LadyGuinivere: Erm Sir. What concern sponsor occupation and ties of an applicant? Mbok your conclusion is based on....? F visa. Dat bro aunty can't be sponsoring people on B now |
Travel › Re: USA Visit Visa Part 3 by YankeeJJC(m): 4:20pm On Mar 15, 2018 |
iRyan: yes they have their own ties. No one is too old to be sponsored that is what I am saying on a good purpose not relative sponsoring for a family visit, that's not far from blue paper, @petemail2all advise to him was ryt but we don't accept fault we put blame on someone else, if he gets denied na Soldier go come carry petemail2all for Nairaland |
Travel › Re: USA Visit Visa Part 3 by YankeeJJC(m): 12:36pm On Mar 15, 2018 |
iRyan: that someone is over 18 doesn't mean that they should have millions in their bank accts to afford them travel to wherever they want. He won't be the first person to have someone sponsor his trip. If he has an uncle willing to sponsor him, he should indicate it to the VO rather than lying and complicating issues for himself. My aunty just sponsored her childhood friend who is over 18 years to the U.S. She has sponsored friends and relatives over 18 over the past years. As long as he is able to convince the vo that he doesn't intend on migrating... he will do just fine at the interview the people she has been sponsoring have their own ties tho! Work of the sponsor play a role. Gender and age of the applicant do also, most are females |
Travel › Re: USA Visit Visa Part 3 by YankeeJJC(m): 6:46am On Mar 15, 2018 |
petemail2all: But your uncle shouldn't be sponsoring ur trip except ure under 18. But if ure above and he is, you shouldn't state it. Use self as person sponsoring your trip. the VO will ask "what do u do for a living? " if he doesn't have any work tie to sponsor nko? |

Am trying to schedule interview but at step 8, it is saying ''No valid record can be found for the entered receipt number. Please validate that your receipt number is correct and that you have paid the correct amount for the visa which you are applying for.
Please what can I do? if the number is correct, you have probably exhausted it by cancelling it twice. There's always a warning on the final attempt I think? |

JBL17: Thanks guys for the comments so far. My wife denied 2 years ago before we got married. So her old profile name was in her maiden name. Before they updated her name and new passport number, Ustraveldocs requested for a scanned copy of our marriage certificate and the previous international passport in her maiden name and the new international passport. More to that, affidavit of change of name was attached as well as copy of newspaper with the notice of the name change for the general public. So I can rightly and publicly say that we didn't lie or subterfuge any information or use trickery prior to the interview and during the interview. In fact I still took all of these to the embassy on the interview date as well as our wedding photobook, as well as our travel insurance, accommodation reservation and our itinerary. is your wife having any immediate relative in U.S? Moreover what was her purpose of Trip on her first application? Because ur U.S travel history couldn't overcome |

JBL17: My experience at the US embassy was very pathetic. I've been to the US once and I spent just 3 weeks. And I've renewed my visa once via Dropbox. But k decided to renew my visa this by appearing for the interview with my who was once denied a visa before we got married. Vo: Why are you going to the USA? Me & Wifey: Vacation and Tourism VO: Where do you work? Me: i work at so so so and s as so and so. Wifey: I too work at so so as so so so. Vo: How long have you been married? Me & Wifey : We've been married for so and so. (before the appointment we already sent a scanned copy of our marriage certificate as requested by ustraveldocs for profile update) VO: Have you traveled out of Nigeria before? Me: Yes. I was in the USA four years ago for vacation and spent just 3 hours weeks.( All the while my old passport where my valid visa is was still with me.) Wifey: for me I haven't. I was denied a tourist visa two years ago. Vo: do you have kids? Me: No. We decided not to have kids for now. Vo:smile. I saw that even before you told me. Vo: typed for about 3 minutes. Sorry you are not qualified. You don't have enough ties. Me: Wow! What about my current visa? Does it mean my visa has been canceled or revoked? Vo : Well, I believe it has expired, if it hasn't expired, no need to renew it. Me: I came for the interview with my wife because my travel date is just 2 weeks after the expiration. Vo : Seems shocked or worried. But the decision to refuse has been made. Out of high respect for the Embassy and the Vo, i smiled and walked out peacefully. When I got home I called their customer service and the operator asked if the visa was canceled or revoked, i said No. He said I can still use Dropbox but I shouldn't add my wife to the dependant. I tried using Dropbox, but as usual you have to answer some questions about previous visa and denial. Because I have to be truthful in my answers, i answered that my last interview resulted in a denial. Then I was redirected to schedule an interview. Confused, i called the customer service again. I was told to see the requirements for dropbox on their website. In my cgi profile, i noticed that the status of my application case was "escalated." At the end, I got just a generic email. More confused, i skype ustraveldocs and confirm the current status of my visa. I was told that I can still travel with my current visa that is expiring in 2 months. I don't want to take the risk and end up been questioned by the CBP about my previous denial.
Please sorry house for my lengthy explanation. I feel better after sharing my thoughts with you friends. I will appreciate your thoughts on this. Thanks @Lowoa when I talked about Donald Trump new strict rule for singles and young couple, u quoted "haba". @op ur wife has thesame weak tie to previous application It seem like u can easily start a life in U.S (No child and No enough tie on your wife side). The change in circumstance that might help ur application is taking ur kid along for interview and ur wife have a new strong job. My view |

I was at the consulate today , I saw the way people were denied , I was shocked.
Mine was a bit different.
The consular didn't ask many questions else he was interested in what I do. He was friendly and we even joked.
He told me congratulations, gave me white paper but said my visa might take up to a week because there was a mark that I've visited the US before for studies which I never did.
He also said it happens but they just need to do some checks.
He told me congrats again when I was leaving.

Aphrikanna: so ive taken time to read through this thread again and again and each time, fear would just be catching me. is it that single people between the ages of 22 - 30 cant get visas just because they are not married? or dont have strong ties? plus what strong ties do you guys mean? because the only tie me i have is my job. doesn't pay much but its fulfilling. so how can one now convince the VO that you do not intend to stay in their precious America and is just going for a genuine purpose. Me kukuma dont like America before somebody would shoot me in my sleep. But i need genuine info on what kind of ties a single lady like me can claim to have that would prove i would actually return. mostly work and duties, how engaging your duties are (u won't want to abandon ur company and ur company wouldn't like u to leave). Married men and women are denied even with travel history |
