CrimeMan Disguises As A Mad Man Collects Baby Pampers, To Be Used For Money Rituals by yeman05(op): 11:04pm On Dec 27, 2016
This unholy incident happened in gbagi area of Ibadan. This man has been perceived to be a mad man for a very long time . He pretends in such manner and collects all sort of rubbish from the floor including baby pampers. Unknowingly to residents and commuters, baby pampers was his main target. Until recently when his actions fell on the watching eyes of one of the " agberos" in a near by park, who brought his observations to the notice of his colleagues. And afterwards the "mad man" was challenged and eventually his secrets revealed.. He later confessed that he is not a mad man , that he does that only to make a living for himself. And that it's the work of the devil. If allowed to go he will never return to such act. Pls all wards and guardians should b mindful of where and how we dispose our baby pampers and anything that got to do with body used items, cos these evil doers are desperate and are always working on different means to achieve their motives...

SportsBreaking News: Alan Pardew Sacked As Crystal Palace's Boss... by yeman05(op): 9:34pm On Dec 22, 2016
English Premier League club, Crystal Palace F.C., have asked Alan Pardew to step down as Manager of the Club.

The club, which is sitting 17th on the league table, has had a bad run this season, under Pardew’s leadership.

Club Chairman Steve Parish said, “I would like to put on record our sincere gratitude for the tremendous service Alan has given us, both in his time here as manager and previously as a player.

“Following a fantastic second half of 2014/15, the 2015/16 season culminated in only narrowly missing out on winning the FA cup as well as securing our Premier League place for a record breaking fourth time. During his tenure Alan’s hard work and dedication were without question, he has improved so many areas of the Club and we wish him the very best for the future.”

“With games now coming thick and fast over the holiday period the Club are hoping to put someone in place as quickly as possible but have nothing to say about a replacement at this time.”

The Club has not announced his successor. In a reaction posted on the club’s website, Pardew thanked the club and fans for all the support he got while in charge.

“Personally I have a lot of good feelings for this football Club and am sad that my time there has ended.

“I feel that I have a special bond with the club and hope that hasn’t been affected, I wish everybody associated with the Club the best of luck in the future including of course the fans who have been magnificent,” he said.

InvestmentMmm Nigeria: Deaths, Commotion In Banks Trail Ponzi Scheme Freeing by yeman05(op): 2:29am On Dec 17, 2016
It looked trivial when Marodi Mondial Moneybox (MMM) Nigeria sprang up in November 2015. Barely one year into the scheme, the self-income generating platform, as some participants described it, has become so popular it was being advertised in places of work and worship centres. Soon after, the reality seems to be manifesting, as the promoters suddenly announced the freezing of the programme for one month. How have contributors been reacting to this development? ISIOMA MADIKE in this report also sought the opinion of the medics and clerics on the issue

Ade stepped out of his luxury Range Rover Sport Utility Vehicle radiating opulence. As he walked towards his Omole palatial home in a majestic manner, exuding confidence of some yuppie millionaires to show everyone in his neighbourhood that he has arrived, his mobile phone rang. With the swag of a Nigerian moneybags, Ade picked his call.

What he heard was not pleasing to say the least. He was disturbed and started sweating profusely. He latter fainted and was rushed to a private hospital where he is still receiving treating.

As Ade regained consciousness in the hospital, he tried to inquire if what his friend told him on the phone was correct. “Yes, my brother,” said the doctor handling his case.

“MMM programme has been frozen till January ending. No more transactions until the partial ban is lifted. But, don’t worry; some of us are used to it. They did same last December,” added the doctor who revealed to Ade that he is also a participant. Despite these soothing words from the doctor, Ade, no doubt, has reason to be worried.

Although, he had made fortunes from the scheme, the lure of more money appeared to have pushed him into investing more into the scheme. He had gone out of his pocket to take from his company’s advert money in his care for a bounty returns.

Before the cookie crumbled, Ade had advanced with a total of N21 million into the programme. “What am I going to tell my cr editors? My company? Oh, I’m finished,” Ade exclaimed in astonishment.

