APC Chieftain and member of the Presidential campaign council, Contact & Mobilization, Hon Obidike Chukwuebuka has called on youths to dump the Presidential candidate of Labour Party and throw their support to Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Obidike who made this statement available to pressmen in Abuja said,” There’s hope for young people in 2023 and God won’t forgive us if we fail to deliver Tinubu in South-East. He told the youths that they are not voting for Tinubu to be just president of Nigeria, rather they are voting for Tinubu to change their lives and future”.

He, therefore charged Nigerians, particularly the youths to tighten their belts and ensure that they put all their support into action. He charged them to embark on massive reorientation of their supporters to avoid being enticed by the politicians of the other parties.

Obidike noted that his resolution to adopt Tinubu was not influenced by ethnic or religious sentiments but on the basis of credibility and competence. “In other words, we did not settle for Tinubu because he is a yoruba man or a Muslim but because we believe, judging from his leadership antecedents, that he possesses the competence and credibility to deliver Nigeria from the present mess.

He further described Tinubu as a divine candidate sent from above saying, “He is blessed and anointed by God to change the whole vices in Nigeria and I want to confidently tell you that Tinubu and Shettima will take Nigeria to the Promise Land.” Obidike concluded.

Christian Aburime, the Press Secretary to the Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has said his principal stands by his comments on a former governor of the state and the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

Soludo had dismissed the chances of the Labour Party flag bearer in the coming presidential poll and criticised the style of Ndigbo in its quest for the country’s number one seat in an article titled, ‘History beckons and I will not be silent.’

The article drew mixed reactions across the country and particularly on social media, where Soludo was heavily criticised.

Obi ruled Anambra between 2006 and 2014 on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance before he defected to the Peoples Democratic Party and later, Labour Party.

But speaking on the criticisms generated by the article, the aide of the former Central Bank Governor maintained that Soludo had the right to his opinion.

He said, “The governor is not feeling any way threatened even as the article has triggered series of backlashes, threats and criticisms. What the people should realise is that the governor only expressed his opinion, which is guaranteed by the constitution of the country and that opinion should not warrant threats or abuses.

“The governor’s son, Ozonna, did not disown what the father said. The trending article purportedly claiming that the son disowned what his father said did not emanate from Soludo’s son; it is simply the handiwork of mischief makers in order to blackmail the governor.

“It is not true that ‘unknown gunmen’ are threatening the governor to resign or be impeached. That report is false. Anambra people are behind Soludo and they are happy with what he is doing in the state.

“Nigerians all over the world are free to visit Anambra to see what the governor is doing. There is now law and order; all those impunity that used to be there before are no longer there.

“Soludo has no regret whatsoever because all he said has been said before and he should not be insulted for expressing his opinion.”

You support the useless druggie so your opinion doesn't matter. Peter Obi won't step down for anyone. Everyone should test their popularity. Shameless Fayose wants an outgoing Fulani man to hand over to another Fulani man while the rest of the country looks on.

Nigerians are tired of useless APC and PDP and ate looking for alternatives. If Peter Obi cannot get over 50 million Nigerians who don't vote every 4 years to vote this time, this election is likely going to end in a runoff.

Dear mr fayose if you are truly advocate of southern presidency then urge tinubu to step down for Obi because Obi has better chance than tinubu.

2023 election Will be One of a kind where traditional Old ways of politicians influencing votes Will be reduced to lowest.
Right now Obi controls both SE and SS with pdp sharing parts of south South too.
While tinubu only has SW which Will be except Lagos that will be a close contest.
Not forgetting pdp controls osun and Adeleke will definitely repay atiku back.
So in essence tinubu will win his stronghold but not with very wide margin.

With the Way southerners are queing behind Obi I won't be surprised if the North picks atiku as a consensus candidate because they knew the implications of splitting their votes between atiku kwankwaso and tinubu.
Atiku being their brother and More acceptable in the South than tinubu and also In a major party.
The choice won't be hard for them like they're already doing.

So it's for the best interest of the South if tinubu steps down for Obi.

Ayodele Fayose, former governor of Ekiti, says Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) will affect thr chances of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Fayose spoke on Thursday during an interview with Channels Television.

Obi had dumped the PDP in May for LP and clinched the party’s presidential ticket.

In 2019, the former Anambra governor was PDP’s vice-presidential candidate while Atiku Abubakar, former vice-president, was the presidential candidate.
The participation of Obi in the 2023 presidential election under LP has elicited speculations that the votes of the PDP may be divided in 2023.

Speaking on the development, Fayose said the former Anambra governor may not secure the required 25 percent of votes in two-third of the states to be declared winner.

The former Ekiti governor also asked the PDP to negotiate with the Obi and reconcile with the camp of the Nyesom Wike, governor of Rivers, in order to win the presidency.

“Obi is a danger to watch out for. I don’t believe Obi will make 25 percent of votes in two-third of the states of the federation,” he said.

“I’m not against Obi. I love him and he is a very vibrant leader. I don’t believe he will get the required 25 percent of votes because of my permutations as Ayodele Fayose, but with God, nothing shall be impossible.

“Let me say Obi is more of a chronic cancer to PDP and there is no denying.

“Let me give you an analysis. In south-west, people might not like to hear that, I don’t see how PDP will win. Anybody deceiving us can continue to deceive us.

“I don’t see how PDP will win in the south-east. South-south will be a combination of all interests. Let me come to the key states of the north.

“Without deceiving ourselves, there is so much work to do in the north-central. PDP and APC did not pick any candidate, either presidential or vice-presidential from the north-central. The north-east is where the vice-presidential candidate of APC came from.

“We will give Adamawa state to our party. Don’t forget there is still another Kwankwaso who is a semi-cancer that can equally upstage figures in the north.

“Reconciling or negotiating with Obi will be a good thing and finding a way to make peace with these Wike people will be a good thing too.”
