One word, Asa is amazing! And her Bed of Stone is a different flavour of a timeless record that we haven’t had in music years. In this genre of soul, she sampled contemporary alternatives from funk to pop, ballad and electro with her rich deep baritones giving all the afro influence it deserved. The musical arrangement is void of any flaw whatsoever, you can literally feel the album’s synergy even strengthening as you slide from track to track. Best of all, one music mind delivered all of this variety in a singular production effort. Blair MacKichan (who also co-wrote Bed of Stone) would be the other music genius who makes Asa’s rhinestone shine even through bright light. I had so much fun reviewing this album as I did listening to it. Imagine loosing track of time writing just because you got too engrossed in listening? Well, that’s Asa… Bed of Stone!

IFE (Yoruba meaning Love)

Ife is a song about when your love life seems to be getting too much attention and press, if you know what I mean. Asa’s combination of English verses and a yoruba chorus on this song is the dream team.

She makes me love the Yoruba Language.

The chorus of this song gives a never Ending Energy that can literally take you up Mount EVEREST and Back.

Asa makes music look too easy, but I’m not fooled. This is genius plus hardwork.

If Beyonce could understand a word of yoruba, this would be her favourite too, I’m sure.

Society

Asa is madt. O boy she showed shex a true. WARRI GIRL.

E no mean say we dei same society, oooo e no mean say we get same philosophy.

Her intermix with Yoruba is excellent. Hahahahahahaha.

She talked about the perennial dishonesty, avarice, and insincerity of the average politician, and she only does it so well. I love this jam! Plus Asa’s pidgin English sounds so good. Na jam!

Comot for my face - As a lol!!! She talks without accent.

I love you girl!!!!!

SATAN BE GONE

This song displays or shows. musical exorcism at its finest.

The beats of the song Sounds Like WWE / SMACKOWN Intro song for JEFF HARDY at his last fight with THE UNDERTAKER.

I love the sounds of the thronging guitar riffs and echoes from a hollow way.

She really met a beat Producer. Asa is madttttttt.

I can't just wait to watch the Video

The One that never comes

Asa makes a dulcet bant about not wanting another’s love ‘cos she’s still strummed by The One That Never Comes.

If you are OLD SCHOOL guy. You must know of Bob Dylan’s 1973 hit record, knockin’ on heaven’s door.

This song talks about that moment of when you realize the brother( Dygeasy, naijaboy, ) or sister(marieolae, Mizmycoli) whom you had put in a friend zone jail is the ONE, after you waited endlessly for the elusive “one” that never comes.

Moral of the story: review your friend zone register often, to avoid stories that touch. Brilliant song!

Asa ones again Murdertttttttt. It lol!!!

"The One That Never Comes"

Why you want to tell me
All your secret?
Don't you know am a girl
Who never falls?
Why you want pour
Your heart out to me?
When you know I hit the road
Every single time you called

[Chorus:]
Please don't tell me you falling
Cus' I wouldn't know what to do with myself
Please don't tell me you love me
Cus' have be waiting waiting waiting for the one
Who never comes.

I have look for love in all directions
But you haven't been here all alone
So how could it be you?
In my dreams this was so different
But am caught off guard
And I don't know what to do.

[Repeat Chorus]

You are the sunshine in my day
You are the laughter
When we say
All the things we shouldn't say
When the others left you stay
Now that the cards have all been played
Baby let's not walk away

Please don't tell me you love me
Cus' I wont know
What to do with myself

[Repeat Chorus]

Moving On

This song literally got me Soliloquizing. I found myself trecking down the streets for about 30minutes with all awareness lost.

Really, who does a song about rape? Asa, that’s who, and it’s a masterpiece! Each time I listen to this song I can’t help thinking about a friend who once confided in me about her rape. Rape is barbaric, I know, what’s more sickening for me is that it appears to be on the rise and we can’t talk about it enough; and so, there couldn’t be a better time for this song. Asa, again, I think making a video for this song is mandatory, think of it as a social responsibility. I should also inform you that the male backing vocals on the chorus have a tendency to add a year to your life expectancy every time you listen. Touching!!!

Eyo

This song puts me in that fantasy moment where we hope , wished and paint how we dream of our HomeLand to be.

