PoliticsMetrobiafra: Ex-militants Issue Buhari 31-day Ultimatum To Release Kanu. by yahrant140(op): 10:56am On Jan 24, 2016
Supporters of the Biafra movement among the Niger Delta ex-militants have given President Mohammadu Buhari led federal government 31-day deadline to free the leader of the group and Director of Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, or face the consequences.
Also, the former warlords warned security agencies against tampering with the life of the IPOB leader, who is detained at Kuje Prison. Spokesperson of the concerned ex-militants, simply identified as General Ben, warned that at the expiration of the ultimatum, they would resume massive abduction of expatriates as a first step.
The spokesperson declared that Federal Government should not underrate the activities of the militants in the Niger Delta, no matter the number of soldiers deployed against them.
He fumed: “The ex-militant leaders in Ebeocha IPOB are warning the Federal Government and are giving them 31 days to release Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of IPOB and Director of Radio Biafra.
“We are giving Federal Government deadline; if they fail to release him, the country would be vandalised. He is fighting a just cause. Nothing should happen to him and Federal Government should not forget what we can do,” he threatened.

All these noise about asset declaration will still meet the requirements of that country and those that owned the properties definitly will have something to back it up in terms of their respective earnings, secondly the UAE has a constitution that is one thing nigerians forgot, unlike here we don't obey rule of law, buhari shouldn't be targeting his enemies and end up destroying nigeria,no part of the world you visit without nigerians having properties there,IBB alone owns chains of properties in egypt likewise buhari himself, this man should be adviced properly else he'll plunge nigeria into anarchy and chaos.
PoliticsWorld - READ What UAE Told Nigerian Officials After Signing Agreement! by yahrant140(op): 10:42am On Jan 24, 2016
Nigerian officials in UAE have been asked to declare assets following the President Buhari's agreement with His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces on recovery of stolen funds in the country.
Nigeria has sought a declaration of assets from its UAE-based officials, according to a report.
It was reported widely during the week that Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has given the Nigerian embassy in the UAE until March 31 to compile a list of all current and former officials with assets in the country.
In a Sahara Reporters story published on January 22, the website claims to have been given a list of prominent Nigerians with assets in the UAE. Among the names included were that of former First Lady Patience Jonathan, former comptroller-general of customs Abdullahi Dikko, former petroleum minister Diezani Alison-Madueke, and former attorney-general and minister for justice Mohammed Bello Adoke.
The news comes less than a week after, to discuss ways in which to strengthen bilateral relations.
On the same day, UAE Minister of Justice Sultan bin Saeed Al Badi and his Nigerian counterpart Abubakar Malami signed four agreements, including an agreement on mutual legal assistance in criminal affairs and agreement on the extradition of criminal fugitives.

PoliticsGeneral Aliyu Mohammed “die-to-rule” Gusau Exposed As Top Boko Haram Sponsor. by yahrant140(op): 10:32am On Jan 24, 2016
NewsRescue– Nigeria’s National Security Adviser boldly and surprisingly made the admission that Aliyu Mohammed Gusau, Ibrahim Babangida(IBB), Bukola Saraki or possibly Atiku Abubakar’s presidential ambition was behind the sponsoring of Boko Haram.
Shortly after daring to give the truth to the Nigerian people, General Azazi was not only fired from his position, but killed when his helicopter was exploded over Bayelsa.
General Azazi obviously had the office and capacity to know the real details behind Boko Haram. His position as the Nations Security Adviser, put him at the head of that information. If anyone should know who and what is behind Boko Haram, it would be someone who occupies that office.
The current President, Goodluck Jonathan has on several occasions admitted that they knew who was behind Boko Haram, and these were top level officials.
Facial reaction as Azazi lays it bare
Gen. Azazi explicitly declared to his audience, who was behind the unrest. He narrowed it down to the result of ‘unconstitutional’ PDP convention regulations, which determined who could run for President, vs who could not run.
Boko Haram’s “Sudden” Sophistication Implies Powerful Sponsors — Azazi
Gen. Azazi(RIP) did not my mince words. Almost as though he had determined and was willing to die for Nigeria, by establishing the truth against all odds, he even further revised the theoretically commonly presented factors behind Boko Haram terror, to include, not only the usual, ‘poverty,’ and ‘religion,’ but also the ‘die-hard-to-be-president,’ factor.
He said:
The extent of violence did not increase in Nigeria until there was a declaration by the current president that he was going to contest.PDP got it wrong from the beginning, from the on-set by saying Mr A can rule, Mr A cannot rule, Mr B can rule, Mr B cannot rule, according to PDP’s convention, rules and regulation and not according to the constitution {applause}and that created the climate for what has manifest itself, this way. I believe that there is some element of politicization. is it possiblethat somebody was thinking that only Mr. A could win, and if he did not win, there will be problems in this society.
Let’s examine all these issues to see whether the level of violence in the North East just escalated becauseBoko Haram suddenly became better trained, better equipped and better funded, and in any case how did they get it all done…{warning of Boko Haram becoming snipers – who could potentially target elite}
But, then I must also be quick to point out that today, even if all the leaders that we know in Boko Haram are arrested, I don’t think the problem would end, because there are tentacles. I don’t think that people would be satisfied, because the situations that created theproblems are not just about the religion, poverty or the desire to rule Nigeria. I think it’s a combination of everything. Except you address all those things comprehensively, it would not work”.

