There are NGX rules that guides this........
Shareholders' will be aware but I don't think they've got more to say about the sales......than to give approval I think.
SEC needs to give approval for such sales and also ensure is in the best interest of the shareholders.
You can go thru Rule 15.32 and the amendments thereafter (it has more pages than the screenshot)

You are absolutely right. This may be a medium term play. I am will to give it 6 months and see what happens. Clearly the major shareholders are not yet ready for price to move. You remember what they did during the listing by abruptly holting the price before it got to N400. Even for this one they made it off market deal so it couldn't move the price. Perhaps they want to mop back some of the shares they were forced to sell to the public in the name of creating a float. However I believe the market now has to move the price to at least N413.......

Attached is the shareholders' structure as at the 2023 FYE....
We are yet to have the updated structure showing free float and new Directors holdings....,.
TRANSCORP PLC's shareholding may have increase or remain the same, so also HH Capital and other institutional investors sha.
Let's see how they intend to handle the full offers when they're ready. Na only them knows what their plan is and na only them fit move the share price at their right time.

The Microfinance Bank seems well managed, it's like their cooperative arm and consistent with dividend payment.
The bank is not supposed to be trading that low in market, the price shouldn't be in 2 region ordinarily talkless of staying below 2.
I think the current delay in filing of AFS has been a factor in the decline of the share price......because the unaudited looks pretty good.
As soon as result is filed, the suspension will be lifted.

When I read thru some of the views, what I saw from the contributors was simply to make you better and critically analyse a stock objectively like you said.

Boss, this small me have had course to argue with the likes of Pa Emma (more like a privilege for me) 😁 in some stocks when I consider it good to go.........which may not even be about numbers but some other factors not connected with financials ........the financials may even still be nowhere near the gurus expectations self (e.g. Geregu when listed). 😁

@Currentprice will say, he doesn't mind joining a stock when the bus has started moving only when he's convinced and bedsheet starts flagging it.

You can still follow what works for you since you're a long termer......just saying you should also consider other views as well, may not even be about yourself alone, but to be able to advice someone else with a balanced view as well.....like Doc said.

My Oga Mankind2024, like Doc said, kindly try and look into opposing views as well, it can only make you much better in this journey and equip you with ability to make better informed decision on your portfolios.
I've been reading part of the arguments and I can see that you're so much rooted to your views alone, trust me, you'll pick one or two useful hints from all these back and forth if you look much deeper.
Don't vex for this pls.

I think a situation where one can be emotionally attached to a stock is when the Financials are good, improving or solid management or name is behind it ordinarily........or strong indication that something positive will come out of it
I get emotionally attached to a stock when some of these factors are at play.....and I think it has worked out fine over time in more cases...

Well, over all, in NSE one can never say never sha.......

If I remember other things, I go add am. 😑

I was able to check TRANSPOWER's Q1, what I can say is HOLD and be patient.
If you are large and have spare funds, be topping your stakes as it's probably going down.
At current -10% in market, pick some if the fund is there....... medium to long term is looking good.
*Q2 will give more pointer.

PS: If you want figures and breakdown, consult PA Emma, Oga OGG or any of the gurus. Na my own amateur view I just talk.

When Geregu was listed, that one didn't even move past 120 if I could remember very well, it later fell and touched 99 or thereabout self, but with good news, it started shaking body small small......and the news of Afrexim Banks 5% acquisition helped its ministry to some extent then

BUT I don't think you should plan your trades on it for short term, I no see anything for short term but for long term, it should deliver well....
TRANSPOWER is good for long term.....
