Really, I thought the V.O said for any changes to happen on your B1/B2 visa you must re-apply.
it depends on the situation, seeing Lover on Visit is allowed (Not the one u already know before your B visa), and either adjusting or Marriage Visa (K1 or K3) wouldn't be seen as Family is trusted or not trusted because everyone is to prove his/her own tie separately. The problem there is that siblings of a LPR or Citizen have a family tie to the U.S, but still doesn't stop them from getting Visa, they only need stronger tie in Nigeria. @HoLEEsinner apply for ur Wedding, the V.O will decide if u are good to go or not, u should have learnt enough from ur last application. Happy Sunday

Lady G, my step brother(not blood related) invited me for his white coat ceremony last year, he has green card but i couldn't fill i have a relative or an immediate with green card since we arent blood related. I'm married with no issue yet, have been to Dubai and Ghana, i was refused, i asked the vo why he didnt say anything.

Now my sister that am immediate to just got her green card and she and her husband(citizen ) wants to invite me for their church wedding, my questions

1. Do i state i have an immediate with green card in my Ds-160 contrary to my previous form where i said no?

2. Do you suggest i apply with my wife with a bank statement around 5m? i applied alone when my step brother invited me.

3. My father is willing to sponsor my trip this time around.
Same Father/Mother name & D*O*B will actually indicate he is your half(Why hiding that).
Don't think of going to greet any of them(church wedding, Ceremony) as purpose, they might not approve u for that reason
You indirectly have 2siblings over there that's a strong tie to U.S.
You are married&Working and your father is still sponsoring. huh Save your money, it won't work.

Instead of having a better change in circumstance on your last application, u carry 1sibling join.

I will advise u to apply only when u have a better reason for visiting U.S, maybe Medical, good Conference, Desire tourist attractions.

Note: anytime u apply, your 2siblings will always be considered when adjudicating abi wetin b d grammar, I pray God grant u your heart desire (Children) so that your family tie can weigh here in Nigeria

Fake visas: U.S. bans female accountant for life

Published 1 day ago on February 16, 2018 By Juliana Francis

…as SFU goes after fleeing uncle

Miss Vivian is just 24 years old, but she is already one of the thousands, if not millions of Nigerians who have been banned for life from setting foot on the American soil.
As a trained Accountant, Vivian could have got a choice job in Nigeria, but she claimed to have been convinced by her uncle, identified simply as Ugochukwu, to attempt to travel to the US. The idea was to travel to the US, get a million dollar job and money would start rolling in; but the plan was not as easy as it sounded.
When Vivian got to the US Embassy, the eagle-eyed white men discovered that all her documents were fake. She had a fake United Bank of Africa (UBA) identity card; she claimed to be a worker with the bank, but ironically, she had never worked in any UBA branch in her life. She also had a UBA bank statement, but that too was fake. The passport she presented to the white men showed that she had a travel history, which was supposed to make her attempt at getting American Visa easier. The travel history stamps on her passport showed that she had travelled out of Nigeria to many countries, including Germany. When some questions about some of the countries she claimed to have visited were put across to her, she failed woefully. She was promptly arrested and handed over to detectives attached to the Police Special Fraud Unit (SFU).
Speaking with our correspondent, Vivian, a tall, pretty lady, had a trapped look on her face.
She was accompanied by her elder sister, who looked worried and desperate. Police told Vivian that she was looking at prison, if she didn’t mention and assisted them to catch the person who prepared the fake travelling documents for her.
Vivian knew she had to choose between saving herself and the person who got the fake documents for her.
The lady, who graduated from Imo State University, said: “It is my uncle that prepared everything for me. He collected N150,000 as payment. I was living in the East when he asked me to come to Lagos that he would assist me to travel overseas. I was staying in his house until my arrest. When I called him that police wanted him to come to SFU, he didn’t say anything. He later said I should go home and pick the key by the window. He said that I should pick my things that were in the house and leave.”
The lady promised to do everything within her power to assist police to locate her uncle.
Speaking on the case, the SFU Public Relations Officer, Mr. Lawal Audu, said: “She went to the American Embassy with fake UBA identity card. She gave herself an identity she didn’t have. She appeared at the American Embassy and tried to obtain visa by deception. She said that her uncle, Ugochukwu, gave her the passport with fake visas and stamps. The uncle collected N150,000 from her. He went with her to the embassy on the day of the interview. When he discovered that she had been found out, he ran away.
“She got herself banned for life. She was arrested at the consulate office. Even when they asked her repeatedly if she had been to Germany before, she kept saying yes. How far could she go with such a false story? She was arrested and sent here. It was when she was brought here that she opened up and confessed that it was her uncle, who wanted to assist her travel to America that packaged the fake visas for her. What kind of assistance was that, especially since he collected N150,000 from her?”
The image maker said that for long, fake visa racket had been on the increase. While urging Nigerians to tap the wealth inherent in the country, Audu said that earlier, a young man, Ogunyemi Raheem Oladipupo, was also arrested for being in possession of fake UK visa.
“The young man’s passport had a fake Heathrow stamp, but he had never travelled out of Nigeria. We always have many applicants with fraudulent documents,” Audu said.
Audu described as saddening, a situation whereby foreigners are rushing into Nigeria to make money, while Nigerian youths are running away from the same country, taking their gifts and talents to other countries.
He said: “The Americans, British, Canadians and Italians know that Nigeria is a great country. They know that as far as Africa is concerned, Nigeria is the greatest. They know of her potential and resources.
“I asked a young man, who was arrested, what he wanted to go and do in the US, he said he wanted to go and work. I asked him who told him there was work in the US, he said his friend. I told him that he could work here; he said no, that he preferred US. Many of them could even set up a business with the money they give to visa vendors. There is no work overseas. Nigerians should bury their pride and do something here for themselves. The same work they refuse to do here is what they travel overseas to do.
“If you want to apply for American visa, don’t go with fake documents. I’m advising prospective visa applicants, do not patronise visa vendors. Sometimes, the visa vendors will fill information, which you do not know about. During interview, the person might be asked a question on the information filled, and the person wouldn’t be able to respond. The interview could be at the point of entry, with questions based on what is filled in the visa document. Some get deported at the point of entry.”
I was staying in his house until my arrest. When I called him that police wanted him to come to SFU, he didn’t say anything. He later said I should go home and pick the key by the window. He said that I should pick my things that were in the house and leave.”

