Visa application: I had to complete this on same 16th June I received the CAS as a result of the Forex which began fluctuating. Didn't have additional funds to add if it increased the next day, which it did 😅

TLS Submission (Ikeja): Self-service upload, same 16th June. I slept 12 midnight.

Biometrics: 27th June (standard visa)

Moved to DMC: 27th June

2 paid calls: within 21st-29th July

Moved to VAC: 2nd August

Collection Mail: 2nd August

Visa Collected at TLC Ikeja: 3rd August, today

All I can say is Grace spoke for me, because if I check the conversion, I fell short while using the Oanda rate 631.7 (converting from naira to pounds), but was within limits using 625.9 (pounds to naira) for the 16th June.

May that grace speak for everyone..

When was your biometrics and did you apply with family? I know a MA and his 3 dependants that got this mail today too. They did biometrics last week. He said the person assisting him with visa said he didn't have to worry as nothing was required of them.

I am trying to apply for a student visa(wife) and dependent (myself and our baby). Pof matures in 2 days but unfortunately £2k short of required pof. The pof is in wife’s name( main applicant) , I have about 3m scattered in 3 of my personal Acc which has bn there for abt 28 days. Is it advisable to submit 4 accounts, 1 from wife and the other 3 from myself. Or I should just start the pof all over again in one account ?

since you have about 3m scattered in some accounts, I'll advise you pay additional 2k from her tuition balance and request updated CAS from the institution

This is wrong. You're converting from naira to pounds, not pounds to naira.

Exactly! We should always stroll down to the part we have the average buy and average sell rates, and use the buying rate in red box, which is 989.21; that's the amount in Naira to buy 1 pound.

If we are to sell our pounds and collect Naira, that's when the rate is 985.099.

In short, selling rate is in green box while buying rate is in red box below

Family of 3, I use 21million as POF and with the rate Oanda price is increasing, I made anoda 7000pounds fees payment to my school yesterday Sheffield hallam. The total amount of fee deposit now is 10,000pounds.... Remaining 4385pounds...

My question is am I good to go with 21million in my acct for POF for family of 3 or I still need to add more money..... After paying 7000pounds yesterday and I Want to upload my receipt and inform the school to update my CAS...

You still need £25,832 Pof and that's about 26m, using 1000/£ exchange rate

My bro in Finland made the payment using convera. You should make payment using black market rate by either sending to someone you know abroad or fund your dollar account to make payment.

Note: pay directly to the school account so your payment can be confirmed in 24hrs as it will take about 2weeks for the school to confirm payment from convera

Your payment through Convera probably took 2 weeks cos payment was from Finland. Mine took 3 days for school to confirm it and it was paid by a friend in UK

This is not true. After paying 3,000 pounds, you will be issued CAS. Got admission last week from Sheffield Hallam University.

That was last week. A lot of conditions will change this week, due to the ban on dependants from 2024.

You need to write them to reschedule appointment. I did that when I missed my first and second appointments
