Family / Why Do Old People Cough by yebarbie(f): 2:52pm On Sep 30, 2008
Why do old people cough most of the time? is it that coughing comes along with old age, or they do it unconsciously or do movie makes exaggerate this?

Literature / Re: Your Favourite Comics? by yebarbie(f): 10:50am On Sep 19, 2007
I like Archie but my favorite is Buster's diary. Does anyone know it? Am surprised no one has mentioned it. I think it's the best.
TV/Movies / Re: Desperate Housewives. by yebarbie(f): 2:09pm On Sep 13, 2007
I really like the show and think I am addicted to it. I have finished watching seasons 1,2 & ten episodes of season three.
I have repeated seasons 1 & 2 many times over.
About the characters, This is the order in which I like them:
I really like Gabrielle. She is extremely beautiful. I also like her attitude.
I also like Bree. I like her perfectionist nature and she is also fine (but not as fine as Gabby)
Although Susan is all so clumsy, I still like her a bit.
I do not like Lynette at all. She is over assertive and too controlling.
I don't like Eddie too.She is a slut without apology.

adamaku:

my dear, i work in a call centre as well and i beg u in Gods name.take first bank.
Couldn't you have been a little bit more precise and tell him why?
From a lay mans perspective I would have chosen celtel because I think the pay is better and they work for shorter hours.
I know people who work in call  centres and I think they enjoy it.
Celebrities / Re: Most Fluent English Speaking Nigerian Actor by yebarbie(f): 10:47am On Jul 24, 2007
The Nigerian actor that speaks the best English is definitely RMD.
If I score him 95%, The next person after him scores 70.
I also agree that Olu and Joke talk well and also Bimbo Akintola.Liz Benson talks very well too.
As for those that mentioned Jim Iyke and Dakore, we are not talking about fake accent here.
Family / Re: Rate Of Father's Death by yebarbie(f): 6:13pm On Jul 03, 2007
I don't know where olufidu got his statistics from but I think he is very correct.
I actually started noticing this some years back.
Though my own dad is still alive, I notice that most of my friends that I just met, during NYSC and my past and present place of work have lost their dads.
It got to the point that one of my colleagues was talking about her dad and I said 'you have a dad?' I quickly apologized and said I was mixing her up with some one else.
Food / Re: Fork Or Your Hand, When It Comes To Solids? by yebarbie(f): 5:02pm On Jul 03, 2007
I use fork only without knife. I have been using this since I was young and I am so used to it.People complain when I do this but its so convenient for me.
Another reason why I use fork is because I have long finger nails  on  both hands.
Food / Re: Indomie Noodles With 'Ugu' Leaf by yebarbie(f): 4:50pm On Jul 03, 2007
I think its ok. There is nothing wrong with eating pasta and leaf. Its just about sprinkling a little bit on top of the meal not pouring enough to make soup.

TV/Movies / Re: Muna Obiekwe by yebarbie(f): 6:11pm On Jun 15, 2007
There is  nothing too tapping about the guy. He is just there. He is too 'yellow' for my liking and I don't dig yellow men.
The first  film I saw  him in was not man enough and I have had that impression about him ever since.About his dressing, I think its just average.

