I feel sorry for the Yoruba who still don't know what igbos represent in their life. I especially feel sorry for the simps marrying them, you are the ones sleeping with the enemies in real time. Lagos has been in the eyes of igbos since the time of Zik and that was the reason they suspended the nice regional govt system that we had to the dog-eat-dog kind we now have.

That Atiku is talking about it does not mean he will "restructure" whatever that means. Atiku hasn't said anything about taking the country back to the regional system. Every region will have its own problem just like every family does, but it will be manageable. That's why it's important to be with people of the same culture, tradition and language, people with the same values will agree on most things. Minorities of the former West and later Midwest got along better when they before the original system was suspended, that was why they agreed to go together, the structure of Nigeria today is what is causing problems between them. The regions can then create as many states as they want since they would be funding it by themselves. But i can bet anything that there won't be more states created once every region is taking care of itself, the nanny system of Abuja is what is driving more states creation. It's like a case of two poor couples of the same background that one is getting N1million every month and the other is working 12 hours everyday to bring home N50,000 to survive, which one can afford to have a baby and bring in relatives to to stay with them? That's how life is in Nigeria, the system is not encouraging regions to do well. Going regional system of govt will make the regions of Nigeria compete with hidden resources. If Nigeria can start by having police serve only in their home regions and then fix eletricity problem, Nigeria would change in 3 years. With good security and electricity, people would back home with their money and set up businesses.
Maazieze:
The only candidate ive heard talk of restructuring the states according to the 6 geopolitical states is atiku, i havent heard any even talk about shifting to parliamentary government. Also when i described lagos as globalised i didnt intend to imply it wasnt part of yoruba land, i meant that it was such a large center of trade it is important from a global perspective like tokyo or florida.

On another point of discussion, what if their are disputes within either of the 6 geopolitical regions, especially those that arent composed of any majority ethnic nationality, we would still get the calls of state creation that lead us where we are. Mayhaps if the 6 regions have a fair system of internal conflict resolution. Another pet peeve of mine with the nigerian governmental system is "regional rotation", optimally it should be whoever best appeals to better the country regardless of tribe, but the electorate is ethnically/regionally polarised and demand some arbitrary rotation of seats regardless of the candidates actual qualifications, since its not a rule of the constitution and cant be enforced their is bound to be tension amd conflict as people feel left out of the "national pie" like as if the country exists simply just to be looted undecided

Save your energy, we are still waiting for DeSantis to declare first. Right now he's 50/50, that picture is probably from the fake news media and not something Trump would post, it's a nothing burger. DeSantis can only declare one thing and that's the end of his political career which Trump helped him to get in the first place.

Democrats needs war on the streets of America, they want to use these guys as street fighters, rumors have it that they were training them on hiw to take guns feom people and guerilla war. I don't know why the name Yoruba triggers these people who have benefited most from what Yoruba have offered the world. If you go to any Filipino message board, all you will see is in their language 97% of all the comments there. Nigerians are insecure, so speaking English make them feel better about themselves.
Occurstaem:
Haters of anything Yoruba won't cease to amaze me sha. Look at them up there exhibiting their crude foolishness and bigotry.

The trainer in the video clearly stated that
"I want to use Yoruba to speak to my dog. Just as we know that the British, French and Germans use their language to speak to their dogs, we can as well use Yoruba to speak to our dogs and they will respond."

If you don't understand Ede Yoruba you should've at least politely request someone who understand it to transcribe it for you instead of displaying your idiocy openly.

Yoruba is spoken on a platform owned by Yoruba and you have a problem with it? Before you die of seeing the name Yoruba, know that we can tell if you yourself understand your language, you would have brought it here. Since the name Yoruba is going nowhere, you are going to live one excruciating life.

Politics › Re: Is Their Any Hope For The Country by ycat:
Tinubu as an elected president has all it takes to reverse the unconstitutional system put in place by dictators that suspended the original constitution and system of govt. 3 regions system was convenient at the time before it later became 4, the only reason it wasn't 6 at the time was that only Yoruba allowed the minorities midwest to leave. Igbos and the north refused to let their minorities go. So it's a good thing that we now have the 6 geopolitical regions. I guess you can't stop people from leaving when they make up their minds. States or regions can't stay on feeding bottles forever, God has given every nation something for survival and people just have to look inward rather than panhandling. There are many countries with no oil but use what God gave them to bring in the money they need. There's no such thing as globalized Lagos, it's some people's homeland. All states don't have to be like Lagos, regions just need to create the enabling environment for people to come. Some claim to be industrious in Nigeria, nothing stops them from turning their land to manufacturing hub of Africa. The people with expanse of land can feed the world through agriculture. In my own, ive been saying it forever that Yoruba should bulldoze all the concrete slabs in Lekki/Ajah all the way to Epe, replace them with palm trees and turn it to a resort paradise in addition to other resources like our waterways. Parliamentary system is the govt all multi-ethnic countries all over the world use, including the Britain that created Nigeria, even Ghana because that's how different cultures and tribes can be truly represented. Nigeria is a fake country that won't last forever and the earlier people start looking to use what they have in their land rather than waiting for free money, the better shape they will be.
Maazieze:
What incentive does tinubu have to reverse the constitution? And what of the issues of the 3 regions? I i know the states currently as they are, are so small they cant effectively produce revenue unless their oil producing or a globalised city like lagos.(the states themselves lack constitutions so the affairs of LGAs are often at the whim of the state government).
Idk how well the parliamentary system works as im not knowledgeable so ill look it up later.
Politics › Re: Is Their Any Hope For The Country by ycat: 5:44am On Feb 07, 2023
Structural problem is what Nigeria has. No country can be successfully run with everything centralized, tribal people can't be ruled like immigrants. Nigeria is not going to survive the problems ahead if a president like Tinubu does not swing into action immediately and bring back the 1962 constitution with just a single amendment to remove queen Elizabeth's name wherever it's found.
Maazieze:
Regardless of who wins the coming elections, is nigeria's current tsunami of crisis even salvageable? Buhari seems to be in a competition to sink the country even worse then were GEJ left off, the political elite seem content with carrying on their usual practice of chop and quench while the average nigerian deals with economic maladies that will even scar their unborn grandchildren. The population itself just seems ignorant and desperate, even working against their own interests when the elite drop a few crumbs to sate the hunger they've imposed on the country. How can any of the candidates we have even approach thishuh

Zelenski is literally asking NATO to use nuclear weapon on Russia because they know they can frame Russia for it. He called for nuclear strike and then left the country with the rest of his family.

I told you, Zelenski will either die in prison if he steps foot in Ukraine after this or exiled.
