rite2salas: U are damn right about tekken having no fireball, i have long long long played tekken 1 but some months ago i played DARK RESURECTION on my PSP and i love it so much but that was because MK Trilogy didn't worked after converting from a PSOne as an eboot. it got corrupted and i had no other copy. You see MK is all about anticipation, you anticipate ur opponents next attack then u quickly block those long rage attacks, Scorpion's come-over-here attack and u teleport with either Ermac or u Down Up with Smoke but tekken is not like that, tekken requires a player to have a dedicated character because each of its fighters have so many moves one could possibly memorise in a year, what the hell. nuff said. |

tboy1: Yeah, you are damn right but not exactly, because before Konami merged them both onto 1 there was a huge lot of differences not only in their gameplay but most especially in the way a player turns with the ball and i hate WE for one thing; pushing the ball forward during passes which an oppenent is liable to collect if who you targeted the pass to is slow and also all Winning Eleven is pretty fast compared to PES but PES offers more realism. As at now on my laptop i so much enjoy Pro Evolution Soccer 2008, its superbly advanced and a lot of flaws have been modifed. PES 2008 really wants you as a player to be very cautious in sliding anyhow just to collect the ball which makes you really think one how to mark which improves one playability. matured i guess. WHO KNOWS I MIGHT BE A FIFA CONVERT TOMMOROW PES 4 NOW FIFA IS STILL WACK TO ME FIFA'S JUMPY ANIMATION IS KILLING |
Gaming / Which Is The Best Martial Art Game? by YEMINEM(m): 1:10am On Mar 08, 2009 |
Hey Guys, Which of the following is the best beat 'em up of all time? 1. STREET FIGHTER series 2. MORTAL KOMBAT series 3. TEKKEN series 4. SOUL CALIBUR series 5. VIRTUAL FIGHTER series I personally think Mortal Kombat is the best of 'em all specifically MK3 Ultimate and MK Trilogy because of it superb digitized frame by frame motion, The franchise really offered what i believe to be the true fighting experience in terms of realistic fighting and combo execution. I know a lot of combat games fans out there won't agree at all and instead would prefer SF, SC, etc, i love those too but i sincerely enjoyed MK's simulation of how a martial art should fight should be played instead of some 2 dimensional SFII's unrealistic cartoonish combo sequences, well SF is fun too especially ChunLi's hundred kick but MK is my no.1 any day (hold on, wait, before you say that, i know, yes MK4 is wack, i never liked it @ all, even Deadly Alliance and Defiance has their flaws) but MK3 Ultim8 & MKTrilogy are still my favourite and i hereby proclaim to be the best player of it in Lagos. Bring it on if you dare try n challenge me. Far back then and up till now I could n can still use any character, i know all their moves, combo, brutality, fatality, ya know the whole drill. Any way some of you might say MK is full of blood and gore, it fight session is short, its kinda dull n dry, combat control is lame, bla, bla, bla, but guess what? it's a mature game for matured players, Yeah, yeah, yeah i know during its inception days it generated numerous controversies, a lot of debating, citing how it related to social issues even i think their was a time the Christian Association of America speared a motion on having it banned due to the its violent content and a US senator or some1 4rm the American government made moves just to i think ban it too. But MK survived and i still love it, prefer it very much to other fighting games. I choose MK, so what's yours and please kindly state your reason. --%^$&%$^ Finnish Him #%*(^&%$$@#^ Gen Gen Geeeeeen Gbssh Haaaaaaaaaaaaa Skluaash (impaled) |

@Justkunmi how can i contact u, lets share from each other's vast collection of rock music. i have a tetrabyte (1,000gb) 33% consist of mp3 music, approx 15% of which are rock music, ranging from soft, hard rock to few heavy metals. @jadestar looking 4 rock band to team tour with in nigeria, hope u find, and if u do, hope they possess real quality and not some lagos kpangolo punks who claim to be rockers. years back, i tried to assemble like minds with great affinity for hard rock (they weren't really into heavy metal as such), it never worked out because they lost interest, they were also afraid of bad-labelling and stigma, they just couldn't form that band i'd wished 4 but i remain relentless in my search and thank ZEUS i now have a friend who's not only lyrically sound in rap, but has dis burning flare for rock music too. he has proven it and more than willing. a day is coming when we shall arise like a phoenix, who says 2 can't make a band, we gon'be d deadliest rock duo in naija. have got some questions for u, what leitmotif is ur rock music based on? what particular style have u adopted from evansescence? is there goin to be some helluva screaming and shouting in ur production? are u really deep into rock? cos i think a dedicated and bonafide rock chic should at least have a small tatoo drawn somewhere, what a waste of skin. have u seen Flyleaf's Lacey Mosley's music video for "i'm so sick" that appeared briefly in the 2007 film Live Free or Die Hard (Die Hard 4.0), if u have, that's the kind of stuff i'm talking about; (from a silent whispering tone, secs l8er secs later, bursting suddenly into an heavy deep scream synchronised with heavy percussion beats, laced with striking electronic guitar sound. i love sh*t like that. @all rockers Have any1 of you heard "Red Tape by Agent Provocateur" Underworld trailer soundtrack, i only heard it once and think it kinda sound like Three Days Grace's Never Too Late. Need to download it but my damn dial-up internet connection wouldn't cos it's too fu*kn slow, well if any1 has that track, pls holla @ me. nme@rock.com