Pathetic as his story may seem, Ade is not an isolated case. At the Delta State University, Abraka, a student was also said to have fainted but revived when the MMM news broke.

The “jambite” had invested his school fees into the programme hoping to make quick money that will catapult him into the elite group of the “happening boys” on the campus.

How wrong he was. His, has equally become a misadventure of sort, or so it seems. In Benin, capital of Edo State, a bride to be had also invested the money her groom to be had given her to shop for their coming wedding in the first week of February 2017.

Playing smart, the lady had wanted to surprise everyone by scooping more money to lavish on things not originally budgeted. Her action was not only miscalculated but has thwarted her plans of getting married soon and killed her joy.

Roughly two weeks to his wedding ceremony, a man identified simply as Adakole in Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State, attempted to commit suicide by drinking insecticide after news filtered to him that MMM account was frozen.

The man was said to have invested N300,000 meant for his wedding in the scheme. Saturday Telegraph gathered that Adakole, realising that his hope of smiling home with 30 per cent interest was no longer feasible before the wedding as he now risked losing everything, opted to take his life by consuming the poisonous brew.

A friend of the MMM victim, who refused to be named, told one of our reporters that his friend was still battling with his life at an undisclosed clinic in Otukpo where the incident occurred.

The friend, who said Adakole had called him to confirm if it was true that the scheme had “crashed” before attempting to take his life, also pointed out that he had contacted the fiancée who resides in Abuja to ascertain her state of mind.

When contacted, the Benue State Police Public Relations Officer, Moses Yamu, feigned ignorance as he said his command had not officially received such report.

Also in Warri, Delta State, one person was feared dead while many others were reportedly wounded in stampedes in various banks after the announcement of the suspension of the MMM accounts of about 3.3 million Nigerian participants in the scheme.

The contributors who received the news with shock were said to have rushed to the banks to verify the authenticity of the news. In the commotion, a man who was expected to cash N1.5 million of his investment, slumped and died when he could not withdraw the money.

Two other persons who also slumped in the same manner were quickly revived by sympathisers, while scores of others sustained various degrees of injuries in the melee.

As the drama played out, hoodlums took advantage of the rowdy situation to extort money and robbed customers. Meanwhile, medical experts have been reacting to the seeming confusion of MMM.

One of them, Nwaiwu Iheukwumere, said the devastating effects of MMM’s demise is currently evident in hospitals across the country with respect to the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being of Nigerians.

“Mental homes are beaming with patients of different ages. This, of course, is associated with what has just happened with the MMM scheme. But, what we are seeing now may be small compared to what will happen when the scheme finally collapsed. It’s just a matter of time; it won’t take long before the bubble will burst,” he said.

He, nonetheless, listed other psychological effects to include anxiety disorders. People, according to him, will become anxious while apprehension will grow rapidly.

Anger and rage will also grow and the responses of people to questions will change swiftly. “People are likely to become more vulgar. It will trigger depression, loss of empathy and people will become gloomier.

There will also be loss of appetite and weight, attention deficit as people will no longer be at ease. Forgetfulness and schizophrenia will set in whereby you see people talking to themselves while taking a walk.

“Aside those, there will be suicidal tendencies and cases of murder will increase exponentially in which the fear and respect for God will diminish rapidly.

Blurring to loss of visions will occur as well as vertigo and loss of balance. Above all, heart attack, hypertension, cardiac arrest, and frequent fainting attacks will soon become the order of the day.

If these are not well managed, the result will be deaths and more deaths,” the doctor predicts. Just like Iheukwumere, another medical practitioner, Chinyere Okoro, also believes that many people who are into MMM may come down with High Blood Pressure if the programme crashes.

He said: “If your state of mind is not alright, you might start having traumatic symptoms, you might be purging, sweating profusely. “It does not mean you will die or go into shock; your heart will not stop working because of MMM. The only thing that will happen is that people will lose appetite and lose touch of reality.

