region Not all phones you see online are available at the moment and not all available phones are still in production i.e. some phones are just old or lack support. Do you know that buying a phone not made for your country could put you in disadvantage of usability and maintenance? So buying a global version is usually safe for Nigerians. 4. Warranty If you are buying a phone, it is wise to get phone whose maker covers some faults for free whether repair or replacement. You will cherish the importance of warranty when a new phone you recently purchased starts giving you issues. 5. User Review I remember preparing to go get a new phone, only to read User's complain of poor WiFi connection. Immediately, I cancelled the purchase. I personally own a WiFi router so poor WiFi connection is a "no go" for me 6. Community There are more mobile OS than you know. Here in Nigeria, Android phones has more community, more users, than others. You might want people to just Xender you an application or game you want so you can save data cost. If data cost or community size doesn't bother you, you can consider other alternatives. This all I could dish out for Naija people on buying a phone. I hope you apply it before making a purchase. Thanks. |
The vehicle was found shortly before 01:40 BST at Waterglade Industrial Park in Grays, police said. Essex Police said the trailer has been moved to a secure location where the bodies of those inside - a teenager and 38 adults - can be recovered. The driver, named locally as Mo Robinson, 25, from Portadown, County Armagh, Northern Ireland, has been arrested on suspicion of murder. Essex Police said the trailer arrived via ferry from Zeebrugge, Belgium, into Purfleet on the River Thames. The ship docked in the Thurrock area shortly after 00:30, the force said. It is believed the lorry then left the port about 35 minutes later. Deputy Chief Constable Pippa Mills said identifying the victims remained a "number one priority", but was expected to be a "lengthy process". The National Crime Agency said it had sent officers to assist and identify any "organised crime groups who may have played a part". Essex lorry deaths: Latest updates Why do people risk their lives to get to the UK? Richard Burnett, chief executive of the Road Haulage Association, said the trailer appeared to be a refrigerated unit, where temperatures could be as low as -25C. He described conditions for anyone inside as "absolutely horrendous". A spokesman for the Bulgarian foreign affairs ministry confirmed the truck was registered in the country. "The Scania truck was registered in Varna (on the east coast) under the name of a company owned by an Irish citizen," he said. "Police said that it is highly unlikely that they are Bulgarians," he added. Police have appealed for witnesses and anyone with information about the lorry's route to contact them. The force said it believed the tractor unit - or front part - of the lorry had come from Northern Ireland. Speaking at Prime Minister's Questions, he said: "I know that the thoughts and prayers of all members will be with those who lost their lives and their loved ones.

These are the top shooting titles on ios and Android. They both attempted to cook the same meal with different spices. So here is my comparison between the two: 1. Different Graphics Engine. While PUBG uses Unreal Engine 4, COD uses Unity. Since d graphics are built using different engines, the results differs and will depend on what u like. While Unreal engine offers realism in both environment and physics, Unity only attempted to do so. 2. Hardware Demands COD is less demanding. For this reason, there are phones that can run COD than PUBG so this is a plus. Although PUBG Lite was intended to run on low spec phones but if ur phone can run COD, u will find the lite version of PUBG a waste of time, space and data. 3. Battery Consumption. The difference in battery consumption btw these 2 titles is very significant. U will play rounds of COD than PUBG on a single charge. Although a new PUBG update addressed this issue a little, the significance is still clear. Games running on Unreal Engine 4 are never battery friendly. Example is the PES 19 & 20. 4. Server Connection COD wins in this aspect. U will enjoy better server metering on COD than on PUBG. Activision, producers of COD are more experienced in the gaming world and already have plenty servers. All they did was to convert some to support mobile. 5. Gameplay There is a lot difference here. I will mention only the significant ones. In PUBG, u r a regular guy with a goal to survive, while COD, u r a soldier on a mission, survival still matters. So the environments, cars and conversations tells the story better. COD has more moments of combats. U can play PUBG for like 10 minutes with no 1 shooting at u while that's not so on COD. Pls note that combats in PUBG can get so intense and overwhelming than on COD. Guns. In COD u can take rounds of getting shot and stand tall. For this reason, u will b more relaxed and a little careless on COD. U try that in PUBG, u will hit the lobby to play another match. Note that snipper rifle are very lethal in COD. 6. Game Modes Classic mode/Battle royal. PUBG is miles ahead of COD in battle royal. Infact, I don't think there is a future for COD in this mode. From environment, maps, weather, sound and places. Although in COD, u have helicopter to fly, rocket launchers, and ability to bring back a dead team mate, PUBG also promised an update with those features. We will see how they implement it. Teams death match/multiplayer. This is where COD showed they are here for business, they've come for real. It's so amazing what u get. Great visuals, diverse environment, diverse war equipment and operations. U can shoot, launch drones, mount machine guns, call airstrike and so on.. Verdict It depends on what u want. They are both great games, addictive and available for free. That's all I can say to help u choose which to play.

Ur write-up is fine but lacks substance. U speak of a future without being specific or detailed. So what future do u have in mind? Sound convincing. Don't leave your readers mystified |