@princesa, why do you so much 8 dat genre of music popularly known as 'rock'. observing ur your trail of posts i realised 'poem' is your favourite thread where u love to hang out. if u so much have this enormous distaste for rock music then what i don't seem to understand is how come u always know of any thread discussing rock just to drop acrimonious statement and expressing ur aversion towards it. why posting discouraging speech for pliable minds who has no grudge for rock music in the first place. why dont you look at the good side of rock music, i am sure you will love it. U need to erase ur miopic view on rock music, 73% of american movies are sweetned by the application of various sub-genre of rock music noy onlu as soundtracks but also score and end credit, Matrix (P.O.D.) Underworld (Agent Provocateur) 300 (NIN) Alias - Season 4 or 5 (Deftones). Miami Vice (Linkin Park) e.t.c I love rock music specificall hard rock because as for me they expand my imagination and fuel inspiration, improvise my creativity and lastly takes me into an unlimited my mind journey into world of abstracts and metaphysic. it can be tiring at times when i have listened for too long but the most beautifull part of it is, it allows one, especially a very keen listener to attribute and relate many aspect of life to it, not like rap and RnB which are just straight forward. I hope u change and add to the growing ROCK community in Nigeria. I recommend u start-off with EVANESCENCE and LINKIN PARK.

You guys are all shallow heads, it seems to me y'all don't know how to analyze video games Before GOW was release in 2005, infact before i ever knew that there would be ps2 game titled God of War i have been all crazy and craving about Devil May Cry, i even did all the wahala of buying all its available comics (friends stole all except for issue 1 & 3), i so much revved myself up for DMC to the extent that i totally refused to play it at friends place believing that one day i shall buy original copies and comfortably play it at my place, na so i wait 1year, 2year 3year till CAPCOM release DMC 1,2 & 3, i still insisted on buying the 3 when i knew GOW was out i did the same for GOW, Last year i bought original DMC 1,2 and 3, God of War 1 and 2, buy the time i finnish playing GOW 1 & 2, I just simply hated DMC straight up. what a waste of cash. I mean if you guys are comparing in terms of gameplay, the winner is GOW because Kratos's animation is superb, infact the whole GOW animation and screenplay are awesome compared to 15fps Dante movements and cheap, low polygon, blocky effects that DMC offers. In terms of storyline, na wa oooo, Kratos story fueled my previous desire about Greek Mythology, educative!!!!, Dante's DMC is just pure fantasy, hack-n-slash, demon-slaying theme, nothing to gain i won go sleep, ehen, if anybody see that "princesa" user, make una helep me pursue her commot, i go tell u wetin she do later good morning. |

@Freewilly I checked ur profile and i was very surprised to see that u seem like a DISTURBED fan, . I like them too ever since i bought and ceaselessly listen to Queen of the Damned OST album but unfortunately they only sang 2 tracks for the late Aaliyah's movie. Have you heard these tracks by Disturbed: "Down with the sickness" and "Forsaken - David Draiman Of Disturbed" I haven't heard any more of them, but i am aware they've got albums like: 1. The Sickness 2. Believe 3. Music as a Weapon II 4. Ten Thousand Fists Could you please recommend some heavy-beats, disturbingly-crazy tracks that has that elements of vehemence among those albums listed above before i start purchasing with my account @ mp3fiesta.com. I appreciate the expressivity in ur profile. |

KarmaMod: @KarmaMod HI KarmaMod, I was the author of Aren't No Rock, Grunge, Heavy Metal Fans In Lagos thread, I would luv 2 hav a chat with u on yahoo messanger, i'd like to clarify the issue of u saying "SlipKnot's gay Better off listening to Fear Factory or NIN" I haven't actually listened to SlipKnot at all, so i wouldn't care if they weren't homosexual, i was just kinda tripped when i watched 2 of their videos on Headbangers Ball on MTV besides i love their idea of self-portraying themselves on mask just like Lagbaja, weird isn't it? do u have that Fear Factory on mp3 tracks? can u send me a list of all the rock, heavy metal, post grunge, etc u have, i am collector, i have a tetrabyte external harddrive (1000gb) of which 20% are Anime, 40% HQ movies and about 35% for MP3 songs of which rock are jusy about 8% i need 2 add more to my collection of music, do u really have REM too? are Rapid Eye Movement cool, how might u describe them I have almost NIN album but only felt few of NIN tracks like {Just Like You Imagine (300 trailer soundtrack) and some few tracks of their album: "The Fragile 2of2"} QUOT YOU{I tend to like depressing songs so maybe that's why I dont mind. They tend to have the most poignant lyrics} I like some depressing songs too. but how do u mean depressing? do u mean songs that induce depression or songs that make one tend to simulate depressive mood like Adema's 'Giving In' or empathise with people with emotional break down, schizophrenias, e.g. Linkin Park's 'One step closer', 'Somewhere I Belong', 'Easier to run' etc to mention a few of other artistes. And why does princesa hate everything about rock? IM me: animaetion@yahoo.com mailto: nme@rock.com |
