Call this thread anything u want, criticize, mark error, I don't care, I just need ur honest opinion, and pls no one should tell me to go make money.

We met some months ago, I got her contact, and u know the rest of this wooing tricks, but the issue is that she is always like I'm not interested and yet, each time we get to meet, she will like to know every details about me

If we talk on phone, she likes to know my current location, she even know some information about me, which I never disclose to her.

Call me a simp, I don't care, but naturally I'm not like this, I don't do this, I'm guided by my church rules, I'm not women freak, but I love her so much, the first time I saw her, I nearly lost my balance, I started having a breaking voice, when talking to her friends, I really love her, and no one should talk about any redpill here,

But today, I got frustrated, I was like, let's define this relationship, I'm not interested in all this ordinary friendship stuff, I didn't get close to u to have u as ordinary friend, I want us to date,
She was like this is all we can have together, friends!
But still, she won't stop interfering with my personal affairs,

Now I'm scared of not getting into friend zone, if u were me, will u try more to persuade her or u just leave her like that?

And pls, nobody should mention anything like "I'm the plan B" cos I know her so much, she is this churchy type, with strict doctrine, me getting her number sef, was a miracle,

So what do u think, am i been stylishly friendzone, or she is trying to forming hard to get and yet we won't stop talking about me.

I was friend zoned for one year and 1 months, she was always rejecting me, but still want to know things about me, now WE ARE MARRIED.

Business / Andy Jassy Takes Over As Jeff Bezos Steps Down As Amazon CEO by yinkuscious(m): 10:24pm On Feb 03, 2021
Jeff Bezos, Amazon CEO will be relieving himself of his post later this year as the company’s CEO, handing over to Andy Jassy, the company’s top cloud executive, based on the announcement made on Tuesday. The new development will see Bezos transitioning to Amazon’s board chairman.

Jeff Bezos, founded Amazon in 1994 and has since revolutionised the former online bookstore into a mega-retailer with global reach in different categories of products and services. Amazon surpassed a $1 trillion market valuation under Jeff’ management and leadership in January of 2020— current market valuation stands at over $1.6 trillion.

The company’s succession plan has been quiet, though speculated by onlookers that either Andy or Jeff Wilke, who is overseeing Amazon’s worldwide consumer business, would be Jeff’ successor. In August 2020, it was announced by Amazon that Wilke will be retiring in 2021. Jassy, will become CEO in the third quarter and he’s currently 53 years old.

Joining Amazon in 1997, Jassy has led Amazon’s Web Services cloud team since it started. AWS continues to generate large percentage of Amazon’s profit.

“I’m excited to announce that this Q3 I’ll transition to Executive Chair of the Amazon Board and Andy Jassy will become CEO,” Bezos stated in a letter to employees. “In the Exec Chair role, I intend to focus my energies and attention on new products and early initiatives. Andy is well known inside the company and has been with Amazon for as long as I have. He will be an outstanding leader, and he has my full confidence.”

The news was disclosed alongside an earnings report in which Amazon posted its first $100 billion quarter. AWS, under Andy, reported 28% revenue increase for the fourth quarter. As of October 2020, about 52% of Amazon’s operating income was attributed to AWS.

Amazon shares were about 1% up in Tuesday extended trading on the back of the earnings report and the C-suite news. So far in 2021, the company’s stock has gained about 4% and in the last 12 months has been up nearly 70%.

Brian Olsavsky, Amazon’s chief financial officer, on a media call said that the executive reshuffle was decided in consultation with the board of directors of Amazon. He further stated that Bezos will still be very involved and have his impact on lots of the company’s departments. Olsavsky stated that Jassy is a visionary leader who will be bringing his personal potential but that continuity is expected in the company in view of the transition.
Andy will be guiding the company through antitrust issues once he assumes his new position. In October 2020, after an investigation of about 16 months into competitive practices at big tech corporations that includes Amazon, the American House Judiciary subcommittee on antitrust concluded that monopoly power is been enjoyed by Amazon, Apple, Facebook and Google. Whereas, in the EU, Amazon is also facing antitrust issues.

