“No Way, ABHA Members Reject Planned Purchase Of Innoson Vehicles For Them By Gov Otti”
July 25, 2023 admin

By NewsCritic Reporters

Abia State House Of Assembly Members will not accept Innoson Motors as official vehicles from the Gov Alex Otti led administration, according to some lawmakers who spoke to our reporter on the condition of anonymity.

There have been speculations that the state governor Dr Alex Otti is planning to buy the Innoson brand of vehicles for the 24 members of the house of assembly as against the Toyota Prado which were the choice vehicle for the 7th assembly.

Already Gov Otti has bought the INNOSON IVM G6T TURBO SUV for the members of the state executive council of Abia state, which was distributed to them immediately after their swearing-in as official vehicles.

It was gathered that the Labour Party, LP, Presidential candidate Mr Peter Obi had made a request that Gov Otti should patronise Innoson Motors if it is the only thing, he can do for him apart from fulfilling his campaign promises to the people of Abia State in terms of good governance.

However, close sources within the Abia legislative assembly disclosed that the members are not willing to have or to accept the IVM brand of vehicles from Gov Otti, who is said to be determined to please Mr Peter Obi, as their official vehicles.

According to sources, the Abia lawmakers are of the opinion that the Gov Otti should allow them to have the vehicles of their choice and not to offer them IVM as if they were his appointees.

“He can’t even contemplate giving us IVM brands of vehicles because we are not his commissioners”, said one of the lawmakers.

Again, they argued that it will be out of place for the governor to equate them with his political aides, considering the fact that they contested in the same election along with him and actually helped in his election.

In conclusion, they said they will not take Innoson vehicles if the governor goes ahead to purchase them. The implication of this according to analysts is that the governor might be heading for a showdown with members of the state assembly over the type of vehicles that is due to them.

RhinoChest:
I created this topic because Niger and Nigeria get mixed up when described by their adjectives; Nigerian and Nigerien.

Do you think Nigeria should change its name for branding purpose to avoid the mix ups?

If you support the notion, what name would you suggest?

Eledumare is my choice. Beautiful sounding and Yoruba word for God.

Inawutaoku…..Yoruba/Hausa/Igbo word for fire. Every Nigerian has a burning passion

I want to thank u guys for being proud of who u are.

We are the strongest and ever resilient people to have ever been seen in Africa. Do not allow the hate and ignominious comments here to make u think less of yourself.

We are the smartest tribe in Africa and the richest u can ever get anywhere on the continent of Africa. If we were not igbos I wonder what God what could have made us to be but non the less,we are not lazy people.

While they keep hating us,pls keep hustling and speak proudly of your achievements and let those who will be encouraged be encouraged and those who hate progress keep hating us.

Igbos means being resilient, strong, ambitions and courageously focused. Don't forget that,we are unstoppable in pursuing our goals so,don't feel less of yourselves.

Remembered, the Jews are hated by her neighbours so also would the igbos be hated for what we are ,what we stand for and belief.

Let us stand strong, help one another and ķeep everyone one going strong inspite of the Ebolic economy we are all facing today.

Good luck to all of u.

Fake news alerts
Ikaeniyan0:
Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has vowed never to forgive anybody still enforcing the sit-at-home in the Southeast.

Kanu said those enforcing the sit-at-home are indirectly working against my release.

He lamented that the sit-at-home was hijacked by oppressors to render the Southeast desolate.

Kanu disclosed this during his routine meeting with his legal team-led by his Special Counsel, Aloy Ejimakor.

Tweeting, Ejimakor wrote: “Any person or group of persons using my name, the name of IPOB or ESN in fundraising without my direct and express authorization is committing a crime with my name and I will deal with such a person, regardless of his place of residence.

“The details of Economic Empowerment Day (EED) are very comprehensive and I will personally unveil such details once I am released.

“The idea of endless sit-at-home has been hijacked by our oppressors as a means of rendering our land desolate and forcing our people to migrate out of our lands. They have, through enforcing the sit-at-home in Southeast, gerrymandered Igboland to now exclude the Igbos in Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Kogi, Rivers, Edo, Delta and Benue.

“I will never forgive any person or group of persons still insisting on, and enforcing sit-at-Home. I take it that such a person is merely using my name to indirectly work against my release.”
