Frankly, the bottom line is the same. There is no fundamental changes/additions in the Oando-ENI deal announcements from what we had known several weeks ago.

You didn't get the gist but rather, you expected OANDO to resume on full bid but when it wasn't so, you decided to make excuse for the few offers still available!
Don't worry yourself, the Oando will still respond positively, if not to this news, it will respond to another soon coming one.
Don't play a smart trick here.
We can never say, it may even still end on full bid or closed higher than previous price.

It is old news because It stills refers to an approval from NUPRC which had already been given. NURPC itself announced about 3 weeks ago, that the transaction has been completed.
This is just ENI's own communication to the public about the deal; but it is not saying anything new.

Part of the article reads...''On July 3, the NUPRC announced that Oando had completed the acquisition of 100 percent shares of Eni in its subsidiary, NAOC, adding that an announcement was imminent.''

If NUPRC announced on July 3 (3 weeks ago) that Oando had completed the acquisition of 100% of ENI shares in NAOC, then it necessarily means that regulatory approval had already been given to both parties by NUPRC.

ENI is only making its official release or publication now.
Oando has always been the one communicating to the public on the deal, apparently to boost investor confidence because of their difficult recent history.

Hope you can read in the letter where it says "both parties cañ proceed with the completion of the transaction "

UCAP is supposed to touch around 45 before markdown, but these guys won't just allow that stock to breathe!
Could it be that they placed big offers at high prices to buy cheaper or they're actually taking profits?

* I'll say there's a timeline somehow because there are different degrees of sanctions, and depending on the offence....
* Those ones that faced suspension failed to submit 2023 final year report, Q1 2024 and Q2 2024 within stipulated time.
* For whatever reason, I don't think 2023 fye report should delay till mid year 2024.......So stiffer sanction was meted on the defaulters, in form of suspension.
* The more they delay again, the higher their fines are accumulating...
* There are rules guiding all these, and listed companies are aware of it as well.

If anyone complains of monopoly, why not set yours up first and wait to see if he'll (Alhaji) complain about it or not?
Why didn't the govt agency or whatever make a move to keep NNPC up and running?
For how many years have they grounded the countries refineries till now?

Alhaji complained that his friend that refused to invest in Nigeria is already taunting him......the friend advice him against setting up businesses in Nigeria but he rejected the advice because of the love for his dear country.....but see all those corrupted gold diggers frustrating what they failed to achieve!

I sincerely hope they call these cabals to order before they succeeded in frustrating this man!

The news has been out for more than a week or 2wks self.

14 was suspended (not delisted) for default in filing results within stipulated time.
Suspension/Sanction will be lifted once they submit their outstanding results to NGX.

Corporate Action is not yet out anyway, so not late in terms of qualification date....