Bezos buttressed that he will stay engaged in important projects at Amazon but will also have enough time to put his focus on the Bezos Earth Fund, his Blue Origin spaceship company, The Washington Post and the Amazon Day 1 Fund.

“As much as I still tap dance into the office, I’m excited about this transition,” Bezos said in his internal announcement. “Millions of customers depend on us for our services, and more than a million employees depend on us for their livelihoods. Being the CEO of Amazon is a deep responsibility, and it’s consuming. When you have a responsibility like that, it’s hard to put attention on anything else.”

Business / Henry Blodget Talk About The Leadership Advise Jeff Bezos As An Investor by yinkuscious(m): 9:10pm On Feb 03, 2021
Insider Inc. CEO Henry Blodget in a recent interview with stated that the Billionaire Amazon boss, Jeff Bezos gave him an invaluable piece of advice when the Billionaire invested in his media company.

Jeff Bezos, who is set to step down his CEO role at Amazon later this year, invested $5 million in Blodget’s upstart media company back in 2013. It was a six years old company at the time and known as Business Insider. In an interview on “Squawk Box,” he recalled a discussion he had with Bezos about splitting his time between management and editorial.
“I had been writing all the time. I was being an editor, and one of the things I asked him right after he invested was, ‘Listen, should I keep writing and doing TV and that kind of thing or should I stay CEO because the company’s gotten big enough that I really have to do one or the other?” Blodget said, he co-founded the company that is now known as Insider Inc. in 2007.

Bezos who responded by saying he only had one request as an investor, Blodget recalled. “He said, ‘I am going to beg you to say CEO.'” On Wednesday, Blodget, a former Wall Street analyst-turned entrepreneur, also described pressing Bezos on the reason. “[Bezos] said, ‘Because you don’t even realize it, but every day you are making dozens of little course corrections. You all are inventing a new model for journalism. You have an instinct as to where that’s going.'”

Blodget in his words said, Bezos also added, “‘If you bring in somebody else who is experienced, you’re going to want to give them a lot of room to make their own decisions. Those will take place over a long time and change things.’ He said, ‘I’m investing because I want you to make those course corrections.'”

Insider Inc. was later sold to German publisher Axel Springer in a deal valued at nearly $450 million in 2015. Blodget retains his title as CEO, but dropped the role of editor-in-chief in 2017.

Blodget shared his recollection on the conversation a day after Amazon announced Bezos will transition from CEO to executive chairman later this year. Andy Jassy will be taking over Amazon’s leadership after Bezos, who founded the giant e-commerce company over 25 years ago and turned it into a global behemoth worth nearly $2 trillion. Andy Jassy, a longtime Bezos compatriot, currently leads Amazon’s highly profitable cloud-computing business.

The Insider boss said he has confidence in Jassy, saying he thinks Amazon will “be in great shape for a while,” adding it’ll probably take three to five years before outsiders can determine whether the CEO change will “be a big deal.”

“With companies of this size, they are super tankers. They have enormous momentum,” Blodget said. “You can change several of the people at the top and you’re not going to see the impact from the outside for a long time because the company will continue to do what it’s raised to do.”

Before his tenure as Insider Inc. CEO, Blodget had a long relationship covering Amazon as a closely watched Wall Street internet analyst during the dot-com boom. In December 1998, while working for brokerage firm CIBC Oppenheimer, he issued a notable price hike on Amazon, and shares soared 19% in the following session.

Career / Which New Skill Would You Like To Learn? by yinkuscious(m): 9:32am On May 20, 2020
I was having a discussion with some young people yesterday about the effect of the coronavirus pandemic on global economy, especially Nigeria.

Most of them want to learn digital skills that can afford them the opportunity to make money right from the comfort of their home.

Some wants to learn data Analytic, while one wants to learn pastry and cake.

Which skill do you want to learn as the world face a new level of economy turn around?
Business / Covid-19: How To Bullet Proof Your Business by yinkuscious(m): 8:35pm On Apr 24, 2020
It is my pleasure to be here to share with you on a topic that is so dear to me and perhaps, will be the reality of everyone during and after this whole pandemic brouhaha.

