I stopped using access when I wanted to withdraw 3k and the ATM gave me 1.5k. I spent so much on transport yet dey neva rectify am. Network issues is too frequent with access bank. |

Agriculture › Re: Palm Tree Farming. by Yemike(m): 7:35pm On Dec 09, 2023 |
1) You'll prepare the land 2) You'll buy palm seedlings (preferably Tenera) 3) You can source for who to plant it or the seller of the seedlings could provide you 4) Hire workers to look after the farm. They'll be the one to wet the seedlings and also do the weeding.
After 3 years of doing the aforementioned steps then you'll be ready to harvest your nut and process it to palm oil.
I can assist you with the 2nd and 3rd step. I sell seedlings. |

leo22: Dear, Be strong and be hopeful, because this challenge can be managed.
1. They should take lots of water daily, insist on this please.
2. Watch their diet, fruits and lots of vegetables are compulsory. The blood must boosted to avoid any drop in their PCV.
3. Avoid any hard labor or anything that would trigger pains.
4. Keep the environment clean and void of mosquitoes. They must sleep under the net.
5. They must take routine drugs like victamin C, B complex, folic acid, Amino acids, Ciclavite, Hydroxyurea (this is a wonder drug that reduces crises) and regular anti malaria treatment.
6. Do monthly or bi-monthly hospital check up for Full blood count, malaria etc
7. Register for an HMO (if you are in Lagos, get Ilera Eko health insurance scheme to lower the cost of health bills)
Note: visit a specialist doctor for medical advice and prescriptions.
If you follow the above routines they would be healthy and live normal lives. Sickle cell is not a taboo! Stop stigmatizing warriors! They are normal people and most of the time, they are more intelligent that these mofos typing rubbish here.
Ignore the bitter people here who are looking for whom to dump their vile on, you asked for help and they have none to offer, instead of them to Waka pass, they rather pour their frustrations on others cos they are like their father, the devil whom is roaming about like a roaring lion, seeking whom to devour. I sincerely appreciate your input. Thanks. Long live our champions |

Tolupage: Yemike, I understand your pain and a big thank you for the continual support. Here are my thoughts as someone who's SS.
1. Help them cultivate the habit of takin their routin drugs, folic acid, bco and paludrin. Truthfully we don't like taking drugs and once one is healthy, we most times forget about them.
2. Avoid stress by all means. Physical, mental, emotional and psychological. Heartbreak from a babe can land one in hospital.
3. Never strain your body. exercise, sport and labor can be detrimental, they all must learn to do these with caution and within limit. I'm not asking they become pampered and spoilt tho.
4. Get them supplements: there are lots of supplement out there can can really boost immune system and help each of them live really healthy. Find one of those. Some supplement don't work for people tho, so find the right one. I know a lot of people recommend Hydroxyurea, but I'd say it should be your last resort unless recommended by your doctor.
5. Love them with all you've got and show it, they'll need it.
6. Avoid mosquito bites by all means. Mosquito nets should be encouraged.
7. Teach them independence, they'll need it. People no too send you. Once one begin to fall sick too frequently they'll eventually get tired... Don't blame them too.
8. Keep first aid drugs around at all times, PCM, Diclofenac, Aboniki.
9. Don't let their battles drain you, you also deserve a good life
10. Help them understand they can live well, and be the best version of themselves. They must cultivate strong desire to live and enjoy life.
11. Hydration is non negotiable. Minimum 7 sachet of water daily. Regular cup shouldn't be less than 10.
12. Avoid extreme weather. Cold? Wear your cardigan. Hot? Loosen up.
Lastly Make dem sabi God oooooooooooo, cause na him dey run things. Thank you so much for this. God will continue to bless you. |

sakbio: U can manage them with some steps such as registered them in a good teaching hospitan or any govt hospital that is closer to you. Also, they need to manage any sort of stress either from exam preparation or daily hassles, they should manage Thier time without rushing. They should avoid malaria that is sleeping under mosquito nets. Also u they should be taking enough water and encourage to eat balance diet and enough fruits. Lastly they should reduce all the strenous activities such as playing football but encourage them to do lesss strenous exercise. Let them be going to clinic regularly to check their FBC and they should not be exposed to extreme weather condition either rain or cold . God will be with them. Amen. Thanks for input. I really appreciate it. |

Greattha: First thing is to register them with a hospital with Haematology Department or access to a Haematology Consultant.
Now, there aren't many of these around. Infact one of the best places for this is UCH Ibadan.
Secondly, avoid Stress and Mosquitoes
Thirdly, have a balanced diet and regular water intake. Water is life...it won't be palatable but they must carry water around and drink regularly.
You'll also need funds for meds like folic acid, b complex etc
For the pain, there's a potent combo of pain meds that I can suggest but you'd have to run it by your Haematology Consultant first for approval to determine if its safe for your siblings. . It works...knocks off pain in 1-2 hours Chat me privately if interested as I can't post it here We used Oni and Son before but their current clinic is Ade Oyo ring road. Can you please send your recommendations to Ohgeebee95@gmail.com as I cannot contact you with the email on this account. |
