Lol! One of them is angrily shouting "we are waiting for them, they should come down we just want to ask them questions". grin
If you want to ask them questions why are you saying it angrily. ?
The question you did not ask before match start, you want to ask them now that match finish.
Hahaha, they just want to ask how they're doing grin

Let them perform. Is that too much to ask?

Na waa to una.

France President, Emmanuel Macron, was slapped by a man. The man got only 4 months jail term.
https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2021/6/10/french-court-gives-man-who-slapped-macron-4-months-in-jail
I'm sure if same happened in Nigeria people like you will be calling for the man's head

If insulting these useless people till make them know the people are angry with them, then let people drown them in insults.

Imagine the president's wife asking people to pray against insecurities while she moves in bullet proof vehicles with armed bodyguards. What nonsense!

In fact, she deserves more than insults
Where in my comment did I imply it's too much asking them to perform?
Of course, I'm aware of the man who slapped Macron, does that make it right? 2 wrongs will never make a right. If insulting them worked, Nigeria should have moved forward by now.

No dey talk nonsense.

When these same leaders called Jonathan's wife a shepopotamus, you guys didn't say anything.

I'll say it again and again, Nigeria's leaders are USELESS! you're peeved that people are insulting your politicians, would anyone insult them if they're performing? Even in the US where the leaders work, some people still insult the leaders but you want us to shut up in a country with the most useless set of leaders.
So when you finish insulting them, what next? It makes you feel better for a second, but again I ask you what next?!

All this small children on Nairaland. No iota of respect even for people that are older than their parents. Your comment says alot about your upbringing and how you talk to your parents at home.
It's so shocking, all those comments on the first page, these are people in their 60s and 70s they are talking to like this. Agreed, there is a lot for the government to do, but insulting and being disrespectful to them from morning to night will NOT change a thing and is just not right

LMAO. But Sweden and Finland joined NATO. Those are more powerful countries than Ukraine which was the poorest country in Europe before the war.
I was actually about to say this can not be true until I checked online now and actually confirmed it's true! We truly learn every day. I had assumed it would be one of the eastern european countries, romania, albania and co that would be the poorest. Interesting.

She no need that one cheesy

I like her disposition too but she needs to take it easy on this man matter otherwise after a while no one will take her seriously. I pray she finds the right guy though cos she seems like a nice person.

PoliticsRe: Soludo, Archbishop Okeke In War Of Words Over Burial Of Priest’s Mother by yewit37486:
SmartPolician:
To be clear: the article mentioned that Governor Soludo didn't enact the law. The governor wanted them to abide by an existing law, which, if we are being honest, is very reasonable. I am just wondering the essence of spending a lot of money to bury people who are dead. Sometimes, with the way the so-called clergy behaves, you begin to wonder if they actually have the spirit of God in them.

These are the same people that usually give crazy terms and conditions to bereaved families before they can participate in funeral rites. Throwing a big party for dead people doesn't send them to heaven. The last time I checked: Catholics believe in praying for the dead so that God can accept their souls, not throwing a big party to impress people.
But that is the individual's CHOICE. You don't see the essence, others may do, it's a personal thing and that should be respected. It's just like if Dangote decides to bury his mum and he spends what he deems fit, there is a possibility other people might see it as lavish because he is a wealthy man, but as long as it's his money, no one should tell him how to spend it.

JASONjnr:
The problem we have is, tribalism....

If I condemn this, I will be called ipob or a Yoruba.... Simply because it's a northern affair.

The north literally don't speak up when issues are bordering other regions as well...

When it borders within the s/west and you complain, they will say I should go and tackle unknown gunmen.

Untill there's unity and irrespective of tribe, a Nigerian should be able to condemn crimes around the country without being bullied.

We're still learning to understand democracy and by the time we realise ourselves, I pray there's a little hope left for the country.
I keep saying this, but the two sides, Igbos and Yorubas, that are constantly fighting and posting tribalistic comments here are so filled with hatred in their hearts, they can't think straight about the wider implications of their actions.

Yep. If you knew the his history of the Nigeria's military, you would have seen it coming. Though, I don't know if it is like that in other countries too.
It is the same in the British Army, several women have committed suicide in recent times and a number have started speaking out now about sexual harassment and rape. Power is power, man is man.

This thing is very sophisticated, there is even digital currency (Ethereum, litecoin, and so on), on a particular fintech app, you can easily switch/convert from fiat to digital currency back to fiat ( £, $, Naira) as easy as the click of the finger.

Some vendors are selling fiat $, naira, some others bitcoin, litecoin e.t.c.

It is a decentralised system.
Hmm. Really interesting. Thanks for the explanation.
BusinessRe: 90% Of 2023 Diaspora Remittances Didn’t Get To Nigeria — Oyedele by yewit37486: 11:42pm On Jan 18, 2024
VeeVeeMyLuv:
they get their naira electronically! It depends on the amount.

The vendors there are very many. For instance you see some vendors having 1m naira, another 10m, another 100k minimum transaction and so on.
I mean the app owners who buy the foreign currency, how do they source their naira. Are those the ones you are referring to as the vendors?

Just thinking about it, I guess they could get naira from those who want to japa, renew foreign subscriptions etc, and exchange that with those selling £/$ and need naira, but still a tricky balance to get right.
