I am a lawyer, and I have thrashed 2 doctors in court for this. Most doctors are ignorant of a patient's right, that's where their problem starts. The female patient has the right to ask for a female doctor, even if the male is qualified to attend to her. She has the right to return to the same male doctor she rejected yesterday. The doctor has no right to a)deny here medical care today because she refused him yesterday b) send a sick patient out of the hospital.
