For those who used Dr Glenn Morgan, did you have to pay an initial deposit?
In a previous email, they requested for my medical records which i sent. Then i just got an email to call their office to make an initial deposit so that i could get the acceptance letter. Kindly advise
Yes u will have to pay a non refundable fee of $100 but will be deducted from your total bill if u use him

Mamas n Papas in the house. Pls no vex o. I have a quick question. Bank of America is telling me I hav to leave a minimum bal of $1500 in my checking account n $300 in my savings account to avoid a monthly charge. How una take do am. Is there a way around this
I was told the same thing when I opened mine. 1. U can ask for other checking account coz a friend of mine that works there says dere are other types without such huge minimum bal 2. Discuss with the person opening d account to see what can be done. Dts what I did and she worked something out for me. Hope dis helps

Getting correspondence from other doctor in Houston is the best alternative. If ask at POE tell them you want to cool off in Dallas for a while before porting Houston. I don't think there will be a problem. My Opinion tho....
dt should not be a problem. I used correspondence from houston and am using a hospital in dallas.

Hello people. A quick one pls...i got my visa before i got pregnant and found out about this thread and I've used it once. The issue is that when i was filling my form and asked if i have a relative in the us,i said no though my bro is there but i didn't have his address at the time and i was in a hurry to submit so i could get an appointment ontime. I'm planning to stay with him for the birth of my baby and i noticed on d thread that they ask pple if they have relatives there. Should i stick to my story and ppbly book an extensive stay for a week or admit i intend to stay with my bro.
I think you should stick to ur original story of not knowing anyone. Don't know how it works in the US but I have heard of pple been sent back at the UK poe for the same thing, though it depends on ur poe. So its better to stick to one story. Book an accommodation for 1 week to use at d poe

Thanks o. Don't envy me o. This journey started almost 10 years ago. I don't wish my enemy to go through this kind of struggle before having children. I Tha k God who has compensated me for the years I waited by giving me 3 at a go.
Congrats Nogen dis is really a great compensation.

[quote author=favouredmum post=36976886]Hi everyone,
Have been a silent reader for a long while. Tot I should give back to the thread.

I arrived Houston via Atlanta first wik of June at 34wiks with my husband. POE was smooth as the officer didn't even notice I was pregnant. He was busy jisting with my husband and stamped us in for 6 months. I had to tell him I was pregnant and he asked me to step back so he could take a look at me and asked dat we take care of the baby and pay our bills.

I had my baby at oakbend at 40wiks and 6 days. The experience was awesome. Was discharged 24hrs after delivery as baby and I were doing great. Feel into labour on my own and it was discovered dat the baby was in a posterior position during labour. Opted for a CS and my doctor advised that a VD was still possible. Active labour started at 10pm on a Tuesday and my LO came on Thursday at 3.28pm with a birth weight of 3.73kg. She said that the contractions were needed for the baby to turn before dialation would progress. I was at 3cm for over 24hrs. I give God the glory as baby and I came out alive and well. For those who are rhesus negative, ensure u get the rhogam shot as its part of your bill.

My bills as follows
Doctor - $1900
Tests - $120
Hospital - $2300
Labour epidural - $900
Pediatrician - $335
Brown and associate - $155 (for mother and baby)
This is what I spent on the birthing. For the pediatrician visit, I used pediatric centre and paid $108. Also got a copy of my zero balances before leaving and travelled with my baby at 2wiks and 3days.

I had an awesome host who has become good friends to my husband and I. Feel free to ask me questions as i am willing to assist in anyway I can.
[/quo

Congratulations

I will like to say a big thank you to all NL mamas and papas for ur contributions to d forum. I hv been a silent reader with my jotter and pen and dis really helped me. My Poe was dallas. Flew BA and requested for a wheelchair. Wasn't given in nija but it was no stress though. Got a gud seat and flight was interesting. Getting to Heathrow requested for d wheelchair but dey tactically didnt give me, was so stressful. When I boarded d flight to dallas I ensured I made proper arrangement for wheelchair and dis saved me a great deal. Landed dallas 13th August.

Cbp: u declared more than 10k and how much
Me: yes and told him d amount
Cbp: u declared food what items
Me: my local fud
Cbp were are u staying
Me: rented an apartment
Cbp: y
Me: child birth
Cbp: are ur other children American citizens
Me: no
Cbp: ok go 2 immigration to fill d form to declare ur money and agric

Thank you Jesus. That was all, no secondary inspection no food was seized, no document was checked though I had all my burden of proof. it was just like 5 mins with cbp. My advice; say the truth. Get ur jotter and pen, u will find every info u need on dis thread if u can read also request for wheelchair coz it was a saving grace for me. Resting at dallas b4 seeing doc Glen next week for my appointment. Will give more info as event unfolds.

Hawttattoo:
My Edd was on the 2nd of August based on scan did at 9 weeks. I don't know which kpekus nailed it (according to Nef) as I wasn't even sure of my LMC.
After 2nd August,I was scheduled for induction on the 7th but i called and cancelled it a day before 7th seriously kabashing and building up my faith that labour will come before then. As I had my other kids without inducing and on time.
I started having mild contraction on the 7th, got to the hospital on the early hours of 8th. The labour was not progressing and induction was the only option since I was already 41 weeks.
I declined epidural initially...but I had to literally begged for it when the pains became unbearable but still I wasn't given one cos my palette was low according to them
But in all.. I muscled it out as a true daughter of Zion bringing forth a 9.8lb baby boy... Phewww

My rating for HNWC will be 4.5****. Their nurses are nice and friendly. Clean rooms, nice food but poor in freebies
My baby was given only 15 diapers,1 small size wipe,8 Similac, thermometer ,pacifier
I was given rubber basin... Sit bath grin
I complained to my dr Glenn about the $1k pediatrician fee and I got a called from him yesterday that he has spoken to the CEO .... So hopefully something will be done about it. Yet to get my bills but will relate it once it's sorted

Forgive my long post...
Congrats on ur bundle of joy