If you are not eating, you will lose weight. If you are diabetic or hypertensive and do take your drugs, nothing will happen to you because you are trying to manage it. It’s not like you will run mad. It depends on your state of mind but once your state of mind is affected, you can’t go to your normal routine activity and you will just be depressed,” Okoro said.

However, Bishop Stephen Ogedengbe, founder and head of Evangelical Ministries (Wisdom Chapel), located in Shasha, Lagos, told Saturday Telegraph that this is not the first time things like this will be taken to the house of God. He was reacting to stories of many Christians engaging in the scheme.

Ogedengbe, who likened MMM to money doubling and wonder bank, said that Jesus Christ had beaten up money doublers in His days. “The money doublers are those who are selling gold, soothsayers and those who are doing franchise in the house of God.

The house of God is for evangelism and for salvation. People who are in this attitude and this transaction of MMM, they are looking for magic, not miracle.

So, if you want to be rich, you have to be rich in the Lord and by the grace of God, through hard work and through prayer and genuine transaction. “So, MMM is unrealistic profit and gains.

The arithmetic is simple: it uses the money of A to pay B and B to pay C and C may not even get his or her own money eventually. It is manipulation and distractions. It’s making our nation to be lazier.

We just need to go back to hard work, to creativity, little and smaller trading and entrepreneurship. We need to make our country to work, not sitting down and expecting money doublers who just came to play on the intelligence of Nigerians and vulnerable men and women.” In like manner, Anthony Cardinal Olubunmi Okogie, also called the scheme gambling.

He said it would be unfortunate if Christians who supposed to know better were into it.“It’s really unfortunate that Nigerians are now so gullible to be deceived by mere 30 per cent incentive of some dubious individuals.

“For the pastors that are aiding and abetting the programme, they too are guilty. Or, is it their business to come and be preaching MMM to their congregation? Let people face the consequences of their foolish actions,” Okogie said.An Islamic scholar and lecturer at the Lagos State University, Ojo, Prof. Ishaq Akintola, also said that Islam abhors gambling.

“It’s not allowed.Islam says, verily indeed, it’s intoxicant; gambling is Haram, that is forbidden. The Quran says therefore, stay away from them, from alcohol, from gambling, from game of chance and this is a game of chance.

“In MMM, you put in your money, you don’t do nothing, you just sit down and expecting some money to roll in.I think it’s something greedy elements in society show interest in.

It is very easy to deceive Nigerians because they are always interested in what is cheap. They want to reap where they did not sow. The 419s always target greedy people and if you are in such position, if you don’t eye what does not belong to you, the moment somebody starts telling you about millions, you will tell him, look, I am a government worker, salary earner, I have not gone into business.

So, you can’t be talking about millions. “The moment Nigerians start rebuffing people like that, the society will get better and people would not be cheated so easily.

So, in this business, little amount gathered together by some people is being shared out to a few. Many are robbed to pay an infinitesimal minority maybe five or six people per day but millions are paying in and the directors laugh all the way to the bank every minute. The Quran forbids the amassing of wealth; the accumulation of wealth, greed.

It’s forbidden for Muslims to engage in things like this, it is Haram and the earlier they knew it, the better for all of us.” However, against the backdrop of persistent warnings from government organs to Nigerians participating in the MMM, the founder of the scheme said Ponzi was not a scam.

In an open letter displayed on the page of all participants of the scheme, Sergey Mavrodi, said instead of the government killing the scheme, it should strengthen it to help Nigerians thrive and redistribute wealth.

House of Representatives, Central Bank of Nigeria and Security and exchange Commission, at different times, warned Nigerians, against investing in the scheme, saying doing so is risky.

In spite of such warnings, new converts are going into the scheme. Information on MMM Nigeria website, put the figure of those in the scheme to over three million Nigerians.

And Mavrodi is insisting that MMM was not shady and that all participants were informed of the risks involved at the point of registration. “You say that MMM is bad. Why? Yes, it produces nothing, but nothing gets out of the country either,” Mavrodi said.

