Yeemmy: My PPR dropping this week✍️ PPR ALERT Application submitted: May 7 Biometrics completed: May 17 Request letter: May 14 Responded via webform: June 1 Responded via NSE platform: July 5 (uploaded Letter of Explanation with letter of English proficiency, and updated personal bank statement). Upfront medicals: June 1 Medicals passed: June 7 BVL: September 1 PPR: September 3 Documents submitted: CV Recommendation letter from my academic supervisors (1st and 2nd degree)—Both hammering on the need of my proposed PhD program and how it would greatly benefit Nigeria. Certificates and transcripts. Letter of support from my brother (He expressly noted the amount he transferred to my account, 2M). Letter of Attestation from my parents. Picture with my parents (recent). Land documents (Agreement). POF: Funding Letter. Personal bank statement (4 months, with history of 3M). Brother’s bank statement (4 months, foreign account). Brother’s pay slip. The wait was really daunting and exhausting. At some points, I was overwhelmed and doubting my application - It was after I submitted my application I join this thread, then, I began to raise webforms and SHOOTING EMAILS to Nairobi to further fine tune my application based on the recommendation and advice from the gurus here. More so, I PRAYED AND FASTED so that the VOs should overlook my mistakes As at this time last year, I cant imagine that I could be at this level, in fact, I was about giving up on scholarship after receiving several love letters from Professors. Then, I give it another trial this year—I am heading to UBC for a PhD program with funding. (B.Tech 2014; MSc 2019). To God be thy glory. Great is thy faithfulness. To all PPR Hopefuls: You will get it very soon by the grace of God—Your labour will not be in vain. The mercy and the favour of God will envelope your application. God in His infinite mercies will cover your mistakes and color your efforts. The joy will go round. We all testify to the goodness of God and his name will be magnified. He will surely come through for everyone. He’s a faithful God: He thou has promised; he’s faithful and will make it happen very soon. It is well! Thank you Everyone, God bless you WHAT GOD CANNOT DO DOES NOT EXIST!!! |

Frankrobbn1: Apologies for this is coming late, my schedule has been very hectic and tight. Thus, my inactiveness on the thread for a couple of weeks now.
First and foremost, I would like to use this opportunity to officially welcome you all to the Canadian Student Visa Thread PART 20. I strongly believe that this new phase of the thread would bring postive changes on various applications and many shall share their success stories.
Secondly, I want to take this medium to invoke the power in the name of Jesus Christ and speak in life into every TRV applications awaiting response from IRCC. Today, I come with the full anointing of the Holy Ghost and I stand as an Oracle of the Most high God to decree and declare that as many of you that are believing God for TRV success, may God in heaven open every closed doors in your life and may the Visa officers at the Canadian embassy be forced to grant you your visas... Brethren, there is no immigration case God can't solve, believe in his word that “He has made everything beautiful in its time.” (The Bible, Ecclesiastes 3:11).
I therefore call forth the heavenly beings (Archangles) to take charge of every applications on this platform and perfect everything that concerns your application this time. This part 20 will be filled with lots of testimonies and success stories in Jesus Name!
If you believe strongly in the grace of God Almighty, as you punch on the LIKE BUTTON, may heaven intervene in your case and may your application find favour in the sight of the visa officer. As you shout the loudest AMEN!, may it come to perfection in Jesus name!.
Your Case is settled forever... Go and Rejoice for your success story is near.