Let me reiterate this fact as I proceed; *things will never return to the exact way they used to be*

A change is here!

22 millions of people filed for unemployment in the USA within 5 weeks.

Right now in Nigeria, some people have lost their jobs, and some will not find theirs again.

A change is here!

Amidst all these global unrest and civil outcry, it will be surprising to note that some companies have emerged as masters of the economy and are raking in so much profit.

Some business owners will spend all their savings during this situation and be in search of loan to scale up immediately after.

Companies that are into event planning and management, aviation, entertainment and others are reported as top losers. With aviation loosing over $300b in the past weeks.

My focus here is to give us not just a tip, but a projection of how to scale up during and after this pandemic.

I mentioned earlier that despite all these unrest, some companies are making so much than they expected. These are digital companies.

Companies that can survive without any physical presence.

While people have been staying at home globally, Netflix service subscription keeps increasing, the subscription on irokoTV keeps increasing, lots of people are watching funny Instagram videos and so on.

These companies have projected themselves to thrive regardless of the situation.

If we are to stay at home for 1 year, do you think your business will still be able to feed you?

The quick solution is - we have to digitalize our ideas and business.

*Until your business can make money while you're in your bedroom, without a physical contact, your business isn't safe*

For those that are employed, private companies especially will consider lots of options to cut logistics and expenses after this pandemic period.

Right now, it is obvious some people can actually work from home.

So, if you don't have the skills that can afford a place in the global economic revolution, then you better find your way into gaining those skills.

I am Olajide Ola'Emmanuel, a Digital Media Executive and Business Development Associate.

Business / Patronization Is Based On Perception by yinkuscious(m): 11:35pm On Jan 30, 2020
**

The reason why some people won't dare go to federal palace hotel to make an enquiry, not to talk of have a meal is because they perceive it isn't for people of their class.

Some people won't patronize a venture because they perceive it is either low or higher than their class.

There is a perception hovering around every individual and business.

Some businesses are entirely perceived to serve both the lower class, middle class and the upper class.

Where some are perceived to solely serve the upper class. In same way, some are perceived to solely serve the middle class or the lower class.
There are places poor people will never go to.

There are places the rich will never buy from.

How are you as an individual or your business perceived?

Is your business perceived to serve the populace of the poor or perceived to serve the minority of the rich?

You have to find a balance.

Perception in itself gives the client a sense of satisfaction. You can call it a distant first impression

If you're a producer, it is expedient you define your target audience.

Apple will become irrelevant the day everyone can afford it, because they're not just selling a product, but with some ego boosting substance.

Shoprite will never stop opening its doors to different classes of people, because it is perceived to serve all classes of people.

Do you want to serve the majority of the lower class and middle class or the minority of the upper class?

Don't just sell to meet want or need - sell a sense of belonging as well.

Business / What To Do When You Are Not Getting Your Desired Result by yinkuscious(m): 8:36am On Jan 18, 2020
You're not alone.
I know the pain of putting so much strength, creativity and effort into a course and not get your desired result.

Success comes with motivation by default. The same way credit alert can change your mood. ☺

It isn't everyone that can pick motivation in something that isn't working.

You'll be tempted to quit.
I'm actually not writing this to motivate you, but I want you to get going.

You must be sure you're doing the right thing.

Let's say you've tried several ideas and you're still not where you want to be, then you have to try some other things.

Creativity and ideas are infinite. You can't exhaust creativity.

If one isn't working, you try another - till you'll get a working one.

Ask for help. Look for people around, especially people that are in same industry as you.

Be humble enough to ask for help and be ready to pay the price of being helped.

Business / Don't Project What You Don't Have Capacity For. by yinkuscious(m): 10:48am On Jan 17, 2020
There's this hotel at Iwo Road area in Ibadan with a beautiful sign post.
At that moment, if I was in need of an hotel service, I would make that hotel my choice.

This beautiful sign post of theirs made me look around for where the hotel building is located.

Few minutes after moving forward in the vehicle, I saw a building with the name of the hotel, right by the road side.

I couldn't believe the building I was seeing is the same hotel I was looking forward to see.