“The money is just redistributed among the citizens of Nigeria. It gets from those who are richer to poorer ones, in this way restoring social justice. What”s wrong with that?” He continued: “You say that MMM is a scam.

What is the scam here, if all members are warned in advance about all the risks, the possible and impossible ones? They know there are no investments at all.

The warning is a red text on a yellow background placed on most prominent place of the website.” On November 9, the House of Representatives resolved to probe the scheme after the adoption of a motion moved by Saheed Akinade- Fijabi (APC-Oyo).

“But the scheme’s structure, operations and intendment indicate otherwise as their clients can have multi-level structures under them and receive a bonus (in p e rc e n t – age) from each f i n a n c i a l transaction of every participant in their structures,” he said.

He added that the scheme entered the country this year, by capitalising on the high level of unemployment and poverty to deceive unwary Nigerians into falling prey to their antics.

He claimed that the antecedents of the founders could not guarantee the security of investment. “It is worthy of note that the government of China banned the operations of MMM on the ground that it was a payment pyramid scheme without registration in the country and has the capacity to cause financial havoc in the system,” Fijabi stressed.

Critics of the scheme, according to Mavrodi, were not knowledgeable on how it works. He said, “You have repeatedly stated that “it should be investigated!.. researched!..” It means you know nothing about this system yet; you even haven’t understood how it works.” MMM is a global mutual aid community.

It is social financial donation exchange network in which a million community of people who have agreed to willingly extend financial helping hands to one another via donation are engaged in it. It is not a bank, an investment opportunity, a business but simply a community of people helping one another financially. Participants register for MMM and wait for 30 days.

They provide help and get help to grow by 30 per cent monthly. The scheme was launched in November 2015 in Nigeria but it got popular this year. Its philosophy is to financially empower its members who are committed to helping one another.

New members are often recruited into the scheme by the promise of 30 per cent monthly return on their investment and higher returns when they offer to assist members that ask for financial assistance. Additional reports by Cephas Iorhemen (Makurdi)

PoliticsObanikoro In Anothet N450m Election Cash Scandal by yeman05(op): 12:37pm On Dec 09, 2016
By Ameh Comrade Godwin on December 9, 2016
@dailypostngr
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Wednesday grilled a former Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, for allegedly receiving N450m from the Coordinator of the Goodluck Jonathan Campaign Organisation in Lagos State, Adewale Onilere, ahead of the 2015 presidential election.
It was gathered that the N450m was part of the N23bn ($115m) allegedly shared to the leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 36 states of the federation by a former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke.
Punch quoted a source as saying that Onilere, who doubles as Chairman of the PDP in the Somolu Local Government Area, received N650m from the campaign organisation out of which
N450m was given to Obanikoro.
He said, “Onilere received N650m and then delivered N450m to Obanikoro at his house. Onilere gave Obanikoro the money in the presence of some PDP leaders.
“So, on Wednesday, we invited Obanikoro to tell his side of the story. However, Obanikoro denied receiving any money from Onilere.
“Since Obanikoro is currently on administrative bail, we let him go. However, we have invited Obanikoro and Onilere to come to our office in two weeks’ time to face each other. Surely, we will get to the bottom of this.”
Reacting via a text message, however, Onilere refuted ever handling any stolen funds.
“It is certainly false and I know nothing about it. Thanks,” he said.
Obanikoro and his two sons, Babajide and Gbolahan, are currently under a separate investigation involving N4.7bn which was allegedly diverted from the Office of the National Security Adviser.
Obanikoro had said in his statement on oath at the EFCC that after receiving the money in June 2014, he gave N1.219bn to the then governorship candidate of the PDP in Ekiti State, Mr. Ayodele Fayose , while N1.3bn was given to the PDP candidate in Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore.
He had also confessed to giving Fayose a separate $5.377m at Spotless Hotel in Ekiti State in the presence of party stalwarts including the then Ekiti State PDP Secretary, Mr. Tope Aluko.

CrimeBuhari: Boko Haram Giving Up ' En Masse ' by yeman05(op): 1:24pm On Dec 07, 2016
New Telegraph: News
Fighters from militant Islamist group Boko Haram are surrendering “en masse” in Chad, Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has said.

