Sports / Why Super Eagles? by yemstar(f): 12:24am On Aug 31, 2007
Hey Guys,

I have an internship in this Insurance Company, and my boss wants to know why our team is called the SUPER EAGLES, I have no idea why he wants to know he watched them play a match a while ago and till this day ponders about the conception of the name super eagles. I already told him I have no idea since I am clueless about any sport, but I would like to surprise him with an answer, in the hopes of impressing and may sucking up a little.

So please if you know the answer let me know, thanks.

Thank you oh, I was just about to say the same and if you no get washing machine just soak the thing for a while and you'll be all set. I think its cuz most of you are immature.

So lets review this, some of you with your nasty selves will go downtown with your mouths and visit every stop, nook and cranny and yet can't muster the strenght to wash what comes out from there with your hands. Hmmmmnnnn I think people got misinformed in their hygiene classes.

HYPOCRITES, you guys make me laugh.
Romance / Re: My New Girlfriend Is A Virgin. Shuld I Disflower Her? by yemstar(f): 11:20pm On Aug 05, 2007
Now that I am done laughing, dude that was way more information than we needed to know. You probably will do it eventually anyways, I mean the girl obviously has PID (p***y in distress) syndrome and needs a cure fast. You are willing and ready to do so, but remember to every action there is a reaction.

Just know If you are not ready for marriage and you go pop her cherry and she call her mama and papa on you and lie say she don carry belly its all on you.

You obviously have no religious and moral concerns about this, So do whatever floats your boat mister!

Umm don't eat my head off oh but I believe from this statement;

Paw-Paw:

Its a curse from God. Visa or no visa I don't care, send america police to my house if you don't like what I said. I don't like americans they are very violent all over the world. How many people don die from america bullets this year. Abeg carry go jare.

you can pretty much assume he meant all Americans.

At topic,

I can't believe most of the comments I have been reading, I mean people died and it must have been horrific for the survivors. I mean just put yourself in the situation, if you were one of the people that survived this would you want to read comments such as you deserved it because of the decisions your government makes around the world.

C'mon now people we are all human and we all know that NOBODY wants to die, especially in one so freakish.
Politics / Re: Message From An Angry American Soldier by yemstar(f): 1:34pm On May 25, 2007
Bush should have never started this war in the first place, I can not for the life of me understand why people where supporting him in the first place. The man had an agenda and now thousands of lives are paying for it both American and Iraqi alike.

Those of you supporting the war all the way from nigeria how would you like it if one day Bush decides to declare war on Nigeria, you think IMPOSSIBLE but he just did it to Iraq and he is getting away with it. After doing away with Sadaam does he really think that he can make Iraq a democratic nation i seriously doubt it.

More Americans are now against the war only because their own people are dying, but Bush knows that he can't pull out now because what will it tell the whole world that he is the biggest terrorist that ever lived he single handedly gave orders to destroy a whole nation. NO NO he wants to stay and try to rectify some of his actions, but CAN he really?
Jokes Etc / Eye Crabs! by yemstar(f): 9:45pm On Mar 25, 2007
You will not believe this, my bro's girlfriend's friend went to a strip joint, and this male stripper was dancing and rubbing his lil thing all over her body, face and in her eyes. You know they had thier fun time and went home. Next day her eyes began to itch, after a couple of days she decides to go to the hospital and the doctor tells her she has crabs in her eyes. It wasn't funny then (well actually maybe a wee bit) but now that they are almost gone, it cracks us all up.

This might make some people laugh and also make you think about what you permit to be put on your body. Take care of yourselves grin

Nairaland / General / Highlights Of 2006! by yemstar(f): 8:31am On Jan 02, 2007
Yhello people, i thought it would be cool if we share moments we thought were memorable in 2006. Personal, economic, political or social events that made us laugh, cry or just plain happy and thankful to be alive.

I don't think i had that many sad moments cuz i just can't remember any but there were just so many tragedies the plane crashes, war and natural disasters around the world.

The funniest thing in show biz was Michael Richards you know "Kramer" from seinfeld's outburst calling those guys the N word and then saying on national tv that he liked afro americans, that to me was hysterical.

My happiest moment was getting my license and car so if you live in CT BEWARE grin just kidding and also grateful to be alive to see another year and praying that 2007 would be a year of joy, happiness, i don't know a word that describes less disaster prone and also blessings.

All in all am thankful to be alive.

Business / Re: Why Is Africa Not Developing? by yemstar(f): 9:11am On Dec 31, 2006
Thank you very much for insinuating that i do not think but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I know there are white men out there that are greedy and if you think i was trying to degrade the black man you are very wrong. If you take a closer look at most african nations today out of the many reasons for their downfall to me greed is the major factor.

There are honest people out there it just so happens that so far we seem to have been plagued with the bad ones and like my previous post said we need to pray for more honest leaders. Having honest leaders in charge will not automatically make us developed but it will lead us a step closer.
Business / Re: Why Is Africa Not Developing? by yemstar(f): 1:26am On Dec 31, 2006
It is a mix of many things but for the most part i think it all comes down to greed. Think about it people, all the black man thinks of is me me me. They get into power and all they do is steal and make themselves richer and fatter.
We are as smart if not smarter than the white man but greed just seems cloud our brains and prevent us from realizing that in order to help ourselves we have to help others too. Until we can get some honest leaders we just have to keep on praying for our African countries.

