It is better for kids to finish high school here, before sending them abroad.

There are still good boarding schools. I think it is a good decision you about making.
Good boarding school? 😂

You probably never went to one or you went long long ago. Boarding school has a lot of benefits but “good” is highly contextual. it might be a solution to op’s issue but it doesn’t guarantee anything. She will learn independence and life skills there for sure, which isn’t bad

Hey 🤠

@MrSoftlife I know you are part of the people that does not want Slave Trade to end .

*** But let me ask you this question ... ARE YOU PEOPLE FINDING IT DIFFICULT TO POINT OUT " Meaning " OUT OF AN ESSAY or WRITE UP ?

**** Of all my response , THE ONLY THING YOU COULD POINT OUT IS HAVARD UNIVERSITY 😃

1. I used Havard University as a case study .. I DID NOT SAY APPLY TO HAVARD UNIVERSITY . Go back and read very well and if it's only Havard your eyes can see let someone interpret the piece for you .

2. For your information, let me teach you this ... There is no Unpopular Universities in the United States , Any University that is able to Issue Form I 20 is reputable enough to admit International Students .

3. Ganging up in criticizing genuine information or NEW INNOVATION will just keeps all of you stagnant .

4. I am not proving too know , most of what i say here is through personal research , 45% via Google references , and 20% via phone calling of friends and families in the United States .

5. I just discovered that there are too many of you OLD BOTTLES on NL who does not want Nairaland to grow . ARE YOU PEOPLE HAPPY WITH CONSTANT VISA REJECTION ?

6. Someone applied for MBA five (5) times with visa failure, and the guy came to his senses by asking question on Nairaland ..I advised him to try do a new thing and @ Naijalarry said he should go ahead on the 6th attempt with the same MBA ...WHY huh

Best Wishes 🙏
Hello again, good day sir. You gave me useful advise earlier, I am doing my mba in France but want to move to USA for fall intake later. I have another question if you’re able to help, my bsc was in engineering, I am doing mba in France and I got admission to study IT in USA, but you advised that I may have issues convincing visa officer.
I thought of something, is it possible to simply defer my USA admission till the end of my mba here in France, while I apply for a visit visa right away (it should be valid for five years) then enter USA at the end of my program with visit visa, go to my school in USA, get I-20 and head to consulate to change my status to F1 visa.
Is this a workable plan? How feasible/possible is this?

Thanks again

No one, including Tinubu, can easily intimidate me within Nigeria.

If they insist it's illegal, then we go to court. It's not the duty of the police to decide that.

*** You have to be very tactical and plan very well with your New Found Love (USA) because as a Nigerian studying in France and wanting to move to the United States while still on a study visa in France might look like a trick to many Consular officers . They are wiser in that Aspect .

1. The process to obtain an F1 visa is almost a mathematical process Worldwide (same thing). Therefore , nothing is too complex in obtaining your visa. But if you are in your 2nd year in France and have being maintaining lawful resident then you are good to go.

2. F1 visas for new students can be issued up to 365 days in advance of the start date for a course of study.  But , you will not be allowed to enter the United States more than 30 days prior to the start date of your program .

3. Go and pay your SEVIS fee . Pay MRV (visa fee) . Fill your DS 160 and upload photo ...US embassy in Paris just introduced a new DS 160 but it's not anything different and Book your appointment.

4. Type USA embassy in France (Google) and go through the non immigrant section . You can do it yourself except if you are EXTREMELY BUSY .

5. Be ready to answer your future US Consular officer the following questions ;

** Why are you leaving your study in France to the US ?

** Do you have any relative in the USA ?

*** Why did you not transfer your credit to the US Institution ?

**** When is your school resuming ?

Best Wishes 🙏
Thanks very much for your submission

Good day All.

I am in France on a student visa currently. I have secured admission to a school in the USA and I have a sponsor as well. My school in the US resumes late 2024 but I would like to apply for my visa in January or February 2024.

The process to apply outside nigeria is quite different and complex which brings me to my question; who has a working and comprehensive guide on how a Nigerian student in France can apply for USA study visa.

I have used YouTube and google but I’m here for more insight so any kind of experience and information related to my case is welcome.

Gracias
I don’t really like your political beliefs and opinions but this is the truth. Dollar isn’t our problem, greed is, India, korea and others have very poor value compared to the dollar but they are doing okay because they’re not greedy. And even if we assume dollar is the problem, somehow it can still trace back to the greedy Nigerians buying up the supply and hoarding

The government know what to do to help these businesses to grow.
They need to do something to keep them afloat.

But in some cases though,
The internal staff ran this businesses down with looting and stealing.
Many indigenous companies have been ran down by the staff they employ.
A good example below....

