Evryone thinks Obi would negatively affect Atiku more than BAT, in the scenario where OBI dosent narrowly wins. lets have a review again.

OBI emergence will pull SS and SE from equation, making tinubu to be left with SW against a Northerner(NE,NW,NC)

trusting Northerners to vote him. becasue of only religious extremism (MM), is not enough.
and SW(Being headquarters of christian worship centres), may not give him any hypothetical block votes of like 95% or so, and that wont defeat Northern votes.

BAT straying away from southern votes to depend on loyalty from Northerners against thier own, is a really big mistake, tinubu cant pull the ABIOLA spirit, Nigeria has gotten more complex than that.

with obi or without, I think TINUBU is really disadvantaged, depending on how strong OBI movements are, BAT may end up as a close third,(because SS and SE Votes are like 3x SW votes, with Obi strong presence amongst Christian yorubas.

Please point of correction, in Yoruba land both Muslim and christian are one because we marry one another. I am a christian and my elder brother is a Muslim. Trust me, we are going to vote for Tinubu because he has capacity to deliver. When you hear we Yoruba christian would not vote for Muslim -Muslim candidate, that writer is not Yoruba person because Yorubas are too intelligent to involve in religion sentiment.

The SW will give Obi some votes no doubt but BAT will win his geo political zone,the danger however is that ,the SW does not give block votes,so BAT must rely on votes from North and that is where he will have to contend with northers like Atiku and Kwankwaso who are banking on the northern votes.

Obi' emergence is affecting everything and everyone in 2023 election,it is affecting Atiku in the South,and this will make Atiku concentrate more on northern votes and unfortunately that is where BAT is also relying on,so you can see how Obi is directly and indirectly affecting BAT

Indeed, you proved me right again, Yorubas vote sentimentally , like they would rather vote a dead Yoruba man than vote a living Igbo man. No doubt about that, but we have seen the new crop of yorubas saying no especially as they have mixed race in them being intermarriage, their level of tolerance and non yorubas influence among them. Their young enlightened ones are also saying no same as their religious ones in Christendom. Give me reason why a Yoruba man would vote Obi when Osibanjo is on the ballot then you would realize that Tinubu has factors against him.

Tinubu will clear south west. South South, he will easily wipe the entire Edo North (Oshiomole will even be on the ballot that day) Pdp will clear Edo central which is where I'm from, they will split Edo south depending on how much oyegun and the others corporate.
PDP will clear Delta North. APC will most likely win Delta Central (Omo Agege will win governorship election and the wave will affect presidential election) Rivers all depends on where Wike sway. APC won't win Rivers but the margin could reduce. Akwa Ibom win most likely follow Pdp. I don't know of Cross Rivers.
Apc will win North West. APC will win Niger, Kwara and Kogi. Nasarawa will most likely follow Pdp. APC chairman is not a serious person.
Apc will wipe Borno and Yobe and might win Gombe. Pdp will wipe Adamawa, Taraba and Bauchi they might win Gombe.

The only battleground he'll have is in SS in Delta State (okowa is running as VP with Atiku) and Rivers State if Wike doesn't throw his weight behind him.

That won't stop him tho. I know a PDP delegate who's straight up Obi for president but remains PDP in state.

As it stands: Obi is taking SE and SS (please is it Tinubu or Atiku that will win there? I'm resident there currently), steal some SW votes and some North Central votes. That's equivalent to two regions which one needs to win to be president.

Tinubu can still take SW but he can't replicate 2015 by taking North; Atiku taking North E/W. Nothing for Atiku in the whole South sef.

The apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo has called on the Nigerian youths of Igbo extraction to desist from tribalistic politicking as the country prepares for the 2023 general election.

Ohanaeze warned Igbo youths to participate in politics and support any political candidates of their choice without infringing on the rights of others who do not share their political ideas in the South-East or other regions.

The supreme Igbo group said this in a statement to mark the International Youth Day by the National Publicity Secretary, Chiedozie Alex. Ogbonnia,

It titled the statement ‘Ohanaeze charges Igbo youths to eschew ethnic chauvinism’ stating that it was in reaction to a statement by the Coalition of South East Youth Leaders (COSEYL) which warned Igbo youths not to support or vote for the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu.

The statement reads, “The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide led by Ambassador Professor George Obiozor urges the youths in the South East of Nigeria to eschew ethnic chauvinism as the 2023 general election draws nearer. The Ohanaeze admonition is in reaction to a statement issued by Igbo youths under the auspices of the Coalition of South East Youth Leaders (COSEYL).

“The group as quoted by the Guardian Newspaper of August 10, 2022, “warned groups and individuals promoting the presidential ambition of Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu to stay clear of the zone”. The group described as “unfortunate how certain persons from Igbo land would allow themselves to be used to promote the ambition of a man who is outdated in all ramifications in the scheme of things to be voted as a Nigerian president come 2023.’”

Ohanaeze said that since Nigerian youths from other regions are also supporting Igbo candidates, Igbo youths are free to support their own preferred non-Igbo candidates.

It called on the youths from the South-East region not to subvert the democratic process or invite hostility through their actions.It continues, “Ohanaeze Ndigbo acknowledges the inalienable rights of individuals and groups to express their views on national issues but advises that such rights should not infringe on the rights of other Nigerian citizens. Clarification is made that each of the presidential candidates has every right to campaign and canvass for votes in all parts of the country.

“In other words, since the presidential candidates of the South East or Igbo extraction enjoy untrammelled access and mass followership in other geopolitical zones of the country, it is a political self-immolation and indeed highly unreflective for COSEYL to embark on a misstep that may diminish the Igbo patina for inter-ethnic friendliness.

That's one thing most people not conversant with Rivers politics doesn't know. Rivers State is like Anambra, they are not zombies. No matter the money and campaign carried out in Rivers State, they will never vote APC ahead of PDP or presently now Labour Party in a presidential election. So if Tinubu is banking on anybody promising him Rivers vote, he should collect his money back because it is very IMPOSSIBLE for APC to get a reasonable vote in Rivers State. Wike can only influence his immediate family members and those whose belly is in his hands, but not the typical Rivers man or woman. Wike's romance with APC is on individual level, he can't influence any vote in Rivers State, let the doubting Thomases go and verify. As it is right now, if the presidential election is to hold today, LP will come first with a wide margin, followed by PDP. APC will come a distant 3rd.
