Forgiving others don't make you religious or make you forget, it's just part of being human and I'm not religious by any stretch. Getting over it and the rage he talked about is from the fact that he hasn't forgiven her. With true forgiveness he will have peace and the rage will disappear. He will be doing himself a big favor by letting go or he can let you help keep him in an emotional rollercoaster rather than start the healing process he needs to get on with his life.

Those salaries are not too much if they work for good companies, the companies make money but cheat employees. I know a 29 year old in cyber security that's making $140,000/yr + $30,000 bonus and still talking about asking for $180,000 + $50,000 because of the load of his job. Of course taxes eat about 35% of it and then bills, but that's a really good pay according to what I'm hearing, though I've heard some people say they make $400,000 which I doubt. He just built a new system for a company that was just purchased after it came out of bankruptcy, I believe he will get the money since hiring someone else will cost them more.
