While dhtml option is cool. I thin you need to be carefull on that header function. Pls make the TYPE a capital letter. Note like dis Content-Type. I notice an odd behaviour on IE about this a long time ago. Also use buffer to takee care of the headers sent. Cuz of some host enables buffer errors. Sorry am on mobile would have improved dhtml option. NOTE this too. If u are including dhtml option please make sure all your php script has no ending tag. Thats the "?>". I saw a note on php advisin the removal as some odd bbehaviours takes place

Well there are 2 ways.
1- Htaccess go and google up HTACCES
2- Using a php framework. Not necessary a big framework a minimalistic framework will do.

Also nairaland is not under a folder call nigeria. Nairaland uses what is called php path info to detect uri. Now d nairaland.com/index.php/topic-3286.html d index.php side has been renamed to nigeria. Thats why u see it such way. If u are using an smf forum then go search pretty smf mod. U will see a plugin that will do all this for u and even make your topic title in the url instead of numbers.

For me i develop my themes in two categories desktop and mobile. Now the user has the option to choose either mobile or desktop view. But my default it will detect if its a mobile browser it uses a mobile theme and if its a desktop browser it uses a desktop theme. No need for redirecting as its old fasshioned.
