Please when travelling with minors, do one need to fill in a separate Passenger Locator Form for each of the Children? |
Please if applying for dependants (4 dependants) after the main applicant has arrived in the UK and in school for about 3 - 4 months, does the main applicant need to book and pay for new accommodation to accommodate all before applying for them? Because all I can see on the requirement for dependant is POF and other documents but no mention of accommodation. Someone kindly enlighten me. @Justwise and others that have personal experience or knows someone that have. Thanks. |
CAS is a prerequisite for your student visa application. Without the CAS number you can't successfully complete your student visa application. You MUST have your CAS before you complete your application form. badlands: |
Are you doing PHD or Master's? I doubt your visa duration is for 16months. Your vignette duration is for 90 days for Masters, this I know. For your dependant I think you need to input your own course start and end date at the visa validity period. I am not sure, please wait for others to make input. pinkasso: |
It's £470 per year. If you are applying for a year course, your BRP will actually last for more than a year (I think a year and four months or so). What this means is that the IHS fee to pay will be 1year+6months, which will be 470+235=£705. For a one year program you will pay £705. For 3 years program you will pay £470+£470+£470+£235=£1645 Yemzzyy: |
swazee:After you pay your deposit, you need to book for VPS which is the same as pre-CAS interview. I will advise you pay on time and contact the Nigeria representative to book you for the interview ( the dates for the interview are getting filled SO fast). Lastly you will need to upload your POF and bank reference letter on your student portal before your CAS can be issued. Once you meet all these conditions and upload your POF, your CAS is released within 12 to 72 hours. |
I did and I have gotten my visa, infact the visa was approved 2 days after my biometric based on the date on my BRP letter. I agree the quality is poor, but if you insist you want a better quality they will use a good printer. That was exactly, what I did. What was printed initially for me was a very poor quality with black ink stamp and signature in black biro. Everything looking like a poor quality photocopy. I insisted I won't take it because am paying for it and that other banks have a better quality statement. STANBIC is bigger than this and the quality is taking away from their brand with small shakara that I did at that branch. They started begging me and printed a better quality with a purple ink stamp and signature in blue biro. Again if they are re-printing you need to be sure they are re printing exacting the first statement they gave you.compare the two and ensure its the same, both Inflow and outflow percentage and the transactions. Some schools actually have arrangement for their students who book accommodation with them to quarantine at a specially arranged place at no extra cost except for the normal school accommodation fees. They also have arrangement for complimentary feed and groceries during the quarantine period. I will advise you contact your school, if you plan to use school accommodation and ask if such arrangement is available. hustla: |

Josh121:You can actually do walking same day you write your name. Just go to TLS very early, as early as 6am. Ask if there is a list of name for walk in, if not then get a sheet and generate one and try and coordinate the list, once TLS officials starts coming out to arrange their steel barricades let walk-in people start to line up according to their number on the list (line close the side of the gate for enquires and don't block the normal applicants with appointment. This was exactly what happened today and about 35 people (nos 1 - 35) based on the list were allowed in today for walk in even though the list had over 80 names. At about 9:30am or so 30 walk-in were already allowed inside. |
folaranmi1009:You have to be really persuasive, because they will keep telling you it rests with the head office and there is nothing they can do. Be persuasive and let them know the delay is causing you a lot as your deadline for payment is fast approaching. |
folaranmi1009:To be honest if the money has been converted to Pounds and you can see the pounds in your account via your banking app, all that needs to be done is for the customer service of the branch you raised the form A to call the invisible department at the head office to complete your transaction. You need to go to the branch and try and get them to do that on your behalf. I will advise you go very early, as early as 8:15am and get them to that. If it's done, on or before 11am same day the money should be paid to the school and your telex emailed to you. |

Good afternoon. Please for the POF, is it a must I do a transaction on my account on day one and on day 28th day before printing out the statement? Or can I just leave the POF in the account for 28 days without performing any transaction and go ahead and print out on the 28th or 29th day? Because I saw a friend's statement today that had only two transactions within the 28 days (14/5/21 - 7/6/21) which are bank interest paid at the end of May and VAT deducted from the interest paid and he is confused as to if the statement of account is in order. Please someone help to clarify. Thanks. |
K4daniel:They have created all the accounts. The money has been converted to Pounds and it's in the Pounds account. I called them this morning, they said I should give them 5 working days that if not settled by then I should call. According to them they have plenty request which they treat on first come first serve basis. Thanks. |
Optimally:Thanks |
Optimally:I don't have the app. I tried setting it up some months back but got stocked at a point and left it. In fact I didn't collect ATM card for that particular account. The Forex was bought on Thursday, which I got an alert for the Naira debit and another for the Forex credit that very day. Since then I have not gotten any other alert |
Optimally:Thanks Optimally for your advise on Form A two weeks ago. I used Zenith and was debited last week Thursday (5 working days). I am yet to get my telex, I was at the branch the following day (last Friday) and I was giving a debit advise instead. Do you have any idea how may days it takes for the telex to be ready with Zenith? |
Optimally:Thanks |
2nex:Thanks |
K4daniel:THANKS A LOT |
nattty:If you send IOM a mail and call them that you have challenges booking online, they will book appointment for you from their end and send you the details. Their reply might take a week, but keep calling and sending reminders and you will get a response. |
Optimally:Please I need your input on Form A with Zenith bank. Kindly advise me based on your experience. Am tilting towards zenith bank for Form A , which I plan to process tomorrow. Please how many days did it take for your payment to be processed? I want to know if it's fast enough or if I can get another bank that is faster. Help a brother. Thanks. |
Optimally:@Optimally, How many days did your form A took in Zenith bank for the payment to be processed? Also, do you think it's branch dependent or all the branches have equal opportunities for processing time. Thanks |
Please can anyone advise the fastest bank for now to process form A. Am looking at Zenith bank, is it a good choice? Can someone please advise me if I should stick to that or otherwise. Please I need advise from anyone and everyone that have paid using form A. Thanks |
2nex:Ideally the bank should send it to you, but you can ask from your bank. Please what bank did you use and how many days did it take from the day you filled and submitted form A for the total amount to be deducted from your account? |
Good Morning All, Please has anyone used or know someone that used Zenith bank for FORM A to pay school fees recently? If yes, please what was your/their experience? Also, what rate was used for Pounds (GBP) and how many days did it take for the payment to be made? Thanks |
ekpotek:Thanks alot. |
@ekpotek, @justwise. My daughters got their first 6 month UK visas early August 2018. We were meant to travel in September as a family but duty calls at my place of work and we couldn't make the trip as earlier planned. Now am planning we travel for Christmas this year, I hope there won't be any issue with my daughters at the airport here in ikeja and at the transit port as to why they have not use their visas since August. I have been to the uk thrice and still have a valid visa. Thanks for your response |