A Home or Nation, where children all run around playing in together, a home where the crowd can shout and laugh together, A home where everybody be It Northerner or Southerner or Easterner or Westerner can cal each others brothers and sisters. A home were everybody cares for one another, A home where we can look beyond the umbrella or broom and say we are one. A hone where BEREM5 can call Afam4eva her brother, where Seun can see the progressives as one. Where we can all feel at home.

Eyo is just so so fantastical. Once again am in love with Asaaa

Asa is a MURDERER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She murdered it. Wow. I just can't stop been so excited. All the tracks are just flawless.

From

Track 1 ( Dead AgaiN )

In this song she expressed her Furry and anger. She was so emotional that I felt intense pity for her.

I literally felt like picking up my own knive and join her in stabbing the guy at his back.

Asa is badtttttt!!!!. She though sounded like Taylor Swift. (That gal always talk like she alone suffers Heart Break)

Dead Again is a ballad gone Crazy. I love Asaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
RomanceRe: Opinion:sex Before Marriage by Ymodulus: 9:46pm On Oct 01, 2014
Hadizy: SEX ITSELF.
Not everyone is great in bed, and most people don't start out very good at all. A lot of good sex is about listening to your partner and being able to respond accordingly. But how do you know if someone is a good listener or responder unless you try it first?

SIZE
Don't you want to know if your husband is packing a hunting rifle or a tiny little plastic kid's pistol grin ? After all, he knows how big your bo.obs are. I'm not saying size would be a deal breaker, but don't you have the right to know what's down there?

SEX.UAL ISSUES
Sexual problems like premature ejaculation, inability to get an erection, or even an allergy to your partner’s semen are all possibilities, wouldn't you rather deal with those issues before you're married? This way you know if your future is even going to address them.

Let's face it, sex plays a big role in marriage. Just like you should discuss children, religion, and where you both want to live before tying the knot, sex is too big a part of a relationship to leave to chance.

I see nothing wrong with it oo!!. i wont mind sex before marriage cause i would not like to get married to someone who under-performs.

wink wink wink wink wink wink.
Awuzubillahi.

Now that was harsh!!!! Lol!

Ok check my examples and read again. The basis of my conclusion is this. Get a gal that makes you happy. You may even get the president daughter as your wife and she will still want you to take care of her family.

Just get that adventurous , wild crazy, happy , funny girl that makes you happy.

Class determines nothing. Trust me
RomanceRe: Why You Shouldnt Date A Broke Girl by Ymodulus:
The degree to which many of you lack basic social consciousness is astounding. Speculating on the "class" of the person you're going to marry before you've even had a single adult relationship is also fucking retarded.

I've never dated not even once in my life time. But I have been friend with both girls up and down the spectrum of "classes" (random: for a country that boasts of its social mobility, it's remarkable how much the income of one's parents determine life trajectory... and how some of you idiots care so much about it) and the only generality I've been able to pull is that rich girls act the most entitled. Then again, I've also been with independent rich girls who work for their own money and insist on contributing for their share. What have I learned? Each person is different. While certain patterns may exist, there are plenty of people out there who don't fit the mold.

After years of marriage, many people develop close relationships with their in-laws. In 20 years, you will either hate them or feel like they're your second parents. If the latter, I hope you will WANT to help them as you would want to help your own parents. If the former, and your wife insists on assisting them, you should STILL want to help them. They're her blood. You would want the same care for your parents if you couldn't afford it. Common decency isn't so common anymore, apparently.

You love hard-working banker girls? Faaaaaantastic. Take them. I'll go with the happy, outgoing, adventurous, attractive, non-neurotic women. *gasp* if I'm reaaaallyyyy lucky, I might even find one of those with some intelligence too. I know, I know: if you're not in banking or didn't go to a top target you're CLEARLY mentally challenged, but a man can dream, no? Seriously... why a banking girl? Have you ever been with one? Most of them are as dull as their male counterparts. Sure, they're ambitious. Some of them are attractive. Some of them dress really well. Most of the ones I've encountered get boring to hang out with quickly. And many are fu-cki*ng robots. Also, a girl can be independent even if she's not on the "greatness" track .

At the end of the day, I want to find someone who makes me happy. I claim to be an independent guy and, as such, am not ready to depend on my girls income or family money to support whatever lifestyle I may want. If she wants to work until we're married and then stay at home and focus on becoming the best wife and mother she can be, I'd be fuc*king ecstatic. If she wants to work, I'd fuc*king ecstatic as well. Compromise comes a lot easier when two people are happy together and genuinely care about one another. But fuc*k, I'm way too young to hypothesize about what makes a marriage work.