Boko Haram launched its insurgency in north-eastern Nigeria in 2009, but has stepped up operations in Chad and other neighbouring states in recent years.

Speaking at a regional peace and security meeting in Senegal’s capital, Dakar, Buhari said that both Nigerian and Chadian members of Boko Haram were surrendering in Chad following an offensive launched by a multinational force, reports the BBC.

Buhari said the end of Boko Haram was “in sight”, with the militants holding no territory in any of Nigeria’s 774 local government areas.

He added: “We are now operating in the Sambisa Forest and as far as Boko Haram is concerned in the Lake Chad Basin area, I think are done for.”

CrimeBoko Haram: Military To Open Key Road Abandoned For 2 Years... by yeman05(op): 3:15pm On Dec 06, 2016
premium Times News :

Habib Kekeno, the Caretaker Chairman of Kukawa Local Government Area of Borno on Tuesday said the military would reopen Maiduguri/Baga road on December 24 following relative peace in the state.

Mr. Kekeno, who disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Maiduguri, said the council had completed all the arrangements to reopen the road.

The Maiduguri/Baga road was closed in November 2014 by the military after Baga suffered five major attacks from Boko Haram insurgents.

The chairman said the continued closure of the road had negatively affected fishing and socio-economic activities of the state.

“It is hard to believe that Baga used to be a lively trading centre of 200,000 people where merchants would travel to sell cattle, leather goods and trade in fresh produce.’’

He said more than 2,000 fish traders and marketers were still producing fish in Baga, but they lacked access to transport their produce to Maiduguri.

“I went to Baga about 21 times and I can tell you that I have met our fishermen who stocked about N4 million fish, but do not have access to bring them into Maiduguri.

“Baga was the largest producer of fish in the Sub-Saharan Africa. Its fishermen bordered from Niger, Chad, Cameroon and some other countries.

“Before the insurgency, more than 300 lorry loads of fish are transported to Maiduguri and other parts of the country in a week. But now, no single truck comes from Baga.

“Borno get its fishes from Damboa Dam, Aloa Dam, River Yobe, others from Chad Republic, but there is no access road leading to these places anymore,’’ Mr. Kekeno said.

LiteratureNigeria's Soyinka Hit Back At " slowpoke " In Green Card Row.. by yeman05(op): 10:21am On Dec 06, 2016
Nobel prize-winning author Wole Soyinka hit back Monday at critics from his native Nigeria, denouncing the "slugs, barbarians and imbeciles" who derided him for tearing up his US residency card after Donald Trump's election win.
"I don't want people we fought for to have the freedom of expression to use it for stupid comments", Woyinka told journalists in Lagos.
Soyinka, who regularly teaches at top US universities, made good on a pledge to bin his green card in the event of a Trump victory, in protest at the Republican's anti-immigration stance.
But after the news was reported on Friday, Nigerians fired up their Twitter feeds, simultaneously blaming the playwright and poet for his distance from his fellow countrymen, and demanding proof that he actually went through with it.
"I beg did you see him throw it away?" asked one Twitter writer, while another claimed: "(I won't believe it) 'til no video and no photo...."
"Why didn't he give it to me!" said yet another.
Death of Nigeria common sense
Many commentators accused Soyinka of being disconnected from the plight of Nigeria's 180 million citizens, many of whom dream of the comforts of US life with its educational and economic opportunities, reliable electricity and freedoms.
Soyinka, one of Africa's most famous writers and rights activists, was jailed in 1967 for 22 months during Nigeria's civil war, or Biafra war. He won the Nobel prize in 1986.
He fled into exile in the United States in 1994 and was sentenced to death for treason by the military leader Sani Abacha. He has since spent much time teaching at US universities, including Harvard, Cornell and Yale.
To reply to the barrage of criticism on Twitter, Soyinka invited journalists to a discussion held on Monday in Freedom Park, a former slaves' prison transformed into a site for freedom of expression.
"On the (Trump's) inauguration day, I will mourn," he said.
"You know what I will be mourning? The death of Nigeria common sense. I feel we have lost it. Sometimes I am embarrassed to share the same nation space with ' imbeciles '