Nigerians are the problems of Nigeria.......for real!

Greed and Dishonesty, the two main problems of an average Nigerian.
Read along to understand our reasons for saying so......

(N.B : If you are a fraudster and criminal on Nairaland,
Skip to the next post or you may not survive reading this)

*HOME TRUTH*

I run a manufacturing business and a trading business.
The biggest challenge in my manufacturing business is not power, or infrastructure, the biggest challenge is getting honest staff.
Everyone we hire appears to be on a mission to steal as much as possible.
Inflated invoices, recording less than the actual number of units produced.
The worst part of it all is that all the fraud we've uncovered is not done by a single person, it's usually many staff who collude with each other, from production, to sales, to finance, even top management.
There was a year I overhauled management 3 times in a year.........
But me, I've found a solution sha, I now use Indian management.
So competent, so honest and so straightforward.
I thought they were expensive at first with all the visa fees, accommodation, house staff, but now that losses due to staff theft have been reduced to a minimum, and efficiency increased, the Indian management has turned out to be cheaper than the previous Nigerian management.
Now, all sensitive positions involving money go to Indians. Nigerians are only allowed in non-sensitive positions.
I used to criticize companies like Dangote Group that hire so many Indians when there are many unemployed Nigerians, but now, I understand their decision.

My biggest challenge in the trading business is the same, getting honest staff.
The form of trading occurs in the open market, and involves staff having access to huge sums of money running into a few millions.
I know how much I pay to security companies to provide escorts for the staff, not to prevent robbery, but to ensure that the staff go straight to the bank to deposit the money after the day's sales and not disappear with my money.
This money spent on security companies is even enough to be declared as profit.
We have to spend on CCTV, biometric scanners and other things that wouldn't be needed if staff weren't looking for the slightest opportunity to steal.

It got so bad at a point that my main criteria for employing staff was no longer competency but honesty.
At least, competency and skills can be learnt, but once you're dishonest, you're dishonest.

We always complain of the economy and how there are no jobs.
I know people abroad who would have loved to set up job creating businesses in Nigeria but they can't because they can't get any trustworthy person to run it.

I know people in Nigeria with so much money, they want to start factories and other job-creating businesses but they can't because they are occupied elsewhere and can't get any trustworthy person to run the business.
So instead of investing in the real sector and creating jobs, they'll just buy treasury bills,
while the thieves are shouting no jobs.

Many big businesses would have been born in Nigeria if we could engage in partnerships, but we cant because you can't trust anyone.
This is one advantage the Indians and Lebanese have over us in Nigeria.
They can pull resources together and do mega-business, unlike Nigerians that because only one person must do everything since we can't partner, end up with small, tiny businesses.

Start a poultry and they will be stealing your eggs. Some will even go ahead to be killing the chickens so that they'll be allowed to take them home.

Start an entertainment/viewing/game center and they'll be pocketing your money.
On the days you're around at the business, the money realized will be x10 of the money realized when you're not around.....
Because they're eating your money.

Lease out a vehicle to a driver to use and watch as he'll finish you.

Start a restaurant, the same thing will happen. More than half of the total food ingredients will end up in their personal kitchens.

Even ordinary provisions shop, they will find a way to steal.

You'll see them with that their evil, wicked saying "na where person dey work, na there e dey chop, na e make dem dey callam workchop/workshop"...... Just imagine, justifying theft at work.

And you'll see these people point their crooked fingers at politicians when they're not any different. I usually say the reason most Nigerians haven't stolen billions of government money, is simply lack of opportunity.

*On every level, Nigerians are the problem of Nigeria*.

If the truth wanna kill the online fraudsters and criminals we have on Nairaland,
you guys should better die now.
We will continue to hit your head as much as we can with the truth and be against your fraudulent lifestyle ALWAYS.
For all the scams you have scammed innocent people all over the world, and they end up committing suicide or becoming homeless, and y'all here thinking you are living large, kid you not, you will never enjoy that fraudulent money, it will lead you to your grave soonest. (You can keep hating honest, and hardworking members on this forum, but some of us will continue to kill you with the truth.)
Only if God doesn't exist.
Thieves, Barawos everywhere
.

**********************************

GREED!!!

When we say we are our own problem they start grumbling.....

Okay listen to these examples:

1. You sell chicken and add over 40% profit ,you are happy forgetting that the person that bought the chicken sells tomatoes and pepper.

2. The tomatoes and pepper seller has to recover the excess she paid for the chicken, so she adds her own 42% profit margin.

3. Teacher will come and buy these 2 items with what? She has no other alternative than to increase lesson fees or school fees.

