Please I got July 23 this morning, TLS ikeja. And I even got a confirmation email with but my application is still saying appointment date not yet set. Has anyone experienced this? Should I rebook another appointment?

Hello All,
please does anyone knows how to track the progess of administrative review.
I applied for AR since 18th May, 21 and there is no response yet.
I even sent email to administrative.enquiries@homeoffice.gov.uk and still there is no reply nor feedback.
I even did paid email too , no response.

Can one quarantine in the school hostel or another city?

Like if your school is Teesside, can you quarantine in their hostel or with a friend in say, Coventry?

For hostel, not sure about that because except you’ll be ordering food daily, you’re not allowed to mingle or go out much except on your test days..
As for Coventry, don’t really know about that though

Don’t really know UK and their protocols work
Best bet is stay within your university location and where you’ll keep up your biometric card or whatever they call that permit

You are only allowed to collect your BRP within ten days after your quarantine. You can't collect BRP when quarantining

God finally did it for me after the whole struggle and worry, I got my study visa last month June to the glory of God.

@HSpecial no, that's not related to visa application in anyway. It's the deadline for submission of documents at the school (Teesside) portal.

Some schools actually have arrangement for their students who book accommodation with them to quarantine at a specially arranged place at no extra cost except for the normal school accommodation fees. They also have arrangement for complimentary feed and groceries during the quarantine period. I will advise you contact your school, if you plan to use school accommodation and ask if such arrangement is available.

Yeah, I know that, I mentioned that in respect to staying in another place rather than your school location during quarantine, which I also mentioned being “tentative” because I’m not sure how it works,
I never mentioned getting your brp during quarantine period

Is it after paying the 2000 deposit that they ask for interview?
If so, what are you going to do about the deposit you have paid if you leave them now?

Cos my wife applied the same Northumbria University and have paid for tuition deposit ?

I am grateful for this thread and all the contributors. They made my visa application seamless while I was on it. It is a huge reservoir of knowledge. One advise I would give prospective student is this. When seeking admission, if aligns with your plans, pick January start over September start(that's if, Jan start is available in your intended school). Why? You get upto three(four in some cases) months of holiday where you can work full time). If you are a hardworking and resourceful person you can use this period to save up some reserve. But before you do, please confirm from your school if they can issue you a term date letter. This shows the period when you will be on in term time and on vacation. Most employers would require it during your holiday, when you intend to work full time. You can always confirm the status of you right to work from this link https://www.gov.uk/prove-right-to-work . you might have to show these to some employers if they have issues with changing you from part-time to full-time (as some of them are clueless, when if comes to these matters). You can actually earn up to a little less than 2k(monthly) at just above min wage rate working 48 hrs a week. Also a prudent lifestyle would also help one save up more.