Esom16: So here is my timeline and story. 2nd time applicant. Previous rejection was based on financial assets and my dad was my sponsor but he had like 3m balance as at then sha. February 13th,2021: Reapplied using my Dad's brother (uncle) as my sponsor. February 25th: NSE request came in . It requested mbs and IELTS. I already had TOEFL and I honestly didn't want to write IELTS neither did have that funds sef. So I took time contemplating on whether to respond or just ignore. And also my uncle had travelled back to Europe and I didn't know how to start disturbing him again for MBS when I had already stressed him with the documents and account statements he had provided already.it even delayed his travel plans sef. Omo! Sha, I responded with mbs (after I wrote my uncle one long message pleading for his help just this last time for mbs and explained what Mbs was to him cuz the whole mbs thing was still new then) and then a letter explaining the IELTS equivalent scores of my TOEFL result. (I got the comparison from ETS website sha and the idea from a certain moniker here. I've forgotten his name.). I submitted finally March 22nd or so. March 25th: They started reviewing my additional documents and all.
Since then...Radio silence......
Raised webforms and sent emails and nothing.
Decided to book upfront medicals for June 8th with IOM Abuja so that I'll know I'm not the one owing IRCC.
June 10th: Medicals updated to passed And eligibility started that same day. It was a relief. However, another radio silence again.... Ofcourse webforms and emails...but then nothing. July 2nd: Ordered GCMS notes July 15th: Ghost Update but then my eligibility that had already started went back to "we will send you a message when we start reviewing your eligibility" (sobs)...I was like what is all this kwanu. Who did I offend. Anyways. July 28th: Ghost Update. My eligibility started again. August 5th: GCMS notes landed. Nothing substantial was there. My eligibility was blank and no preassessment notes. I weak . August 9th: I emailed 5 MPs in my province. 2 responded positively offering to help. I sent them my details. August 10th: 1 MP responded telling me everything is looking positive with my application and if a decision is not made by the end of next week, I should let him know. I use that one get small hope but not too much hope. The other MP gave me a generic response from IRCC on August 13th. No hope. August 16th: I couldn't hold on anymore with the scarcity of PPR. And I just wasn't prepared for fall semester again somehow so I deferred. My new admission letter for Winter was sent. August 18th: 7:16 am...PPR dropped!!!.
During all this, I prayed, prayed my rosary like never before, fasted too join. Got tired of praying at some point but what else do you think can solve your problem ..it's only prayer oo. So I continued. Yesterday night, I told God, me I yaff tire oo but anything wey He wan do, make He do. No problem. But I haff tire. And this morning He put a very big smile on my face and tears of joy on my face. This experience thought me patience and faith on another level. Because the truth is my application is not superb o. The documents I submitted only God knows. I didn't submit my personal account (I lost my job in December), my uncle didn't send any money to my account and I only paid tuition deposit (my dad paid). I didn't submit any affidavit. And also with MBS I had no idea if there was lump sum or if there was no lump sum. I tried asking my uncle if there was and he was like I'm a business man what do your expect ..omo. lol. So my fear was massive. But I sha just kept believing applications are just different. God will do magic and miracle for me. Omo I thank you all. Everybody for the contributions made here that helped me refire. Im really grateful for this platform.
Documents submitted for proof of finanace 1. Uncle's statement of accounts. 5 different accounts ...I know lol i was even scared I spoilt the whole thing by adding 5 accounts (2 business,2 personal and 1 domiciliary) 2. Uncle's CAC 3. Family tree 4. Letter of sponsorship from my uncle 5. My dad's birth certificate where his parents full names were stated. 6. My Uncle's change of name affidavit where his parents full names were shown because he has a different surname from my dad but were born of the same parents (very complicated sha) but explained in my LOE. 7. My Uncle's driver's license. 8. Picture of my uncle and dad and other siblings with parents 9. Picture of me, my uncle and his wife.
Don't give up. God is still God. And those still hoping on PPR, I pray God comes through for you all. I'm really grateful to God.
But please quick question: this my new winter admission letter, when is the best time to send it to IRCC ..before I send my passport for stamping or after it has been stamped. She they will not take back their visa approval of they see I have deffered
Congratulations!!! |

elenewton1: Application declined 18th August 2021. Timeline: Applicaion submitted April 26th 2021 (PhD with full funding). Also submitted my personal bank statement (not MBS). NSE request May 7. Ignored it and went with normal route. Upfront medical passed june 25th.
Reason for refusal: We are not convinced you will be able to pay the tuition fee. Also, you do no have sufficient finance for your accompanying family member to Canada.
P.S: My full funding covered both tuition and monthly expenses. I also submitted my account statement indicating that I can pay for my miscellaneous expenses. I did not include that anyone is accompanying me. Infact in my IMM form, I specifically selected "no" to this question. Obviously, they did not do a thorough review. I'm awaiting my notes.
Wishing you all the best as you await their response. Haaaa!!!! Sorry about this. Please kindly wait for the note and refire |

funmihero: Hi all,
It’s my first time dropping a message here. I just want to share our timeline to encourage someone as I have been encouraged. Admission: My husband(40years) got a PhD position, Uni. of Manitoba.
Location: Sweden on post-study resident permit as at the time we submitted our application, with 2 kids.
Application submitted: June 13th Biometrics: June 21st Medicals: Not required Visa Approved: July 26th, no update on our applications till approval date
Documents submitted:
HUBBY: Letter of Admission LOE: 6pages, well organized in short topics, with emphases on academic history. We both started our education in Nigeria in a scarce profession (2002) at the diploma level. He finished his first degree at OAU, Ile-Ife, 2010 through DE, we both finished our masters, last year June in Sweden, fully sponsored. He leveraged the non-availability of the course in Nigeria and 95% of African countries (at graduate levels) as a strong link to Nija and Africa and prospect back home. We added links to the latest advert for our profession in academics that there are no qualified persons to fill up. And several other links to how we have been contributing to the development of our profession in Nigeria.
POF: Approximately 65k CAD, account in naira (salary and savings account) and Swedish kronor, CAC certificate of a newly established company (late last year, with no financial transaction), a letter of support from his cousin who committed to offering her basement for our accommodation and a spare car for transportation, no properties, or assets. Certificates: All relevant certificates and the scholarship certificate from Sweden, IELTS, CV. Family document form: All our siblings are still in Nigeria, both sides. IELTS MYSELF LOE: Corroborated our academic history, attached pictures from 2002 and recent family pics. Stated we put our funds together for hubby’s academic pursuit (because I did not make any affidavit for the lump sum I deposited in his account, but I wrote a description in the transaction, stating for “Ph.D. project support”. I mentioned how we have supported each other’s dreams and our successes in completing our masters at the same time despite we have 2 young children. I mentioned that the kids have never lived apart from either of us and we are excited that Canada is very proactive in encouraging family unity. We sha promise to leave the country when hubby’s study is done, etc Certificates: Hubby’s admission letter and all relevant certificates, IELTS, CV Travel history: Studied in India and returned immediately after. Yes, we mentioned that we stayed back in Sweden because we decided to put our family’s health and safety first….corona virus restrictions, etc.
Children: 7 and 4 years, we submitted the basic documents required with no extra attachment.
Above all, God’s grace prevailed. We know we couldn’t prove how we will continue to sustain ourselves, but we submitted in faith. I wish everyone the best in this new month. Congratulations! |