PoliticsHow PDP Helped Buhari Become President - Lamido by yeman05(op): 9:54am On Dec 06, 2016
Dec 6, 2016 • By Segun Bankole A former governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Sule Lamido, has appraised the internal wrangling in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and has come to the conclusion that President Muhammadu Buhari is the greatest beneficiary of the crisis in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

The PDP founding father, who argued that there was no way Buhari could have been given an opportunity to contest for presidency at the outset of the present dispensation in 1998/99, claimed that the President was able to come to power in 2015 because of the efforts of the PDP in reconciling and stabilizing the country.

Lamido, who spoke in his Bamaina hometown at the weekend, stated that all the leaders, including himself, are to be blamed for the party’s woes, but maintained that the PDP is beyond any personality, and that it belongs to Nigerians so cannot be appropriated by anybody.

Speaking about the crisis in the party, he said, “It is not about one’s own personality or one’s ego, but it is about this party called PDP which carries the Nigerian hope which was able to get Nigerians stabilised in spite of the vilification and propaganda and prepared the ground fully for Buhari to come in and become a president because if there is any great beneficiary of PDP in Nigeria, it is Buhari.”

The former Jigawa governor continued, “between 1998 and 1999, there was no way Buhari could have gotten the opportunity to contest, he can’t contest I don’t mean to insult him, but it is simply a historical fact that all those that are now calling the shots, is all, thanks to PDP because the country has been stabilised and reconciled.

“So, anybody in the Villa or Government Houses or wherever they are, who are now enjoying this APC thing are simply because PDP was able to restore the country and made it possible for them,” he stated.

“But today, no matter how big you are as a thief, if you go to APC, they would accept you, look at those going to APC in the last two to three weeks, these are people who are literally on trial by the EFCC,” he declared.

“Maybe because the PDP couldn’t stand up for them, that’s why they are going there or maybe APC has no qualms about fraud by accepting them with the intention of cleaning them,” Lamido added.[img]Dec 6, 2016 • By Segun Bankole A former governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Sule Lamido, has appraised the internal wrangling in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and has come to the conclusion that President Muhammadu Buhari is the greatest beneficiary of the crisis in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

“Maybe because the PDP couldn’t stand up for them, that’s why they are going there or maybe APC has no qualms about fraud by accepting them with the intention of cleaning them,” Lamido added.[/img]Dec 6, 2016 • By Segun Bankole A former governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Sule Lamido, has appraised the internal wrangling in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and has come to the conclusion that President Muhammadu Buhari is the greatest beneficiary of the crisis in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

The PDP founding father, who argued that there was no way Buhari could have been given an opportunity to contest for presidency at the outset of the present dispensation in 1998/99, claimed that the President was able to come to power in 2015 because of the efforts of the PDP in reconciling and stabilizing the country.

Foreign AffairsItaly Prime Minister Resigns After Heavy Poll Defeat by yeman05(op): 8:28am On Dec 05, 2016
New Telegraph: News

Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi has resigned after suffering a heavy defeat in a referendum over his plan to reform the constitution.

In a late-night news conference, he said he took responsibility for the outcome, and said the No camp must now make clear proposals.

With most ballots counted, the No vote leads with 60% against 40% for Yes.

The turnout was nearly 70%, in a vote that was seen as a chance to register discontent with the prime minister.

“Good luck to us all,” Renzi told reporters. He said he would tell a Cabinet meeting on Monday afternoon that he was resigning, and then tender his resignation to the Italian president after two-and-a-half years in office.

Renzi said the reforms he proposed would have cut Italy’s bureaucracy and made the country more competitive.

But the referendum was widely seen as a chance to register discontent with the prime minister.

The No vote was supported by populist parties, and the referendum was regarded as a barometer of anti-establishment sentiment in Europe.