Human being! The uncle commot hand after putting her in trouble cheesy. she should have told the V.O she never traveled to those countries when they Pressurised her on it. It will only cause a 10years ban and not this For life thing, even if she later Turn First Lady of Nigeria(mighty tie) she can't step into U.S? Hmmm.

I guess she started with mixing things up on her job role

Hi, I do not think the problem is with the email. I've tried different email addresses but still got the same response. I decided to twist every detail on my passport and it moved successfully to the next page. This means that someone has used my passport details before on the website. I'm confused because I have never sought for US visa in my life. Please, impersonation is a very serious issue. cry Please, who knows the embassy's hotline so that I can put a call through to them? The feedback form is slow and I'm running out of time.

Good evening house,I have been a silent reader on this group and I had my interview today together with my wife and 2 year old daughter and it was approved. I read the almost 1000 pages constituting this thread religiously and researched extensively, lol. All in all,it was the Grace of God.

It was the 10:45 appointment and there were so many people there.

VO:Good morning(smiling).

US:Good morning to you(smiling)

VO:Please pass your passports.

VO:Where are you travelling to?

US:Philadelphia and New York

VO:Who is in Philadelphia?Do you have a relative there?

WIFE: My aunt is in Philadelphia even though we only intend to spend the Easter weekend with her as we will be staying in a hotel for the remainder of the vacation.

VO:Where do you work?

WIFE:I work with the **** of Nigeria as a ***** where I carry out (so and so)responsibilities and all her duties.

VO:How much do you earn?

WIFE:I earn 1***** thousand naira but I am paid **** as upfront, also **** as bonus and ****as allowances.

VO: Have you travelled before?

WIFE:Yes I have travelled to Togo for *****,also travelled to Dubai for my wedding shopping and lastly travelled with my husband to Dubai in 2015 after we were denied our US visa.

At this juncture, I came in as it was my wife that had been answering all the questions and me I wanted to talk small join, lol.

ME: I also work with ****** as a Federal Prosecutor where on behalf of the FGN I prosecute **** and ***** cases.

She stops at this juncture, looks at us,smiles and said"you both work in interesting places".

We both smiled back and wifey quickly added that:

WIFEY:His(me) job is even more interesting as he has an appeal in a case that was reported by the US govt in May.

Me:I also prosecute visa ****cases.

VOsadnodding her head)How long have you both been doing these jobs?

WIFE: 4years and 2months.

ME: 6 years this year.

VO:Continues typing for a long time and picks up the white envelope, circles a part and informs us that our visa has been approved.I didn't hear the rest, just couldn't wait to be out of the place, lol.

I learnt from Lady G here and other sources that you should always emphasize your strong ties and that's what we did.We spoke confidently about our jobs because wifey and I rehearsed on likely questions and satisfactory answers to them many times.

My observation on this trend is that we can be more diplomatic and courteous in responding to the questions of others without necessarily making them look stupid or being outrightly insulting.I have observed in trends from other countries that even when the intention of an applicant is manifestly illegal, they don't prosecute and jail them on those trends but they correct and pass their messages decently. We can be more civil to our fellow country men even when they are wrong.Thanks.
congrat. "you both work in interesting places" wink
