Politics / Re: First & Second Batches Of Released Chibok Girls Reunite In Abuja by yellow237(m): 4:43pm On May 20, 2017
Ado-Ekiti—Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Bamidele Faparusi have disagreed on the release of 82 Chibok girls by the dreaded Boko Haram insurgents.
Ayodele Fayose
While Governor Fayose described the report of the girls’ release as diversionary tactics to turn attention away from the health status of President Muhammadu Buhari, Faparusi said the release further confirmed that the President has not reneged on his electoral promises to Nigerians.
In a press statement released at Ado-Ekiti yesterday by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Idowu Adelusi, the governor said it had become the pastime of the Buhari Presidency that each time it was under fire for under-performing or had serious issues it could not sufficiently explain to the people, “it resorts to flying dubious kites and selling cheap dummies to distract the people and obfuscate the issue at hand.”
Faparusi, on his own, condemned the statement credited to the factional Caretaker Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ahmed Makarfi lambasting the APC-led federal government for releasing some Boko Haram detainees to bail out the girls from confinement
Faparusi maintained that the comment, which he described as caustic and inflammatory lent credence to the widespread belief that ”the PDP was incorrigibly insensitive and callous to lead Nigeria.
“Right now, a matter of urgent national importance arresting the attention of all and sundry is that of the President’s health. While I continue to pray, in conjunction with other Nigerians, for the President’s quick recovery, I condemn without equivocation this shameless playing on the intelligence and psyche of Nigerians taking undue advantage of the vexed issue of the so-called Chibok girls.”
“It has become the style of this government to distract attention but the truth will be told some day. Which Chibok girls are they talking about? Chibok girls who purportedly were writing Physics WAEC examinations but cannot speak simple English? Chibok girls who were shielded from the media? Till today the media have not been allowed access to the so-called Chibok girls.
“What is not missing cannot be found. Despite the strenuous efforts at cover-up, discerning Nigerians understand that the stories do not add up. When is the next batch of Chibok girls coming? When is the next make-believe? When there is the need for another cover-up, distraction and diversion of the people’s attention and focus, they will fly their usual kite and sell the self-same

Tonye, I concur with your write up. As much as you have condemned the irate Ijaw Youths, I expect you to also condemn Tochukwu and his fellow Igbo ritualist.

As an Ada Igbo myself, I am really troubled with the way Igbo youth are getting involved in Ogwu Ego. This has nothing to do with tribalism. We Igbos should tell ourselves the bitter truth.

You are damn right very right. You know in my earlier comment I sad atimes I wonder why I supported him during election.

There are many things he has done that are not good one of it is the ban on Rice importation. Why must you ban Rice importation when you have not provided for it locally. Why cant the federal Government have Rice farms in the States producing it. When it is suplus then you can ban its importation.

Thats a BIG error on his part. its like he just signs every thing brought to his Table without proper thinking. Thats what Obj will never do.

About his health, Have you ever heard that a serving President in Africa resigned vuluntarily.

Africans are a special breed of humans. We are something else. I see no reason why he cant resign but for ppl like Fayose who wiuld mock him to death doing so.

He would rather die on the throne

Wizhing him to die is something I wont support. Wen its Gods time he will.
well,I c ur point am sorry for our youths who has allowed ethnic and political sentiment becloud their common sense of reasoning

65.COUNTLESS

I smiled at his sentimental message and quickly typed a reply

'only if you'd mind your business instead of masturbating on my issue, am sure one of the women beside you would have given you her number by now, Idiot'

I put the phone on vibration and returned it into my pockets

"your story touches the heartstrings but I don't buy it, how do you expect me to believe that a big boy like you doesn't have a girlfriend?" Favour enquired adjusting a bit on the seat so that her right shoulder was now pinning against mine

"the same way am also wondering how a big beautiful babe like you doesn't have a boyfriend"

"hmmm, impressive, but wait, how do you know that am single?" She questioned with a confused look

"lets just say its one of my many talents" I replied with an arrogant tone

"really, as in you are a psychic or what?"