Ynot:

House, M.D. is one of the best shows on television right now. He pops pills, watches soaps, and always, always says what's on his mind. I thought i would get tired of watching the series by now but no, i'm hooked. One thing i don't like though is his often racial remarks on Eric (Omarr Epps).

smiley Am hooked too we have season one and two in my hall so that will be my new past time for the next two weeks. Ignore the comments to eric i think he just picks on everyone even cameron and chase not to forget cuddy.

ThiefOfHearts:

he looks like a frog.

Who house or Eric?

POTUS:

TV/Movies / Re: Movie Recommendation Thread by yemstar(f): 5:51pm On Dec 29, 2006
Yeah he is grin i just like to see what stupid thing he says or does next in the begining it gave him an odd sex appeal but now its run its course for me but some still thinks he has it. I just love the way they probe until they find a solution to the puzzle its all about the puzzle.

Don't forget Omarr Epps character Eric brilliant and beautiful.

I really don't know what speaking in togues is all about but i believe now adays some people just do it for the sake of seeming spiritual. I have no problems with people yelling and speaking in togues maybe one of these days i will come to understand the concept but till then i will like to beg them to reduce their yelling a tad bit so i can hear my own thoughts when i am communicating with my God undecided

Romance / Can You Love Somebody Without Trust? by yemstar(f): 5:22am On Aug 22, 2006
Ok, My friend and i had this arguement, her mother actually advised her never to trust anyman and she has taken it into her relationships. She claims to love her present boyfriend but is not stupid enough to trust him.

I mean isn't trust essential to a relationship especially when love is involved?

kimba:

@Yemstaryeah rite!!!
Easy, Yemstar, There is no government without people. The people are actually the government. The difference between America and Nigeria is that Americans care for Americans, while Nigerians don't give a F about fellow Nigerians.

Kimba
We all know that is true but the trait came from higher power which is the Government. When people that rule a country worry more about their pockets than about their people won't the people want to fend for themselves since the government doesn't give a f^ck  undecided

Its called Follow the leader sickness, when the government begins to care for its people, that will give the people incentive to give a damn.

Since you are pro OBJ show me how he has cared for the people in power the past hundred years he's been there tongue
Religion / Re: I Am An Atheist by yemstar(f): 11:37pm On Aug 07, 2006
nferyn:

I am yet to meet the first person that grew up in a non-theistic environment and became a theist.

Well you haven't met any but i have met alot and i am telling you that they are out there.

nferyn:

Why do people always have to start talking about feeling incomplete, lost, inadequate, without purpose, etc in relation to belief. I don't believe in a deity and I feel none of these things. Maybe it's not what you're trying to say, but this gentle feeling of moral superiority I encounter in theists is rather irritating.

People dont always start with these i am giving you examples and your life to you at this point in time might feel adequate at least that is what you say. But there are people out from these situations i mentioned into believing in God. I didn't say it is in all circumstances. I can see that you are looking for some arguement because i never mentioned anything about moral superiority neither did i imply such, there is much to be said about that satisfaction of having God in your life that doesn't make me morally superior to you or to anybody at all and christians in the house know this.

nferyn:

IAcknowledge what exactly? An imaginary being? If it weren't imaginary it would be somehow detectable, wouldn't it?

Acknowledge the Lord's presence if you could believe in all the hocus pocus of the world, and the scientist that come up with new theories everyday why do you have to doubt. At least to me he is detectable in the fact that when i am ill i rarely go to the doctors he heals me, when i am upset or a lot of things are weighing me down he intervenes you can call it whatever you want but to me it is the presence of the Lord in my life.

nferyn:

Strengt in your faith is not what's required, but rather strength in the arguments and/or evidence for said God.
See now that is where you are wrong, strength in my faith is required because if i were stronger i will be able to give you more proof and satisfactory answers to your doubts. I am not going to spend time arguing or trying to give you evidence that there is a God i just have to tell you about him and his God works, something you don't have to see to believe in and i am working at it. As your life has a purpose so does mine and mine is to learn as much more about the lord as possible and share of his wonderful goodness and mercies to as many unbelievers are out there, and it is up to you to open your mind and heart to him. Nobody can help you do that but you.

nope just that tricky
Religion / Re: I Am An Atheist by yemstar(f): 7:10pm On Aug 07, 2006
God does exist in our physical world you just have to be ready to accept that he does exist, people that never believed in God with the same reasons as Kag here change everyday. Like i said if i was a stronger christian i will expantiate more.

I don't know where to start, there are people out there that feel incomplete and inadequate everyday of their lives, and people who go through life with no pupose whatsoever. People like that have a reason to believe in God even though as you say it doesn't manifest itself in the physical world it is there lurking behind us everyday and waiting for us to reach out to him. He is there we just have to acknowledge him.

If there are any stronger christians in the house abeg help me out i know i am not doing a very good job.