All I know is: I couldn't care less about how much money my girl makes. It's all about how happy I am with her. Also: you sound like a terrible, heartless fuc*king person. And you also sound like you have shit for game.

But, Wait

Come to think of it. It's always nice to go with the independent lady. At least if I date a rich chick, I will know she is not with me because of my bank account.

I am not a complete perfect purist. There is no such thing as a perfect political party, candidate who governs in accordance with one's every ethical judgment. But some actions are so ruinous to human rights, so destructive of the Constitution, and so contrary to basic morals that they are disqualifying. Most of you will go that far with me.

Let me briefly refresh your memory on who i am. I am that that young 19year old boy Ymodulus who a year ago called you for 25minutes or there about seeking your candid elderly advice on making and maintaining a first class. while i never made a first-class. Jarus advice has gown down deep into my blood marrows as a speaker and motivator one that can get you to do and achieve the best in you. He made me realize my dream of been one of the best student in my faculty. Even though i believe not in a god. i will call him one of my SEMI-demi GOD next to WOLE SOYINKA. I took his advice well and today well am grateful.

However sir.

I am just not in support of your of propose intention to go into politics. Sir my reason is that i see you more as a POLITICAL ANALYST than a POLITICIAN.

There are many more Political analysts that speak at briefings, talk to journalists off the record, take part in public platforms on radio and television, and inform debate in many ways. Relentlessly they repeat their "analysis", and their influence is profound. I haven’t included them here, but so many newspaper editorials at the time mirrored the sentiments expressed by these analysts. However, when it comes to actually understanding the electorate, voting intention and opinion polls, many of these analysts are often professional guessers at best.

Importantly, these analysts are unaccountable too. They can talk complete fiction and be widely quoted but do they ever apologize when they get it wrong? Are they ever fired? Do newspapers stop using their services? Not a chance. If anything, their celebrity seems to grow. They carry on as if nothing has changed — ironically, often to scold politicians for breaking their promises and being unaccountable themselves. They operate beyond reproach or criticism.

One might well ask: if they can’t understand the political marketplace, why listen to them when interpreting those myriad political events outside elections? The things written, have been so speculative that they border on the narcissistic, as if each commentator has direct access to the electorate’s collective brain. I could set out a multiplicity of similar examples of poor predictions for every election or campaign run in the past 12 years.

It’s a kind of fraud, and we give them far too much credit. They should be held to the same standard they so publicly and self-righteously demand of politicians.

They generally seem incapable of retrospection too. I could find only one example of an analyst trying to account for his poor predictions in a meaningful way. To his great credit, Habib wrote an article for the Sun News , after the 2011 election, in which he went through what he had said before and how he got it wrong. That sets him apart somewhat.

In his defence, Habib argued that analysts were not a homogenous group. He is right. And there are exceptions to the general, unthinking herd. They are rare indeed. Imoni Amamare of AIT Political platform, one of the country’s best political reporters, is meticulous about seeking out and speaking to experts who have and understand hard data before reporting on it. He and a few others set the standard in this regard. But even he would be at the mercy of a political analyst who, when phoned for comment, "felt" a certain way that morning.

I do not like to go further sir.

Summarily.

I am saying a big no to your political aspirations, because i feel you are a POLITICAL ANALYST and analyst don't make the best POLITICIANS.

Lastly

i must commend you for joining the Progressive. APC!!!

FamilyRe: Sex Between Brothers And Sisters Should Be LEGAL, Says German Government’s Ethic by Ymodulus:
Just reading through the comments, it seems many people can not see beyond their own personal feelings about incest to consider whether someone should go to prison for it.

In the case cited, there is a normal couple who love each other and have children just like anyone else, with the exception that they are brother and sister. They are not harming or impinging on the rights of anyone else, so why should their relationship be classed as criminal and subject to a custodial sentence?

It is surely immoral to lock people up simply because we don't like the way they live their lives. We have left behind locking people up for being Catholic, or for being homosexual, and it is time to leave behind this archaic law. If incest was decriminalized, the social taboo would still remain because so many people find it abhorrent, so it would not lead to a sudden increase in such relationships.

Some of the people expressing their disgust here might get a nasty surprise if they knew their family history. They might find they are descended from someone born out of incest because it was so common in past centuries. Even the Royals got up to it.
