Gone are those days when we treck to our friends houses because we want to see them or have a message for them. Unfortunately at times, after having walked and gone through such effort to see them, what we meet is their "absence" due to lack of prior notice. We know how painful and disappointing that can be.

Never again are those days when breaking news were received on the television, radio or news papers. Sometimes , needless to say, the media outlets fed us with news that were either outdated or fabricated.

Today, we visit our friends lesser yet our friendship thrived, with the littlest effort we get updated information on things happening around us. Thanks to the internet!

Now you may wonder.. do people still visit media outlets? The answer is yes, but even they increasingly rely on the internet for a wider outreach. What an Irony!
Breaking news are first received online, like a bread baked and freshly brought out of the oven. Kudos to the social media. l can't afford not to mention organisations like Alison.com, EDX among others that are providing online education in various areas of discipline. Suffice it to say, learning is not only done in classrooms but also "online".

Need I mention Uber ? Committed to taking you anywhere with just a click away , Konga and Jumia are not lacking, they deliver goods to you at your pace.
Ever heard of mile12plus.com Order your soup according to your preference and all you need is just to get your appetite on because you are just a click away from this great service. Isn't it magical!

Even a little bit of romance is not left behind on the Internet, social media has brought so many couples together. No more stalking dudes, life is so much better!
Now the top trending social media are Whatsapp, Facebook, instagram, BBM and Twitter. Some peoples lives do turn upside down once they receive notification on their phones. Until they check the message, they won't remain the same.

A friend of mine is an Admin of a whatsapp group page "Lofty Readers Network" which is really a blessing to hundreds of people, myself included.
Freelancer.com provides people with the opportunity to get part time job without even seeing their clients.
What I am still saying is, remove Internet and the world will be at a complete loss!

So much to be said about things that are done online today, and they are great! The world won't forget those that have made these possible and those that are making good use of it. Maybe, i should announce my new website that will be launched soon ? Nah...I don't think so..

Let me draw your attention to the last part of this write up. Some 10-15 years ago, nobody will talk about Facebook like it is today, some 20 years ago, no one would think that most of the things being done online today will be possible. Now, why don't we think the unthinkable.

Probably, we will be having weddings being carried out online soon... picture this-where people won't need to gather together, but they will connect together online... with the ring and the vows....hmmmm, seems ridiculous? You never can tell but it will greatly save wedding cost and that of "asoebi"...... Weird, right ? I know..most of us will definitely miss the "Jollof rice."
What about a country on the internet? Where the citizens, policy and government will only exist online.
We might as well have online food? Crazy? Think about your gadgets disk space. Invisible, but yet it is getting full.

The future belongs to those who can see it before it happens.. Though, this ones are crazy and even creepy.

Business10 Things That Can Make You A Better Ceo by yinkuscious(op): 10:06am On Aug 05, 2016
An organization is like a car with four tyres, no need for an extra. If one is faulty, the car goes nowhere.
1. Don’t show favoritism of any of your employee – CEO who shows favoritism only makes the others less active and sometimes uncooperative by killing the team spirit within the organization.
2. Be committed to the Organization Core Values – Promote and demonstrate strong values, which can be translated into operational and relational standard. Being a model of the organization values as a CEO empowers the organization to be more focused and aligned. Be a reflection of what you want your organization and employee to be. Don’t break the rules!
3. Make your employee believe and feel that they are working with you and not for you – Employee’s productivity will always be on the increase when the work structure provides them the opportunity to develop themselves. A win-win system between the employer and the employee produces more effective workmanship. Also, as a CEO, be open to suggestions and the firm in decision. Build a diverse but unified team, where each person can contribute his unique strengths, where each person’s weaknesses are either strengthened or made irrelevant by the complementary strengths of others.
4. Be interested in their private life and show concern – Develop a personal relationship with your employee and provide them with the support they might need.
5. Settle dispute between two parties together and not individually – Only employee who wants to be bias listen to one side of a story regarding to dispute in an organization. Misunderstandings should be settled with all those concerned being together and not separately as this provides a clear picture of what might have actually transpired.
6. Prepare your employees for mistake and tell them how it can help them to be better - A CEO who provides no room for their employee to make mistake only puts them in a corner whereby when they make mistake, they try to cover it up and that can even be more damaging to the organization. Welcome mistakes, guide them on possible way out of it.
7. Appreciate them – A CEO should find it worthy of showing gratitude to their employees irrespective of them being paid for their services. The fact is, words like “thank you” “well done” “You did well” “You can do better” goes a long way to make employees feel they are really wanted and appreciated in an organization as those words aims for the heart. Also, pay them on time. If the job agreement is that you will pay them by the last day of the month, it must not be changed. In case of any challenge to that, communicate to them directly with an apology.
8. Delegate duties accordingly - Put people in charge. Make someone to be responsible for any task to be carried out. Don’t think they will mess it up.
9. Find time to discuss with them - Discuss where they are doing well and where they need to improve. Create an environment that will help individuals to discover, develop, refine and exercise their abilities.
10. Prepare them for a better tomorrow - You can’t have your employees with you forever. Talk to them about what they want to be remembered for when they leave the organization. If people live daily with the end in mind, it will make them to always be at their best.

CareerWhat Is Your Philosophy For Life ? - Share by yinkuscious(op): 8:24am On Jul 23, 2016
Almost everyone has a philosophy/believe about life. This philosophy often guides our attitude and how we respond to situations.
Mine is - No one can kill time, you can only kill a life. A wasted time is a wasted time. People often waste time because they can't see it and save money because they can see it. The truth is, time is more valuable than money.