PoliticsDon’t Destroy Our Communities In The Name Of Flushing Out Vandals – Ijaw Elders by yahrant140(op): 6:37pm On Jan 23, 2016
SAN FRANCISCO, January 22, (THEWILL) – Some Ijaw elders under the auspices of the Bayelsa Elders Council, BEC, has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to direct security agencies to identify those behind recent attacks on major oil and gas pipelines in the Niger Delta region and bring them to justice under the rule of law.
In a communiqué issued on Friday at the end of a crucial meeting in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital, the elders however called on the President to warn security operatives against destroying innocent communities in the name of fishing out pipeline vandals.
The meeting was called to review the state of the nation with particular attention to the rising attacks on oil and gas installations.
In the communiqué signed by its Chairman, Chief Francis Doukpola and Publicity Secretary, Chief Thompson Okorotie, BEC warned the perpetrators to desist from further attacks on pipelines so as not to damage the economy of the state and the country in view of continuous fall of crude oil price.
The elders also asked the Federal Government to exercise caution while making statements on the matter and to consult widely before making decisions on issues affecting the amnesty programme.
They urged the federal government to apply the carrot and stick approach by negotiating with the host communities to bring about sustainable solutions to the problem,
They said: “The council expresses its support for the anti-corruption crusade embarked upon by President Mohammadu Buhari. It is however concerned about the way certain fellow Nigerians including Ijaws have been handled in the process.
“All Nigerians deserve to be treated decently in preservation of their fundamental human rights under the rule of law.”

Former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, reportedly paid companies linked to Doyin Okupe, a former media aide to President Goodluck Jonathan, at least N1.6 billion to hack ‘unfriendly’ websites.
Two companies linked to Doyin Okupe, a former media aide to President Goodluck Jonathan, got at least N1.6 billion off the former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, in three shady cyber security contracts, PREMIUM TIMES investigations have shown.
One of the contracts had instructions to hunt down unfriendly media websites with Distributed Denial of Service attacks.
It was a project conceived to shut down online media platforms perceived as friendly to Buhari or critical of Mr. Jonathan ahead of the 2015 election.
The other was a contract to intercept all optic fibre cables landing in Nigeria. The third was a passive mass and target GSM interception that had the ability to decrypt ciphers and operate undetected. Mr. Okupe, a former Senior Special Assistant on Public Affairs to Mr, Jonathan, has so far evaded scrutiny in the ongoing arms contracting scandal where the former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, is charged for allegedly mismanaging funds meant for the fight against Boko Haram in Nigeria’s northeast region.

Politics‘biafra Agitation Response To Militants Threatening To Islamize Nigeria-vanguard by yahrant140(op): 6:13am On Jan 19, 2016
ABAKALIKI—A Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, chieftain in Ebonyi State, Mr. Abia Onyike, on Monday, faulted former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s description of Biafra as ‘dead,’ stating that the resurgence of the Biafran idea was a response to the politics of Islamic state militants who are threatening to islamize the country.
File: IPOB potesters grounding Onitsha, the commercial city of Anambra State, South-east Nigeria, during their 1 Million March, to call for the immediate release of their leader, Nnamdi Kanu. Kanu was arrested by the Department of State Services, DSS, on his way into Nigeria from UK
Briefing newsmen in Abakaliki on the state of nation, Onyike stated that “Though the former President was right in blaming the Biafran agitation on frustration and marginalisation, he got it wrong by claiming that the Biafran idea was dead.”
“Recall that 12 Northern states adopted sharia law in Obasanjo’s first tenure as President(1999-2003). Recall also that the first major event of the 21st century was the bombing of the twin towers in New York. Islamic terrorism has grown in the world. In Africa, the story is no different.
“In Nigeria, the local franchise of global islamization is the Boko Haram. Obasanjo should first of all fight to see that the Islamization policy is dead before wishing Biafra dead because the resurgence of Biafra may be the result of the fear of Islamization and political persecution since the Igbos are the largest Christian block in the Nigerian federation”.

