Now that the most troublesome item for the CBN-TIES application has been modified, I'm referring to the Entrepreneurship certificate and the acceptance of any Entrepreneurship certificate, applicants should diligently follow through on their application.

You should endeavour to submit a comprehensive business plan.Trust me many of you will not be able to come up with a business plan sufficient enough for a financial body such as CBN and BOI-the fund disbursing body. You may need to consult with professionals in the financial sector in your sphere of influence but if you can't find any you may need a professional consultant.

Your business plan is the reason why you may or may not be successful! A lot of insufficient and untenable business plans are all over the place. Your 'Financials' are extremely important,they expect to see a 3-5 year cash flow and cash flow analysis. It must be feasible and implementable.Also,there is bias towards agriculture and agricultural related businesses(60% of all approvals) and females have good chance of being approved.Your competition analysis must be factual,your headcount analysis must be thorough and your marketing plan must be sound. But most importantly,your loan financing analysis must be convincing. And so on...........

Download the GSI form and print it out on registered business name letterhead paper,sign and scan for upload on the platform.

Get acceptable guarantor with considerable financial stature and verifiable assets that must be filled on the downloaded guarantor form and it should be endorsed by a solicitor/lawyer with the correct stamp and seal.

Get Proforma Invoice and receipt from acceptable merchants selling Machine and Machinery related to your proposed business with their account detail in the business name on the invoices and upload on the platform.The cost of equipment will be sent to the merchant.This is another reason you need a consultant because you need a Merchant with whom you have an 'Understanding' in order to have substantial amount to do other 'things' with.

Also,be prepared for a 'Credit Check'.Go pay up your debt to any financial institution.

My original enquiry centered on the allowance of EDI certificate in place of those issued by polytechnic and universities.

I was old enough to know when a Dollar was exchanging for 110 Naira and then 120 under Obasanjo.

Under Jonathan, 1 dollar will fetch you 150, and then 190.

Towards the end of his tenure it rose to 210 Naira.

Buhari came. Dollar became 250, then 320. Next stop was 380.

Early this year 410. Later on 1 dollar became 450, then 480.

As at yesterday when a colleague wanted to change some cash

The Aboki dollars said its 568 Naira per dollar.

But just so we patronize him he will give us at 570 Naira/Dollar.

What this means is simply that Naira is not a good store of value for long term cash

In less than 1 year it lost around 30 percent of its value.

It was after the aboki dollars encounter that it actually rose to my consciousness and I did some calculation

Presently 1 million Naira is currently equal to 1,755 dollars.

Early this year 1 million Naira was equivalent to 2,440 dollars.

In other words if you left 1 million Naira in your Nigerian bank account early this year

You have lost about 700 dollars within January and October.

So I now I decided to look at options to preserve my long term cash.

I won't be leaving any longterm savings lying around in my account just for the bank to give me 0.1 percent interest.

The small ajo (monthly contribution) I am doing presently - from next year it is cancelled.

Unless they find a way for us to be doing it in dollars I will not continue

I must make sure to put that monthly contribution in dollars one way or another

That is what I have promised myself.

And these are my options.

1. Foreign bank account

Having a foreign bank account is my long term goal.

It is not cheap.

And I don't have the kind of money to open or maintain one yet.

But I will get there.

2. Domiciliary account

I honestly don't know much about this.

However, by monday I am walking into the bank so they educate me on the benefits, costs and requirements.

If it is something I fancy, then domiciliary account here we go.

But I am not putting all my eggs inside the basket of a dorm account

Because

from the little I know, governement can assign itself the power to convert all foreign exchange in Dorm accounts into Naira.

Its extreme. But its possible.

It has happened in Argentina before. It can happen in Nigeria.

3. Save in Cryptocurrency and Cryptocurrency dollars (USDT)

I have already started doing this in a small way.

I have small money in USDT and I hope to increase it.

Thanks to my colleague who encouraged me to take Binance and crypto serious

But the issue is, it is easily accessible

because USDT (or electronic dollars as I like to call it) can easily be converted to Naira.

Anyways, more discipline is needed on my part.

Another option is to buy and hold Bitcoin. That is the only Crypto I trust.

Because over a long period of time it has proven to always increased in value.

In this Nigeria one has to be smart with the way he handles his finances.

By next year we will enter the early period of election season.

And historically elections has been the period the Naira falls very fast.

Because of the high demand for dollars during this period.

Anyways, this is my plan.

Trust me,there are ways you can become recession proof in Nigeria. There are ways your 'Naira' can be above whatever level of recession. And,this is coming from a banker of over a decade. It depends on what you know,who you know, your experience and your level of exposure.

From science, everything you see is made up of the very same thing, atoms composed of 3 things electrons protons and neutrons. The difference between gold and sand is the number and arrangement of these three things.

All the color you see, exist only in your mind, there is nothing like colour. Rather, there are a type of energy wave from the sun and light sources bouncing around hitting everything around us, just like ripple on the surface of a pond travel around from their origin points when you disturb the water surface. Depending on the packing of atoms, materials bounce back these waves based on the size of the wave relative to the gaps between packed atoms and allow smaller sized waves to enter the material. When our eyes detects of the wave that was bounced back due to its size, our brain gives the material the colour we see. In truth, nothing like colour.

All materials are made of the same thing, but expanded like foam, with the gaps and pores so small our eyes do not see them. Who or whatever made this universe did it to be very big by using a sort of foam, expanded matter.

The sun is a nuclear reactor and is constantly re arranging atoms, making new materials from its existing hydrogen. So always remember this, the world is like styrofoam, owning all the styrofoam is useless, cause what you really need is what's important now. Gather enough wealth for you to live a comfortable life, gathering more is wasteful, cause nature has a way of recycling everything, including your body.

At some point in time, The hanging gardens if Babylon was the Obi Cubana wonder of the time. Today, we plant such gardens in our backyards, and call it acuponics. Work hard but do not chase wealth if you do not need it.

Today, many people mortgage their true wealth (spirit) to non matter beings or energy beings in exchange for their help to gather more styrofoam. Yes, all those this you call jazz and powers are simply contracts with beings we cannot see. Do you know ruminants that eat grass, like goats, antelope, zebras, etc do not see their predators most of the time, just because their eyes cannot detect waves large than the wave size equivalent to colour green.