4. You will go and rent house from a landlord who has paid excess for cement, sand, chicken, tomatoes and pepper, lesson fees, how will he meet up if not by increasing his house rent by 60%.

And the circle continues, it is not about dollars, dollars is just an excuse, abi wetin concern garri, beans and yam with dollars.

The problem is you and I and our excessive greed.

Only a fraudster or criminal will be wailing about our above post.
We hope you ain't one of them kiddo?
If so, we understand your weeping about the honest truth.
No wonder you are your fellow children are always wailing and in serious pains reading our posts here.
The earlier, the better for you.
Advice from the elders kiss

Sure we do get the good ones among the youths.

Only sane, honest and hardworking Nairalanders like you will definitely like our answers and comments,
Not the miserable fraudsters aka, children of hate, frustrations and perdition that abound here.
God bless your legit hustle man.
It will end in praise for you.
I totally understand you. Some people on nairaland are very dumb. This is someone's sister and they want to still form alpha male. On top your own blood.
Anyway the needful is for you to detach, it's the cold truth. But speak to your mum first and see what she knows/thinks about it first.

Cooolme:
I've not experienced such before tbh, I grew up being loved and very bad at this detachment game y'all claim to have (learning tho) but someone you Video call, talk with for hours just stop communicating with you totally when you know you did nothing wrong, it's weird now. In this case it's not a friend or partner rather a very close relative you have a strong bond with.
I have time on my hands though, it's my grumble not yours.

Congratulations to y’all and thanks for the simple explanations in this forum. Please my own question is how much is the total cost to study in a public university going through CF. From the cost info I’ve gathered in the thread so far, I have:

CF registration- 50k
Visa fee - €99
Tuition Fee -€350/250
Accommodation - €400 (1 month to get certificate)
Studapart fee - €140
Health Insurance - €50 (3 months 4rm search engine)
Bank Statement balance - €615*12 + some excess cash
3 month living expenses - €1500 (search engine)

Please is this draft correcthuh Please help amend or add the missing ones please October is almost here 🙏🙏🙏
The process is much more complicated than this and quite difficult to explain at once. Take it stage by stage.

For now, gather your documents complete and research on your desired program, school's acceptance rates and everything you need to know about the schools pros and cons.

When it's time for the next stage, you can think about that.

Ps to find school of less than €1000 isn't that easy, so research well.

I work in a company and we deal in cash.
There's no way I'm able to provide payslips and a statement of account to back it up.

Pls will this affect my chances of getting visa?
There's something called salary certificate that states you were paid in cash. You can request it from your employer.
Anyhow since you have a sponsor, you won't be needing that.

How possible is that? Most of the schools have closed for summer break and won’t resume until the last week of August.
I said someone said it, I don't know for sure but it sounds logical. Besides a school being on break doesn't mean some administrative staff are not available for enquiries.

Really hoping for the best.. I’m expecting a feedback in a week or so.

Please who knows exactly how long it takes to get a feedback for study visa application?
Please can you share the link you used to book your vfs appointment? And do the visa payment and all? The link campus France gave me is showing 404 error.

Hello

1)No I haven’t gotten a feedback yet, i guess it due to the past holidays. Though in general it takes about two weeks, mine is not up to a week yet.

2) At campus france i was asked why i choose france, why i picked my course, what i do for a living in Nigeria, how i intend to fund my academics as I don’t have a sponsor, how relevant i think my course is for my career path and then what i plan to do after the master programme. Then the officer also checks all your documents and make sure everything is complete

3) For accommodation, i got an accomodation from safe house, as advised by campus france, The certificate cost 250 euros. I Printed it and submitted at vfs.

4)I’m not aware of any telegram or whatsapp group
Also, how many months pof did you have to submit? And how long does the money have to stay in your account.

For your bank statement, did you generate from the app and print or you entered the bank to obtain the statement as hardcopy?

Yes its fine, so long as its more than your school fees plus an extra 615 euros X your number of months in france.
Please does the POF need to sit in my account for a particular number of days?

For example UK students need the money to have stayed in their accounts for about one month.

What's the pof duration for France please?

Private schools are still open, you can apply to them directly or go with credible agents. Schools that are opened :
• HEC Paris
•Paris School of Business
•Inseec
•Neoma school
•EMLV
•Burundry School of Business
•Emlyon business school
•IESEG
• Skema business school
• Insead
•Junia school of engineering

And much more. It would be good to apply by yourself but know that you are competing among the different nationalities so going for credible agents to help with your application is really the best idea. @studyinfrance.africa (Instagram, Twitter etc)has partnership with some of the schools listed here. I prefer this agency because they helped me get into IESEG (a top business school in France, and I received a merit-based scholarship too.
