Got my visa. Biometrics Nov 6, received passport Nov 10. Although there were some errors in my cover letter and itinerary but I was still granted the visa. Also, I’m a frequent traveler with a valid 2yrs Uk visa and I’ve gotten scheghen 2ce before this so I think that helped. |
Passport received, got the visa. 2yrs validity. Standard visitor visa application Biometrics Oct 17th Collection email Oct 30th |
mhizore:Oct 17th, Ikeja |
directonpc:Okay, TLS just sent a collection email |
Hello everyone, I received an email today from DHL, it says my passport has been picked up from tls and ready for delivery. I hope this means good news. Also worried cause I didn’t get any email from tls that my passport is ready for collection. I applied for standard visit visa, 2 yrs validity on the 17th of Oct. didn’t pay for priority so I’m wondering why dhl sent the delivery email |
hunee:I ensured to submit all the required documents. I also attached screenshots of my news publications to support my application. I had a letter from a referee in South Africa who vouched for me. Also I have a really good travel history, so I assume that helped as well. Lastly, I submitted my application together with my passport |

Got my SA sticker visa on the 21st June, it was issued 17th. I submitted my application 7th of June at Vfs Lagos. It’s my 2nd time applying, the first time was eVisa vfs and I was denied “travel time elapsed” tried again after 2 months with sticker, got 3 months multiple entry |
chigosman:I use wakanow or travel agent “grin ace”. He just got me virgin Atlantic return trip at 760k, wakanow called it 802k for the same flight, the price on virgin’s website even worse |
Is it okay to book a flight a day earlier and 2 days later than you mentioned in your cover letter for application cause it’s cheaper than the specified dates |
I just got my first UK visa. Thankful |
Africankel:I really hope so. Thank you |
Hello everyone, I just received an email from TLS, my passport is ready for collection and has been transferred to courier for delivery. Hmm. Please does this mean I got the visa? Last time I applied in 2020, I was sent a refusal email before a collection email. I had some sort of ptsd from that application so I’m worried about this one? |
SarahKrm2:Yes, I did. I just received an email from TLS just now, saying my passport is ready for collection and been transferred to courier for delivery. |
SarahKrm2:I did bio on the 21st of feb, priority visitor visa as well. It’s been at “application received by the DMC” since 24th of feb. I haven’t gotten a response nor my passport yet, I wonder why. And what the money for the priority service was for |
Hello everyone, Is there anyone here who did bio on the 21st of February and has gotten a response? I did priority for the standard visa category and I’m yet to get feedback although I received an email on the 24th about my passport already at the DMC but by my count, for the priority service, I should’ve gotten a feedback as of Tuesday, considering the election break. |
pufframmy:Hmm, I had the same note in my passport when I got my first France visa last year, but I didn’t go back to Vfs. I never understood what it meant nor had anyone who understood it too. Also, I travelled to Côte d’Ivoire a day after I came back to Nigeria from France so I wasn’t even around to make the appointment if I had any info on it. Does this mean any harm or perhaps future applications? Should I be scared? Cause I’m at the verge of applying for another visa and this has me worried. Is there a fix? |
Hello everyone, abeg how long does it take before TLS returns passport, especially when you’ve paid for delivery. |
Thank you. I would ensure to. TheExalted: |
Hello everyone, I received a refusal mail yesterday. Reasons were cause I didn’t attach a business registration certificate since I mentioned I was self employed (artist & photographer). I explained why in my cover letter and shared invoices of my source of income. Also, because of immigration history. I think that’s cause my passport is virgin, hence they felt I intended to go and never come back. Moving forward, I would rectify all of these issues and reapply next year. But in the mean time, is it advisable I join a tourist group on a trip to Istanbul this November? Would my UK refusal affect that? I just thought to apply for the tourist opportunity to atleast boost my travel history while I work on rectifying my other issues. Please respond. |

Good afternoon everyone, I have some questions please, I am a visual artist and a recent graduate. I have an exhibition in London at the end of the month which I intend attending for 2 weeks provided I get the visa. I have received invitation letter from the gallery, as well as from my Aunty who’ll be accommodating and feeding me. But I would bear the cost for the trip by myself. My questions are; 1) How much do I need to have in my account? Would 1.1M naira suffice for the application? 2) my brand isn’t registered yet, but I get paid for art sales and photoshoot, it’s how I make a living since I left school. Is it mandatory to have a business certificate? Or is it enough to show receipts/invoice of payments to prove where my money comes from. 3) I receive payments from 2 of my banks and save with PiggyVest, is it advisable to drop my PiggyVest bank statement and would it seem dubious if they see credit alerts from my other banks to my PiggyVest? 4) my aunt accommodating me is more like my mother’s cousin, so we don’t share the same name, but she has provided her data page, council tax and account statement as she’s a citizen of the UK. 5) will adding a landed property also help boost my application? 6) after biometrics does it mean I can’t forward money to my PiggyVest to save since I’m submitting the statement of account. It’s my first ever application hence my passport is virgin. But can I also submit my ecowas passport alongside, it’s where I have travel stamps to several west African countries. I’ll appreciate your kind response. Thanks |
