We were even thinking he would have a better opportunity since he's a student in one of the government universities so he has stronger ties. My dad may just sponsor the entire trip for the whole family but we just wanted to calculate our chances since we were all playing a role at the wedding. guess we'd just hope and pray for the best

Good day all. I have been a silent follower for a long time now. I appeared at the Lagos embassy today(8am). I would upload my transcript soon but I need some clarifications.
1. I applied for a 2 weeks certificate program in a university in the USA but I was just given an acceptance letter and payment confirmation and not an i20. I applied for the b1 category. after a drilling of about 6 mins, the v.o was satisfied with my answers but she maintained that she wasn't satisfied with me applying for a b1 instead of an F1.
2. I made it known to her that the international course adviser informed me that due to the nature of the program, I would need to enter the USA on a b1 status as i20s aren't being issued for the short program.
3. she however said that she was going to find out as she wasn't sure but she gave me the white paper, retained my passport and asked me to wait for a mail.
4. she didn't say anything as to whether my visa was approved or not as I took my leave.
Gurus in the house. please help out. thanks in anticipation.

what kind of white paper? Read it na. Is it Collection or administrative process. All I can see here is ur being lucky, another V.O would have sent u back because a genuine school issue i-20. Wetin remain? Let God Take control so they don't see any reason not to issue u d Visa. -Prayer is d key, there is nothing u can do ma/sir

F visa is a different Non-Immigrant visa with different adjudication. B doesn't affect F. But F and H affects B

the cancel I meant was the previous application before interview. Having a family now is a plus

in 2011 myself and my brothers went to apply for a visiting visa, but before then my mum had been going regulaly, so she took to us to apply but when we got to the embassy i was told i couldnt do the interview with them cus i just clocked 18, so i had to do the interview alone and i was denied but my brothers were granted a visa that same day cus they were with my mum. so i applied again when i was 21 and i was denied again. but my fam have been travling to the u.s for years nw without me. but i am planning on applying next month for a visit visa. right now i am 25yrs old with a good job. been working in my company for 2years now but single with no kids. and i earn pretty much good from my working place. now my question is what are my chances of getting a visa? NOTE: i already have travel history been to the uk twice, dubia, malaysia and southafrica. i just really want to be sure of my chances again before applying? does my age affect me from reapplying?

Age matter too. Once u are 18 u should have something doing, once u are 30 u should have nuclear fam! *what I read ni.
Your previous application always play a role on your new! If your previous purpose was to go visit a family member, it will always be in your file that u have a family in US under family ties. Highlight your duties and points down before interview so u don't miss any and talk in full. A good job without full details of it to VO seem amateur under Professional.

that's immigrant. let me tell u d little I read/know. (Prove of courtship "printed chats and together pics if u have", explain how u met, and be ready to answer ur current work/school in Nigeria, and if already married to d petitioner ur marriage cert. School cert too) finally ask V.O on it.

VO: asked if we have traveled before ask a family
I said no but my mom and my kids sister went to UK last year.
VO: returned my passport and approved my kids visa
We: asked why and VO said I’m over 18 and under there law i’m allowed to apply alone
And I can apply alone by myself.


I’m just a computer science student in a school in Republic of Benin
The only travel history is one secondary school excursion to Ghana
No wife or kids
Everyone in my family are U.S.A visa holder apart from me
What can I do house

Since u will tell VO about having a travel history, go along with the former(hope it's genuine).
Why Change in marital status? Did u divorce ur wife or agent level?

Plz what could be happening i was told to rebook my appointment on Thursday as i couldn't go in for interview on Monday but when i long in they are yet to reverse my receipt number

maybe u submitted a new ds-160 completed less dan 3days to ur interview date. it will work

the VO suspected the fellow she visit in uk or her boss is her boyfriend, he didn't bother on she being single or married. Appearance matter but not smell ooo

@AZUH which one odour again? if u like buy $1000 perfume. The VO is protected by a glass. He can perceive anything. "Purely Official relationship" the VO never went too deep the way she took it. He didn't bother to ask if u are married or single.

I have been denied US visit visa 3time I just applied again and my interview is next week and I need your advice.

Am 30, single and work in a bank as a computer Engineer with good pay av been to S.A, Kenya and Ghana before.

But here is the issue I applied using an agent in 2016. He advise me to use Married as my status which I did and was denied making it the 3rd denial
now I have an invitation from a friend who is a citizen and has sent the invitation in addition her passport data page.

I filled single on my ds160 form changing my status from married to single with the intention of correcting the mess that agent already created for me.

Please what are my chances of getting the visa as I want to come out clean this time.

married before now Single na reverse in circumstance, u would have overcome that but your travel history is weak(S.A no b strong travel history to dem anymore) Do u have family over there? that's another thing. What's your friend route to U.S (is it Single convert B to LPR now citizen)? Why must u visit your friend and not just tourist centres? Sit yourself and analyze yourself, was your job weak to them on your last application? What has changed or what do u want to include. if u are applying with same Job be ready to talk like a Pro on your job. They deny people on that

Yes, i have started MBA in Nigeria, cause i have both B.Sc and M.Sc in agricultural economics, i need the MBA for my career cause the two degrees i have then cant get me to a higher position in my place of work. But we are just going for vacation now.

I will advise u to let your wife and kids go alone, or wait till you r tru with MBA, or let the VO know u are also having ur MBA at so so or travel elsewhere. Anyone

the VO will check what u intend studying before on F and see on your new B application if u have moved on on studies. They assume alot. the VO might assume that there is possibility u will stay to study in US since u have the intention. Have u moved on?

In my mind I said oh my God.

My wifey is a smart woman. I told her interview is not just about smartness but preparedness. I even told her what to say if same question is asked but she said she was nervous and a bit lost. All The same thanks to the gurus in the house.

This V.O no good ooo! He played game with u, do u know they don't check Bank statement on tourism? He actually checked to see if u could afford to give birth during the middle of the Interview, now later threw the question at u, after ascertaining that Your statement can't sponsor birth.Their new rule of giving birth is that u must have $30,000+ budget for it.and also not go broke on it. a No to that would have saved u from 214(b).

Don't blame madam, no matter how prepared u are, Some questions are unprepared for, nobody is perfect.

please i need your candid advise, I wish to relocate to US with my family(myself, wife and 2 kids) i have a brother in US who want to give me an invitation to spend my vacation with him but he is saying I'll come alone first on a vacation and get back to Naija then ill reprocess for myself and family. that I should get a letter of introduction from my employer and prepare my statement which is not a problem at all.

But a friend here in Naija is saying its not normal like that since am married, Tourist (family) is the best option to go with fams or Study (if am going alone) i.e I'll get there and later arrange how to move family.

My question now is which option do you think has d higher chance of getting the visa coz am confused

B visa is Non immigrant, Seek genuine immigrant adviser so u don't end up Hanging with your family through B ( So many Nigerian families can't come back). USCIS don't joke with planned Immigration.