talktonase:
The 1999 constitution has nothing to offer Nigerians. It was a document written by a few selfish miscreants absolving themselves of crimes against the state.
the 1999 Constitution and the CC report 2014, you will see the urgent need for us to talk.
We cannot achieve anything with both documents under discussion.
The first thing we need to talk about is the basis of our co-existence since we do not have the luxury of good organization in place at the time of independence in the USA in 1776.
The USA had been in existence under co-federation before their independence.
They are lucky to have thinkers who aptly divided the nation into counties and they started land distribution since the 1600s.
When it came to time of independence, it was not too difficult for different regions to come on board and join the union.
We remember they had only the original 13 colonies at independence.
At the Philadelphia conference they discussed only about the legal framework of their existence and they came up with the USA constitution comprising of 7 Articles and two years later they added the first 10 amendments now called the bill of rights. To date they have 27 amendments.
A constitution has to be simple and easy to understand and should contain as little as possible.
I don't know who wrote the 1999 Constitution that Nigeria adopted but it is a piece of bad document that we need to seriously consider replacing. We have been scammed by that document.
If we do not do it, our children would.
We all love the country and we have to keep talking, first about the form and substance of our togetherness.
This is not about constitution. We need to talk about issues like number of appropriate states for the nation, form of government, duties of government and responsibilities of citizens, distribution of land among all interested parties, federal and local government, citizens, educational and religious institutions and record all interests.
Our elders did not do all this before we came and we have to deal with it.
PoliticsThe Abdulsalami 1999 Consitution.(opinion) by yahrant140(op): 10:45pm On Jan 18, 2016
The 1979 and later the 1999 constitution by which we are now governed sealed whatsoever was left unsealed in the grand plan to keep the poor poorer and the rich, richer. For instance, Section 6(6)C of our 1999 constitution takes away every right a Nigerian has to question his Fundamental Rights as Nigerian;
S.6 (6)(c) “shall not except as otherwise provided by this Constitution, extend to any issue or question as to whether any act of omission by any authority or person or as to whether any law or any judicial decision is in conformity with the Fundamental Objectives and Directive Principles of State Policy set out in Chapter II of this Constitution”
In essence, as Nigerians, we do not have the right to question if the actions of a person in authority or any law or judicial decision is in conformity with our fundamental rights. In essence, as long as one is in authority over another, the governed has limited or no rights to question, or request for the obligations of governments to be fulfilled in either his life, or that of his community.
So as long as power remains in a certain region, that region determines your Political status, Economic, Social and cultural development or future.
Meanwhile, the same Constitution in Chapter II titled FUNDAMENTAL OBJECTIVES AND DIRECTIVE PRINCIPLES OF STATE POLICY gives you Rights that has been withdrawn in S6(6)C as mentioned above.
Right to General welfare and security
Right to participatory governance system
Provision of Transportation
Provision of Physiological needs
Right to employment
Conditions of work
Right to health
Gender sensitive rights
Right of the child
Right to public assistance
Right to education, from cradle to grave
Right to a safe environment
Cultural rights
All the presumed Fundamental Rights as listed above are as strange as fictitious mythology told by aliens as we all know that none of us can request for such rights. So the question is;
Why do we pay tax when we cannot hold the government responsible for roads, not to mention the shelter or healthcare that has never been provided by Government? What right does the Nigerian government have to own and acquire our lands when they want to? And Finally—– What rights do the Northerners have to own 85% of the Oil-wells that has desecrated our lands in the Southern protectorate?
The fraud of the constitution that allocates resources from Bayelsa to only 8 Local government in the south and does same to 44 Local governments in Kano or Jigawa? The constitution that permanently without prove allocates far more Wards/State Constituencies/Federal Constituencies to the North than a region is ever considered in the South, thereby always giving the Northern protectorate more seats in the parliament of the fraud called United Nigeria.
The Constitution of Nigeria is designed to either sentence a goat stealer to 21 years imprisonment, or hanged by the neck, while a multimillionaire thief is endlessly charged for corruption and acquitted or worst, sentenced to 6 months in prison for corruption with an option to fine of N200,000.
The Nigerian Constitution, before the advent of Boko Haram, prepared the Northerner for his/her “national service” in the oil rich Niger-Delta region in preparation for mastery in the oil industries, or Lagos where he is prepared for to take-over the private sector, while his counterpart from the Southern protectorate was sent to the deserts of the North to force or redirect his dreams.
These are just some of the fraud in our constitution of the contraption called Nigeria. Its biggest fraud is to claim that “WE THE PEOPLE” that is I and you came together to agree to defraud ourselves. When did we firmly swear to agree on these lies and unholy marriage? A nation with no possibility of progressing. No, not with what binds us together.

Squabbles over legal representation for Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), on Monday, stalled his trial for alleged treason at the federal high court, Abuja. Vincent Obetta, Kanu’s lawyer, who has represented him since the beginning of his trial at a lower court, was not in court, but another lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, who claimed that he had been hired to represent the IPOB leader, showed up.

A mild drama ensued as Kanu’s younger brother, Emmanuel asked Ejiofor to leave, impressing it on him that Obetta was the legitimate counsel of his brother. Ejiofor tarried a while, but left afterwards.

The case, however, did not come up, and Obetta told TheCable that the Kanu family was still trying to sort out issues regarding legal representation for Kanu, who has been in detention since October 14, 2015. On December 23, 2015, Kanu had refused to take his plea before Ahmed Mohammed, justice of the federal high court, Abuja, citing lack of confidence in the court.

This was after Adeniyi Ademola, another justice of the federal high court, Abuja, ordered the Department of State Services (DSS) to release him unconditionally, and after a chief magistrate court discharged and acquitted of charges of criminal intimidation and ownership of unlawful society. Meanwhile, Obetta has refuted reports that Kanu is ill, and that he is being tortured in custody. According to him, Kanu is in high spirits and healthy.