"nope...lets just say I've been bestowed with a very special ability to read peoples mind"

She opened her mouth agape and stared long in my eyes

"its like you don't believe me" I cleared my throat "well, I can give you a proof, like telling you" I leaned closer to her and whispered "what the driver is thinking right now"

"ok, prove it" She stated with enthusiasm

"he's thinking right now of how he's going to deal seriously with anybody that fail to pay him his money"

"ahahahah, thats a fluke o, tell me another thing, am not yet convinced" She stated sceptically

"I know your type, you don't believe unless you see a gun, anyway, I can tell you what you are thinking right now, if that ll convince you"

"you can tell me what am I thinking right now?"

I took a long deep stare at her beautiful hazel eyes and was totally mesmerized by her astonishing beauty and ritzy outlooks

"still waiting Darous" Favour snapped me out of my lustful gaze on her body

"isn't it obvious? My name has occupied atleast 90% of your homo-sapien C.P.U"

"come on don't be riddi....culous," she said amid chuckles "why would I be thinking of you?"

"your exact thoughts were, 'Gawd I'll be the luckiest woman on earth to have this handsome guy as my hubby, I'll do everything in my power to make sure he's mine. Infact make thunder fire the....driver's left brest if I don't marry this dude" I completed the statement in a whisper which triggered a prolonged hysterical laughter in her

My phone vibrated and I ignored it thinking it was Jide, but when I glanced back he was already asleep

Favour was slowly dropping the laughter. She took out a white handkerchief and mopped her watery eyes

I checked the caller thinking of who could be calling me, and it was Joke

Oh! Sh!t, how do I talk to her without Favour getting suspicious? I cleared my throat and placed the phone on my ear after swiping the call icon to the receiving icon

"hello love, have you gotten there?" Joke's concerned tone queried from the earpiece

"no, not yet, but almost"

"but its almost 9'oclock, thought you said its a 3hrs journey"

"thats when travelling in a G-wagon, not in a snaily Datsun sunny" I replied in an audible whisper

"alright, call me when you arrive your home town ok?"

"sure. Bye" She responded with a 'i love you' but I ignored it and ended the conversation. I put the phone on my laps and glanced at Favour who seems to be less concerned with my call

We were now at the last 'O' of the journey when we ran into another hold up.
A newspaper vendor flashed a Tribune at me and urged me to buy it

"can I refresh it after reading it? Or can it update automatically?" I asked the newspaper vendor as the car was moving slowly at a snail pace

The vendor shot me a confused look and ran after another car

Why should I buy something that can not refresh itself? Waste of money!

"so.." I cleared my throat trying to rekindle our conversation "where is this angel heading to?"

I got no reply, I glanced at her and saw her dozing off. Hmmmm, she must have had a sleepless night, or why is she sleeping inside a car full of strangers?

I was still lost in thought at her beautiful face when she dropped her head on my shoulder and continued her sleep

Wow! It seems she already see's a guardian angel in me, or why would she place her head on my shoulder? I thought

***

We finally arrived at the last 'A' of the journey and the car pulled off at the bustop

Favour and Jide were awoken by the driver.

I got down and approached the nearby gutter to offload my full bladder

Jide already got our luggages and was standing beside the driver waiting for me to come and pay the T.fare

"baba, how much is our money?" I asked the driver while dipping my hand in my brest pocket only to find it empty

"I don tell you say na 7k" the man replied but I was still busy ransacking my pockets for my wallet

"Darous pay the man and lets be going na?"

"Jide, I can't find my wallet na" I said with an exasperated tone

"what!" he lamented and glanced around "Darous where is that lady with you?".

We searched around for Favour but she was nowhere to be found.

You have not made an iota of sense.

Corvering yourself with the blood of Jesus when you are acting like a demon.

Wishing a human like you death because of tribal hatred and because he is old.

All of you should wish Buhari what yould wish your parents.

You have just corvered yourself with the blood of Lucifer. grin

not bad to pray for him but atleast let him go and rest his tired limb instead of gambling with his health and the well-being of the masses