In case you're wondering what the hotel looks like, think of any old storey building that is like 50 year old.

I was really disappointed. Definitely, all those pictures that are on the signpost are from google. I doubt if that hotel has such facilities.

That's how some people will put things they cannot do on their CV.

Don't project what you don't have capacity for.

Career / They Are Not Better Than You, They Are Just Courageous by yinkuscious(m): 7:49am On Jan 16, 2020
They are not better than you, they are just courageous.

Have you ever been in a situation where you're scared to pick your client's call or to call your clients?
Have you ever been in a situation where you're holding your phone for over 30 minutes, rehearsing what to say to the client you want to call, while your heart keeps beating fast?

I have been in the two situations above, and I was later disappointed in myself after calling, because I made a mountain out of a plain ground.

There was a time I delayed calling a prospective client for over 2 weeks because I wasn't confident enough.

When I later called, he happened to have been expecting my call.

I have been in an Executive Director's office, where sweat descended on my like rain immediately I was called in for a meeting.

When I started my service presentation to the Director, he was willing and eager to award the deal to me immediately.

The truth is, fear will not get you anywhere, it will only keep you in the illusion of your insufficiency.

Fear will not allow you progress, it won't allow you make those calls to your prospective clients.

Fear won't allow you enter that office as a stranger, whereas they might currently be in dire need of your service.

Those you think are doing well than you, they're probably not better than you, they are just courageous.

They will go to those places you're scared of going. They will make those calls you're scared of making. They will introduce themselves to those people you're scared of introducing yourself to.

If you're one of those who won't launch your product/service because of what people will say or think, then you need get delivered from the demon I'm talking about.

Courage will make you knock on doors that are not opened (politely). The worse any man will say to you is either a yes or no..lDon't close your mouth, when you're to open it.

There is an experience only you can offer this world and if you don't, the world may never experience it. You are that important. There is an experience only you can offer this world and if you don't, the world may never experience it. You are that important.

To the emergence of your courageous self.

Dear business owner,
Most of the time when people ask - how is business?, they expect you to say "fine" or the other way.

If you tell your reality, some might think you don't know how to do it.

Well, the reality is - it isn't always fine. There are days you'll cry, days you'll embarrass yourself, days you'll want run away from everything, days you'll lose money and days of confusion.

It can be so easy to tell people of our success stories, but the ugly stories that made up our journey can be difficult to share.

Don't be deceived by social media, we all have our ugly stories, but we just don't post them on Social media.

Keep building and keep moving.
Nigeria depends on you, Africa is waiting for you.

Business / How My Dad Scammed Me And My Brother As A Child by yinkuscious(m): 11:18pm On May 27, 2019
My Dad played a funny joke on me and my brother one day.
We just got back from school and about to enjoy the rice and egg Mama prepared for us for lunch - then, my Dad entered. Excitedly, we jumped up to greet him and he ushered us back to our food.
As we were about to eat, that was when my intelligence and that of my brother was played on.

My Dad said he was hungry as well. We both decided to give him some share from our rice, that wasn't all.
As Yoruba boys, we're trained to eat the meat/egg/fish after the main food, I don't know why our parents see this as home training. Lol

After the rice, myself and my brother were left with one egg each. So, Dad told us to give him half of our eggs each, in his words, he said he doesn't want to bother us.
We were both comfortable with the deal, we have him half from our eggs, myself and my brother ate half.

It was some years ago, when I remembered this particular day that I concluded that Dad actually scammed us. Lol

He ate a whole egg, while we both fed on half each, but he told us he doesn't want to bother us.

Back then, it make no sense to me, but today, it is clear that our Pops weighed our intelligence.

Most things we do today as young people, we most time don't think about tomorrow.
Young people most times tend to make some juicy decisions, but by the time they're older, they definitely would feel cheated, used, and foolish.

If you own a business, and someone is willing to invest in it, you can because of your excitement and naivety not think through about the whole deal.

Whatever you're doing today, that probably sounds cool and exciting you at the moment, it definitely might not make sense in 5-10 years time.

Always ensure to have people who can see beyond now within your circle.
People who can wake you up from a 1 minute non-futurustic excitement.