The populist Five Star Movement says it is getting ready to govern Italy now that Renzi is resigning. “Starting tomorrow we’ll be at work on a Five Star government,” one of its leaders, Luigi Di Maio, said.

The movement, led by comedian Beppe Grillo, spearheaded the winning No campaign.

Opposition leader Matteo Salvini, of the anti-immigrant Northern League, called the referendum a “victory of the people against the strong powers of three-quarters of the world”.

There has been an immediate reaction from right-wing leaders in Europe.

The leader of Front National in France, Marine Le Pen, tweeted her congratulations to the Northern League, reports the BBC.

“The Italians have disavowed the EU and Renzi. We must listen to this thirst for freedom of nations,” she said.

The euro fell against the dollar immediately after the exit polls came out.

There have been growing concerns over financial stability in the eurozone’s third largest economy.

The No campaign in Italy has been spearheaded by the anti-establishment Five Star Movement, led by Beppe Grillo.

It wants a referendum on whether Italy should keep the euro.

Populist parties, including the Five Star Movement and the anti-immigrant Northern League.

The referendum comes in the wake of the Brexit vote in the UK in June, and coincides with the rise of the anti-immigrant Front National in France and populist parties elsewhere. It also comes less than a month after the election of Donald Trump in the United States.

Some 50 million Italians have the right to vote in the referendum – many voters are fed up with years of economic stagnation.

PoliticsWhat Has Happen To The Crisis Of Budget Padding? Letter sent to jubrin(pic) by yeman05(op): 5:24am On Sep 07, 2016
I was chance to see and read the copy of letter sent to Hon. Abdulmumin Jibrin directing him to stop making statement to the public on social media and any other platform. To me it's really SAD that Nigerians shouldn't be aware of what is going on in the system of My beloved country. Era of impunity is over and we vividly voted for the Change we yarn for. Nigeria is greater than any individual or click. Let their be fair play and rule of law not decision of few individuals that what only their personal interest not Nigerians at heart. My call to the national working committee of APC is they should remember that Nigerians will be at logger head with them if they try to cover these issues! They should also remember that what is happening in the Country is very very sad and let the rule of law do it course. We strongly stand with the rule of law no matter what and people are becoming more interested in affairs of these country not minding the present hardship in the land. Let's Dogara and his team face the rap of the law if found guilty and the party should not take side at all cost. This makes one begin to wonder, what has happened to the budget padding crisis that "rocked" or has been rocking d senate in the past few weeks. How come Nigerians are not being carried along anymore. Or has the matter been settled?. Has it been overshadowed by the current "Recession" vocabulary going viral around the country? Lalasticlala pls we need an answer.

What an act of humanity, not withstanding differences in tribe and skin. A cry man was seen giving a lift to an African elder on his back in Makkah. They were complete strangers.

The Prophet ﷺ said in his last sermon:

"All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over a black nor a black has any superiority over white except by piety and good action." Posted here so all beings could learn from it.

SportsSegun Toriola Crashes Out Of The Olympics by yeman05(op): 10:54pm On Aug 07, 2016
One of Nigeria’s medal hopefuls in the table tennis event of the Rio Olympic Games has crashed out.
Segun Toriola, who advanced to the second round in the male singles on Saturday, was beaten 4-2 by his Japanese challenger, Niwa Koki, on Sunday.
Toriola, 41, beat Koki 9-11 in the first set before the Japanese rallied back to dominate the second set 11-5.
Koki also won the third set 11-7 before Toriola triumphed in the fourth set, leaving scores at 4-11.
At that point, it appeared the Nigerian would overpower his challenger for the rest of the match. But Koki was in no mood to concede.
The Japanese overpowered Toriola 11-6, 11-1 in the fifth and sixth sets respectively to bring total scores at 4-2.
Toriola was one of Nigeria’s medal prospects and his ouster is a big setback for Nigeria’s ambition to return home with medals.
Toriola, who is making a record appearance in the competition, had on Saturday beaten Dmitrij Prokopcov of the Czech Republic 4-2 in the Men’s Singles Round One