Fashion / Re: Women With Hair Under Their Chins (how Do You See It) by yebarbie(f): 8:42am On Jun 01, 2007
It is actually disgusting to see hair under womens chins. It is very unfeminine. Whenever I see it I always wonder how they feel comfortable with it especially Ibo women (no offense intended) Whenever i feel hair under my chin even before it becomes visible, I pluck it out with a tweezer. if one uses shaving stick, i grows back in matter of days.
Fashion / If You Were Told To Use Only One Item Of Makeup What Will It Be? by yebarbie(f): 12:08pm On May 11, 2007
Hi all makeup addicts. If you were ever told that you can use only one item of makeup as you are going out, what will it be? I mean only one:foundation, powder, eye brow pencil, eye liner, eye shadow, mascara, lip liner, lip stick, lip gloss or blush. As for me, I will take eye liner. I just can't do without lining my eyes. it gives me a different look when I do. How about you?
Fashion / Re: What Range Products/ Colours Is Ideal For A Dark-skinned Person by yebarbie(f): 11:46am On May 11, 2007
You can try black radiance products. They are made specifically for black women.
As for colour, grey eye shadow is the best colour for dark women. Golden is also ok.Just make sure it is used minimally. Remember it is called eye shadow not eye colour.
As for lip stick I think dark colours are the best. Avoid colours like pink, grey, blue, gold etc.
Nairaland / General / Re: Do I Look Like Beyonce? by yebarbie(f): 12:19pm On Apr 26, 2007
Well, sofine5, you might actually look like beyonce in real life it is possible. But that is not your picture you put there. Anyone who believes it is yours is a big fool. (take a look at the hair and make up)
I double dare you to post a full lenght picture where you have on an african hairstyle and african attire.
Nairaland / General / Re: What is the most beautiful thing on earth? by yebarbie(f): 6:50pm On Mar 13, 2007
The most beautiful thing on earth is certainly a baby. Either new born or older. Oh my God they are just too lovely. Just watching them in thier innocence and ignorance is enough to give anyone a natural high. I just love them. these are certainly and i repeat certainly the most beautiful things on earth.
Nairaland / General / Re: Those that bear "Segun" by yebarbie(f): 5:55pm On Mar 06, 2007
Its true! I have never been close to any Segun until of recent. My god he loves women!
In less than a week that we meet, he sent alot of dirty texts. (i wish i could post them here)I had to take to my heels on time before i could even discover whether he was stubborn or wicked! grin
TV/Movies / Re: Your Favourite And Most Hated TV Adverts? by yebarbie(f): 5:22pm On Mar 06, 2007
The ad I like the best is the baba blue (i swear i no go do am again) the wedding one is rubbish.
I hate the guiness ad. its dry and depressing.MTN and GLO have very nice ads. I like the glo ad with the  song 'I see Laughter'. The baby they showed at the begining is extremely cute.I also like Sunny Ade's 'call me baby thats my number'.
I also like the MTN 'oh Jerry'.Both the guy and the  babe are good looking.
Harpo, you are almost right. The worst MTN,GLO ad is better then the best celtel ad.
I hate the Harpic ad because she calls it 'apic' throughout.I hate the blue boat milk ad with a passion.very silly and ugly  looking mom, kids and teacher. thats about all i can remember for now.

Food / Re: Exciting Recipes With Indomie! by yebarbie(f): 1:38pm On Feb 21, 2007
Snazzydawn, those recipes are  nice but don't you think that the noodles will get too soft and soggy if you add it first?
this is  how I do mine I really  love it.
Ingridents :
2 packets of noodles
2 medium sized or 3 small potatoes
2 medium sized tomatoes
2 to 3 small pepper
1 carrot
cabage
Onions
2 boiled eggs
Curry, thyme and one cube of knorr chicken

Method :
Slice all the ingredents and dice potatoes. Add in a pot with 1- 2 tablespoonful of oil. continue stirring and addind bits of water so that it does'nt burn. When the potato and carrot is half soft, add little water.put the eggs to boil.
Immediately the water starts to boil, add the noodles.
After one minute, put on low heat and allow to simmer.Peel eggs and slice.
Its ready to serve.

Food / Re: Indomie, Chikki Or O! Noodles: Which One Tastes Best? by yebarbie(f): 12:23pm On Feb 21, 2007
Indomie noodles is nice. When chikki firstly came out, I thought I would'nt like it but when I tried it, it was ok.The spice in it is very wonderful. I use it to cook almost all my meals.
I don't know about O. it looks a bit dry.
Another advantage chikki has over indomie is its size. You can cook only one and be satisfied instead of cooking two indomie.
Celebrities / Re: 'sexiest Woman Alive' by yebarbie(f): 2:10pm On Feb 15, 2007
Well I don't exactly know who the sexiest woman is but I would vote for J.Lo. She has the face, figure and aura. It definately is not Beyonce. I can't stand the girl. they make too mush noise about her and she is aware of it.If she were an African, I would have said she is using jazz. She only has the aura and charisma to be a high class babe.(no figure, she only knows how to twist and turn) her makeup and hair does alot for her. She made Kelly and Michelle look like plain Janes.
I also vote for Vivica Fox and Tyra Banks. Both are absolutuly beautiful and sexy
Ushergurl, that Pic of Alicia is so breathtaking.I had to gaze at it for a looooong time. I will save it thanks

Fashion / Re: Where Can I Do Nice Dreads? by yebarbie(f): 12:04pm On Feb 12, 2007
Thank you all for your replies. As for you diyob, you could still do dreads inspite of the lenght of your hair. I think the only problem is the permed hair. you have to wait until the hair gets'due'. Long dreads are also very nice.
